Missing soft keys - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I was on stock Lollipop (Europe) 855 V20F.
I wanted to root and install a custom rom so I switched back to KitKat, rooted the phone (PurpleDrake), installed a custom recovery (TWRP) and flashed Cloudy. In the instructions it said to flash the Android L BaseBand first (a 28 mb file), so I did.
Installed cloudy, everything was fine.
I switched back to Android L stock and the soft keys were missing. Hard reset did nothing.
I installed stock kitkat V10N and the softkeys were back.
Switched back to Android L stock but nothing. The soft keys are still missing. Anyone got a solution ?
I used LG Flash Tool 2014.
Thanks.
Problem solved.
Installed Kitkat.
Rooted.
Custom Recovery.
Full Wipe.
Installed stock Lollipop.
Stock keys were back.

Thank you.

From stock 5.0 to a custom rom ?

Hello guys, i was wondering since I've made the 5.0 update (european) if it was possible for me to flash a custom rom like cyanogen without root (because root isn't an option since llp) ?

After flashing a ROM, flash SuperSu 2.4 to get root.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Free mobile app
But how do I flash without root ?
It's noobish question, i can't get to recovery, I've tried with the Power and vol down keys, all i can get is a menu to erase my data, thats it.
Firsh backup your data. Then go back to EU stock ROM:
here are the stock ROMs: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G3%2FStock%2F
how to go back to your stock ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
Now you can root your LG G3, use TWRP/CWM custom recovery and flash custom ROM.

TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-2-8-2-0-t2966129
Thank you, I hoped there was another way, i will downgrade then, thanks.
maybe there is. Im not pro neither I received OTA for 5.0, but I wanted to have my LG rooted, so I had to downgrade and now I am running AN HD.

flashing lollipop update

i need help here. here's my scenario. im using lg g3 d855 with kitkat 4.4.2. i got an OTA notification update to lollipop (v20b SEA), since im rooted i tried to flash this using the lg flash tool with the correct kdz file. i was able to update it to lollipop and everything seems fine; however since i find it pretty big(for dpi) and also not rootable yet, i tried to downgrade again to kitkat (v10k) and it went fine. i was able to root it using purpledrake l, then install twrp to revert back to my nandroid backup. so overall, everything went back to normal.
after 3 days, i decided to go thru to lollipop again
so i did the flashing of the update, but after all of this and during the initial setup, i noticed that mobile network isnt working. i tried to ignore this and just continue to finish the setup. after all is done, and im on the homescreen. i noticed that i dont have the navigation button. also when i tried to switch on the mobile network, it was grayed out. i tried all the possible method of reflashing back this lollipop updte(even redownloading a fresh copy of the kdz file), but to no avail.
question is how to flash back this lollipop update with all functions working?
any help will be much appreciated. sorry for the long story!

Does installing a TWRP Backup also affect phone Firmware?

Hello guys,
following situation:
Long time I had a 4.4.something Rom installed. Before I flashed a custom Lollipop rom, I followed the advice to just go back to stock and let it update to Lollipop so that the firmware will be updated accordingly and I won't run into problems when flashing a Lollipop Custom Rom. Everything worked fine. Now I had to send my phone to HTC for display repair and just to make sure they won't nag about the custom Rom I reflashed some older stock rom via TWRP backup I found here, I think it was a 4.0 or so. The question is, does this also affect my phones firmware or is it still on the current newest level? So when I get it back, would I need to update to stock Lollipop again before flashing a custom rom or can I go for it straight away?

It won't affect your firmware.
Okay thanks, so Firmware should still be up to date and I can flash a Lollipop Custom Rom. I don't know what they do at HTC repair, if they only reset it or if they also update it, well I'll see.

Return to stock rom when rooted already - D852

I have a LG G3 D852 that I rooted and installed TRWP on it. I modified many things on this stock lollipop rom. I want to return it back to original condition. I tried the factory reset and it works except it says "Unfortunately, home is not responding." I cant get into the home screen.
Is there a way I can flash a rom to get it back to stock?
Never perform a factory reset w/ a custom recovery installed. In order to return to stock, you'll need to flash the stock ROM using either the KDZ or TOT method...

I tried flashing all 3 of them, but after flashing, only samsung logo flashes and sometimes it vibrates. Also it is hot to touch. Wich MM should I use. Or is there somewhere debloated zip ?

As you've flashed a non stock rom you will have to factory reset before or after flashing the stock firmware.

Unfortunately many of the "how to" guides don't tell you that. Had the same problem on my SM-T700 and even a factory reset and wipe cache didn't solve the problem. I flashed TWRP and then it booted normally. Then I flashed stock recovery to get it back to completely stock.
