Smart Lock - No Trusted Places on the Deb with 5.0.2 - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hi
Yesterday, I finally installed Lollipop 5.0.2 on my deb device. When i compare the Smart Lock options on the Nexus 7 with what I have on my Nexus 5, i find that the "Trusted Places" are missing. [emoji22] :crying:

What's up with that? Is there a way to enable it?
Cheers

I changed the language to English (Us) and then the option showed up. It's even still there, after I switched back to German.

If I recall correctly, I had to install trusted credentials in order to get the functionality when I upgraded mine.

Hi
What do you mean with "Trusted Credentials"?

[PROBLEM] Google Wallet !?

I've used Google Wallet for months, but this morning when I tried to buy coffee using my phone, I got this error.
I'm not sure how I got it. It used to work on my GN (Stock GSM [IMM76I] rom rooted with unlocked bootloader).
Should I perform factory reset ? (I affair it will cause secure element error since I can't access to setting to reset wallet)

Phone app problem after Android Pie update

Hello guys. After the newest Android update I'm really annoyed about phone app. Below is the new look of it -

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this is the old one which was way better as it split keypad + recent contacts and it was easier to make a quick call -
Is there a way to fix this without rooting the phone or using custom launcher?
Yea, flash back to Oreo
Pie is different, either get used to it or flash back
Or just install another phone app, I recommend Google. Phone app.

Question ColorOS Launcher 'shelf'

Hi, I am testing latest A12 firmware (upgraded from A11). Can anyone explain if the left screen (one that is symbolised by little hamburger icon on 2nd screen) can be turned off? I deleted all "stories" from there but remaining elemnts persist and I'd like to get rid of the whole screen/desktop as it's useless for me. TIA.

Hi, just go to Home screen & Lock screen settings and disable Smart assistant
You can't. I have the T-Mobile version updated to Android 12 and OnePlus took away the option to turn that screen off.
