i tried a number of ways to root my lg g3 but doesn't work. this maybe because of the software version v20u
any help here
to root lollipop you must get back to stock kitkat... root it and then update to lollipop with a pre-rooted lollipop rom
root
if it doesn't work == you are doing something wrong.
Hello everyone!
This is my first time on any forum . Now back to the issue. I am using LG G3 (f400l30c) Marshmallow 6.0 (official LG update). I want to safely root my lg now but i can find root only of lollipop or kitkat. I don't know if those same root designed for Android lollipop will work on marshmallow as well? Any help is appreciated!
P.S. I have never rooted by G3 before.

Hi folks,
I have a LG G3 D855P, currently running android 6.0, kernel 3.4.0.
My software version is: V30b-GLOBALL-COM.
I'd like to know if is there a new version I could update to like the v30J , I don't have any recovry installed and my phone is not rooted.
Previewsly I used the LGUP method to upgrade from stock android 5.0.X to my currently version.
How can I update my androidversion? and should I?
Thank you !
use the lg up to update from 30b to 30j using the KDZ of 30j
Greetings guys.
I am using Hong Kong version LG G3 D855 (32GB), with Android 4.4.2 (v10n-HKG-XX).
Recently want to clean my phone and re-flash stock ROM, and I noticed Android 6.0 is out.
I downloaded D855's "v30a" firmware here:http://lg-phone-firmware.com/firmware-Lg+G3-Tutti-41.html
And searched for root method around, but looks like there are no root method available, kingroot may be working but not sure.
Is my understanding correct?
If D855's Android 6.0 is still not rootable, then I will not flash 6.0 and I will flash 5.0. Please advise, thanks in advance!
Some people report that the kingroot method works but also some of them had issues after the process. Personally I don't trust this method that's why I'm still unrooted on 6.0.
The other thing you can do is flash a pre-rooted 6.0 rom on a previous android version.

I upgraded my Tab S to Marshmallow, but I want to downgrade it to Kitkat.
Can I just flash de Kitkat firmware with ODIN? In the past I went from Lolipop to Kitkat and as far as I remember flahsing the previous firmware was enough.
