Guys, i have a lg g3 d855 with german vodafone brabranding(bootul animation, vodafone apps) and then i downbraded and rooted to install androidnow hd. It removed all brandings and apps of my carrier. After time, i decided to unroot my device via kdz for warranty. So i did thag and kt worked well. I also used the kdz which is for my imei. But my branding and all the apps arent there anymore. Anyone know how do i get full stock like the day i bought it?

You must install an official update by using LG PC SUITE to come back branding. Try flashing a kdz of previous release and then update with pc suite.

Hello, I bought my LG G3 from Orange in france, my phone got stuck in a bootloop after i tried to flash a theme.
after looking on the forums, the solution was the flash the original LG G3 software, the tutorials are pretty easy. My only concern is, since the software on my phone is a modified "Orange" version, is it safe to flash a non "Orange" one?

Have you tried searching for the correct ROM trough LG's own servers using your IMEI??

Yes it's safe as long as you install the right version. Is you phone the 855(international version)? If so, try the 10j that is posted here in the forum. Is the best so far.
Hi all, managed to unroot my LG G3 UK Three mobile with a UK FW. But for some reason, the FW has a ton of German (I think?) locked in apps that can't be deleted. Which FW should I use to give the cleanest, non-rooted experience? Thanks!

Search threads for the IMEI lInk to download correct KDZ for your device and reflash or use LG pc suite make sure drivers are installed,connect device and once connected select from phone menu REPAIR UPGRADE ERRORS.
Allow pc suite to do its stuff and finish do not touch device until it's done,.it will scan your device and download and install/flash all correct firmware files for your device and put it back to how it's meant to be..

thanks for the replys if the bootloader doesnt get unlocked then thats going to destroy the g3 for development isnt it
is they a way to flash latest stock rom and get off the vodafone branded rom so i at least get all the latest OTAs?
Not sure I understand you question, but if you mean, whether you will be able to update the phone via OTA in the future, it depends.
If not or if it will not work, unroot your phone, install OTA and the re-root and you should be fine.
But still - all of that is already described in dedicated threads, don't be afraid to take a look around. :fingers-crossed:
As for the development - I guess when it will not get unlocked, it will be from my perspective one of the most wasted money on Android phone for many.

lol sorry what i ment is im on a vodafone branded firmware now and i wanted to flash a unbranded latest uk stock rom so it will be first to get OTA as branded firmwares can be a bit behind is it possible?

Eg. you can download FW based on IMEI (http://lg-firmware-rom.com/download-firmware.php?f=YOUR_IMEI_HERE), not based on whether it's branded or not.
But still you have option to use the tools like LG Flash Tool 2014 and simply flash latest firmware you want (for your variant)

I know its confusing but you can only flash TOT files with that tool - if you get your FW via the imei cause its a KDZ, for KDZ flashing you need to use this tool...

Now, that version came FILLED with unwanted aps and it's super slow. How do I go back to the full stock, and I mean the version that came with my phone once I opened it?

I also had tim and when I switched to no brand I stopped receiving ota and also lg bridge no longer updates my phone. I now use LGUP every time there is an update and do a manual upgrade. The lg bridge update log says the phone fails an imei test so I believe there's no other way to update for me and probably for you too.

I bought G7 TIM branded and I flashed EU open kdz. Even though I dont see any branded apps or stuff, in software info I still see 10q-222-01. Do u know how to make it EU Open?

If it was pure open stock, it shouldn't show that "222-01" thing in software info. It should be "EUR-XX". And I can't make it that way. I'm wondering if anybody achieved it.
Same issue..received a Tim branded G7 so installed GBR open firmware from LG fan now all good no branding just no OTA UPDATES..Anyone know of a fix for this save flashing every new update.?

What is the Italy code? Is it ITC?
So i flashed a few open firmwares..ITC and GBR open latest ones and earleir releases and none would OTA update only flashing back to origanal TIM firmware did it update OTA.
So its put up with branding etc and get all ota updates or flash a EU open firmware and keep doing this with every update.

No, only with hands through lgup
So is there any way for users to istall an open F.W so you don’t have network branding or bloatware
And still receive the OTA updates?and security patches
I know it don’t really make a massive difference but the branding and boot screen really winds me up for some reason..
I could send device back as I purchased in the uk thinking it would be a uk phone but it’s Italian..still says LG-G710EM so I guess it’s the Euro variant..

Any that’s an open for your regional area...

Yes, i know that i will no longer receive OTA updates what is quite logic, but manual update via LGup isn't a big problem for me. Just less convenience.
So, for Poland, firmware G710EM10q_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1219.kdz should be okay, yes? and one more question, the process of updating via LGup looks like normal firmware updating (keeping the configuration and data) or like clean firmware flashing?

Yes that’s an okay firmware for Poland and yes LGUP wipes and gives clean install each time I’ve used it..there maybe a way to upgrade once you have initial new firmware as you don’t want issues so clean install is best to start then investigate upgrade for next time.
When should 9.0 roll out? the G8 already released with it...
