Apps that are running in the background keeps crashing when using other apos. Especially annoying when listening to music on for example Deezer then the music stops and I have to restart the app again.
What might be the cause of this?

Music beta, the Google Android app that supports Google Music Beta, autostarts whenever it detects a BT audio connection that isn't being used. So, for instance, if I shut off Poweramp or another streaming player before I disconnect BT, it will instantly pop up and start playing, sometimes even before the other app has shut down.
There is no settings menu to prevent it from "reacting" to headset commands in the app, and I'd like to be able to control whether it autostarts or not from another application. I downloaded Autostarts, but it doesn't even recognize the event as a trigger for the application.
Any other suggestions? I'd uninstall the damn program, but it's the only app out there now that will play music stored in Google Music beta.
interesting. Have never had it auto-play on bt connect. Are you using the widget as-well?

Nope. I only run the app when I want to play music on Google Music Beta. Otherwise I run Poweramp. What's annoying is that I'll have Pocketcasts up and running and even playing, and suddenly Music will decide it wants to play, too. I had this problem with Winamp and I had it with the stock Music app.
I froze the stock Music app in Titanium, and I could always remove this one, but then there aren't any other apps that play music stored in Google Music.
haven't tried it (trashed google music) but something called 'phantom' (appbrain) claims to play google music in the pro version. I THOUGHT I saw another one that did it but can't find it now. Look around; keep eye out.
Ok this been a problem for me for a bit. When I play music from slacker, tune-in radio, and a local fm radio station app the music plays no problem when the screen is on and in the app. but once I leave to app to go to the home screen to do something else the music doesn't play in the background, or if I try to turn off the screen to save battery while listening it stops playing. But this doesn't happen when i use Pandora, or HTC music player or mixzing music player. With these they work the right way? Is their some kind of fix or work around? I tried uninstalling, and updating these apps with no luck. Back in the wm6 days they had a keep music playing fix to download and install, to keep music playing weather the screen is on or off. any ideas, fixes, or things I should try would be greatly appreciated. Please help. Thxs happy New year.
So ever since the 4.3 update I've found that all services are dying more and more often. I know this is due to them being killed on low memory (which also seems to be constantly incredibly low for no reason - I don't have loads of apps) but it's so frequent and includes things like Play Music which causes music to stop, restart songs, skip songs, or the app to close without resetting. Is anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions as to what I can do even if just for Play Music, it barely makes it through a song
I don't know exactly since when this is happening, but whenever I play music and then want to take a picture (camera app or inside whatsapp for example) the music stops playing.
And not only does it stop playing. Play Music completely disappears from the statusbar and I have to reopen the app to start playing music again. Also it doesn't save the state of the played song.
It's really annoying!, if I have some others apps running in the status bar (like a reminder) them disappear too, and almost all time Nova Launcher has to refresh itself when I go back to homescreen, I never had that problem with my old Nexus 5 :/
By the way, Im using stock Rom 7.1.2
Hello guys.
I seem to have a problem while playing music on my S7 Edge (SM-G935F). I'm currently on my latest Lineage OS 14.1 nightly at the time of this post creation (hero2lte 2018-04-10 build). So basically, whenever I play music on the stock Music app, the music initially plays normally and smoothly (although most of the time I have to re-tap the play button for the music to actually run). When the phone sleeps, occasionally the music has some crackling, glitching sounds, which is ear-piercing and not at all favourable. The crackling sound is a bit similar to the sound produced when the headphone jack is loosened and readjusted. In worse cases, the music pauses until the phone is turned back on.
A few minutes after stopping and quitting the music app, the phone suddenly restarts by itself without any prior signs of lag or extreme RAM usage. This usually occurs when the phone goes to sleep. The restart also happens whenever I leave my phone to sleep with a Youtube video paused. I tried clearing apps in Recents, and freeing up some RAM using Booster but none of them made any difference. It is only when after the restart the music plays normally before these problems happen again.
Other music apps seem to have the same problem as well. The issue becomes more prominent with Google Play Music, but zero problems arise with Yonder Music (though its service was discontinued now). Spotify and sometimes Vanilla Music also shows a few signs of this problem. This problem also seems to be random. Sometimes the stock Music app plays smoothly, sometimes Google Play Music plays flawlessly, and sometimes both cannot even play a whole song during sleep.
I have been googling this issue a lot but to no avail, none shows up to be the same problem as mine. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any solution to this odd issue I'm facing? Thanks.
