[Official] Htc One X accessories

here you can have a look at the upcoming official htc one x accessories. thought it was a good idea to put them in a seperate thread

heres some detailed info on some of the neat things http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/blog/2012/02/htc-one-x-accessories-available-first-from-mobile-fun/ but the one that catches my eye is the HTC One X Speaker Dock CR S650 can just keep my fingers crossed that someone releases a case which extends the pogo pins.
strange is that when i search for more images info etc on the s650 i get this dock http://www.parrotshopping.com/us/p_htc_item.aspx?i=229884 its the same on this this page http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=229884&phone=229814 and on alot of pages so i guess they got the images mixed up..

was wondering why is it call a hard shell when there is a flip there...
no way am i getting a casing with a flip cover on it.. hate those designs..

First impressions- I don't like the way it's not going to completely cover the top or bottom of the phone, it also seems like the kind of case that clips on - not a big fan - (I'll see how it fits when I get the device) - material seems good though (hard plastic).
May be a good stop gap until casemate get their tough cases out (loath to pay 30 quid though, but always found them to offer A+ protection)

but noticed something, and maybe its just me having a complete lack of sleep (long story), but it seems the dock uses micro usb port of the phone, but if you think about which way you dock the phone, wouldnt that be the wrong side of the phone?
can someone confirm, or am i going crazy?

I thought the exact same thing earlier. The location of the micro usb plug on there would mean that the micro usb port on the phone would have to be on the right hand side, but in all pictures it's been on the left hand side.
Perhaps it's a mirror image, for some reason?

the phone has 5 metal dots on the back. these are the dock connection. not the micro-usb port.

Good point someone just made, you can't see the LED for notifications.
Not a major thing for me but it maybe for some people.

It also makes using the camera a bit of a pain. Useful for proping up the phone though.

Yeah I agree. Not my kind of case tbf but as it's a genuine product I thought I'd review it. My favorite case so far is a case from tech21

Like the fit, but blocking the led and awkward way you'd have to use camera make it a no go.

Cheers. Too many downsides to make it the case for me but they are very popular with S3 owners.

I don't mind the not holding anything side of things but they are expensive. You can tell it is a very high quality case though.

Those of you moaning about the led being covered just leave the cover open when on a desk!
As for the video, the screen turns off when your on a call anyway......

Yeah I'm aware the proximity sensor turns the screen off when it's by the side of your face but I thought it was worth pointing out it still works with the case.

Hello everyone,
I'm using the flip cover on my S3 and is exactly what i wanted. The only problem is the led being covered, so, i used a tool that i have to make holes on belts to make one on the cover and now is perfect for me.
See the pic below. The cover is very hard, i had to make a lot of "force" to make the hole.

I doubt they will but I think it would increase sales as a lot of people have pointed out the issue. I can't see how they can solve the issue of using the camera though.

Can someone that owns this case answer me this;
Is this cover protective for the screen in a case of a fall? I mean does it "lock" in place over the screen? If you turn it upside down for example, the flip opens?
I believe its the most basic thing that should be answered (if it does not protect the screen its useless) and no one in any review does this simple test.

Sorry I thought it was clear, no it doesn't lock to the screen so it dropped it could easily flap open.

ive pre ordered the case as its not out in australia yet, i should be getting it next week. never really thought about the camera and stuff until you guys mentioned it. ive used pu leather flip cases before and havnt really found it a problem. hopefully ill enjoy it as much i planned to. i love the looks and quality of the case, ive paid $39 aus for this product. cant wait..

I got one of these a couple of weeks back for my device. I found it was rather annoying having to hold it at an awkward angle when on the phone. I wish they'd made it flip up or down instead of to the side. It also means you can't hold it very well with your left hand either, as it adds even more width on to the device!
I've switched to a skin thingy now instead, even though it leaves the screen open to damage. I'm still looking to get some kind of plastic cover I can use with the skin I've got though.

360 case

Hi,
My current case has a really bad fit, blocks part of the screen and has no access to the headphone jack. So I need a good case that will protect my V500 and which can stand (easily) on it's own, since I'm using the V500 primarily for video.
Is anybody using this one?
I realise it's not a smart cover, but with the knock on/off feature I'm really not missing it on my current although crappy case.

The thread "Anybody found a good case?" features one person who has it, and apparently likes it.
Edit - Oops, looks like you found it already. MY question is, do you mind the added bulk, and how easy is it to separate the tablet back portion from the cover? Some eBay pics suggest it's possible.

Personally I don´t mind the extra bulk, if the stand functionality really works.
For obvious reasons I haven´t tried this exact model, but in my experience you "click in" your device so it´s kinda difficult to take it apart. So I wouldn´t recommend taking it apart and puting it back together on a frequent basis.

This one is great for video playback.
I had it for an IPad Mini (and a Samsung Tab) and liked it. It's not the lightest or thinnest but it is excellent otherwise.

Problem with smart case

Hello guys! New to the smart case thingy, so a few questions to ask before I do anything to hurt my device unintentionally.
1. I bought a cheap smart case from my local night market, it is a lot cheaper than the "original" one from the phone store, does it works the same as well? I mean, well the night market one possibly damage my device?
2. When i use my "smart case", when i flip it open, the screen turns blue first before goes into the lockscreen. when i unlock, it flashes blue screen too before i can see my homescreen. is that normal?

Not normal, I have an oem case no issues with magnet at all.
I got it for 25.00 us, I have seen some slightly used ones on ebay also in the 20 dollar range.

I have bought another ”original” protective case, much cheaper - but it doesn't activate the smart screen (although it completely covers the screen).
Do you think I can ”smarten” my cover?

Before you do anything to your cover, have a magnet, and put it in front to the black thing between the front camera and the speaker.
If it show you a circle (like my video) it's ok for you.
What you have to do is to add a magnet inside your cover.
Honestly, it has more probability to destroy your cover or make it ugly than make it perfect.
I think it's way more better for you to add another cover. This one seems ok and seems to have a magnetic lock.

I have already punched a hole in the cover, down below, in order to actually see the notification led, so adding an ultra-thin magnet on the inside won't be a problem. The problem is, placing a magnet in that spot (the sensor between the front camera and the speaker) doesn't do anything.

Does anyone's sview clock still look like this? I'm sure mine used to but now doesn't have all the mini lines marking out the individual seconds/minutes - how to get them back?

When i open cover, it shows me always telephone, not homescreen. How can i change that?

What version rom are you using? I've not heard of anyone else with this problem so it is a strange one?!

I would recommend upgrading to Eragon ROM, perhaps wait for the soon to be released v4.0 or else you can try a factory reset of your current rom.

just to clarify it looks like this picture(no mini lines) or the first picture I posted with mini lines? thanks! I prefer the first picture myself but don't know how to get it back to that?

That first clock is gorgeous. I have the eragon clock but I would like to change it. Does anybody know the directory the clock is in?
