Quick question. I purchased a note 4 from ebay. How can i check if its a developer edition or regular one. Both seem to be SM-N910VMKEVZW on the samsung website. They're both N910V? I'm lost.

I'm sure the description would have said "developer edition", you can remove the battery and look under it to see if it is a DE, it will say Developer Device if it is one.

Chill out, guy. If you happened to read his shipping details, or try to actually order, you'd realize there are no shipping options for the US. Worldwide delivery pertains to Canada and Europe.
Also, I sent the buyer a message about possibly shipping to the US and he never got back to me =\ Hopefully if more people ask him about it, he'll make it an option.
I also asked the guy but no reply yet

I love the OP's eye roll about not clicking the link. Obviously, the OP didn't click the link either, since the ebay seller clearly says: "Post to: Europe, Canada". Do you see US listed there? Nope.
Okay he replied and added U.S now so we can all order now its about $11.00 I just ordered my white one.....

also, i spent 5 more seconds on the ebay ad and clicked "more information" and saw this.
I wish there was a metal (or partial metal, so as to not interfere with the reception) back plate, but this is certainly a step in the right direction. I love how thin the Vibrant is, I don't want to add a case to it.

I guess the goal here is you would have root on 4.4.4 with no problems and the unlocked boot loader for roms choice, and rooting in future with Lollipop. (Which sadly doesn't look possible in the future with out and unlocked bootloader.)
dont think that should be a problem? with unlocked bootloader throw twrp on and use su zip. at least that is what you could do on note 3 dev ed. unless 4.4.4 has changed

Exactly,
My question maybe should go into a previous developer forum but how does rom updating work because I've heard the developer editions doesn't get official updates. How would we update to Lollipop etc, are there modified rom versions that take out the boot loader locking triggers? or is this even a worry. Maybe someone can chime in with a Note 3 Dev.

you would have to have a dev extract it from regular note 4 or whatever gets update. i had the note 3 and zero updates. and twrp and root triggered knox 0x1 on it just like regular but it shows dev mode

no warranty if you root it like normal and no ota at all. no offical support from samsung
Not sure if this is the right section. I apologize if it isn't.
Reason for selling: Bored w/ the phone as there is no root option yet. For any purists out there this is great phone and has been meticulously taken care of since day one.
Details:
Condition: Mint; Like New
- 32GB Galaxy Note 4 AT&T White
- Moshi Tempered Glass Screen Protector
- Grey Body Glove Case
- Zero Lemon 10000 mAh Case & Battery (about 2 days of battery life)
- Updated to most recent software (can downgrade if needed)
Looking for an AT&T Model. Color doesn't matter. PM if you have what I'm looking for and we can take it from there.
I'm not sure if they have a section here for this but...
Have you tried your luck on swappa? That may be a good option for you, idk. Best of luck

I checked Swappa briefly yesterday but it looks like you have to sell your phone and then buy one.
Can you please inform, where and when your replacement unit has been produced?
You can find out this with the Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app from Google Play
There must be a way to find out, even if we don't see the square on the box - e.g. when buying a used Note 7 ...
Thanks !
Vietnam 31/8.....indicates this problem was known about for a while or that factory wasn't using the SDI batteries.

from what I've read Samsung won't be using their internal battery supply dept for these due to issues and that they are looking to their other suppliers for fulfillment. I'm sure they are just using existing battery stock (not SDI) to fulfill exchanges then when back up to full capacity can fulfill existing orders and new stock orders.

According to phonearena, the new Note 7.2 should have a green battery indicator icon.
Can you guys with new devices confirm this?

If yes I would like to know how is the battery in the new phones. Thanks in advance
Hi guys,
I'm planning to get the note 7. Just wondering if anyone can post an image of a brand new unit if you got one. Does it really have the letter S mark? Or the black mark? Thanks!

Mine was the canadian version. Has the black square.
Wow that's it? The black square? OK it is good to know, but those out there with malicious intent, selling defective units on the 'Black Market' can easily draw up a replica symbol on the label to pass off as new 'Safe' units.
You can check the imei on samsungs website

Unfortunately I haven't opened it or made any other observations. I sold the new one on Craigslist unopened. I wanted an exynos version so will wait to get my hands on one of those after after the dust settles from the recall.
What I did notice was that the label with the black square was on top of the original label.
So my assumption is that these units were old stock, but Samsung knew which units had the unaffected batteries and therefore just relabeled them with a new identifier(black square) to know good from bad.

Only this letter was included in the shipping box with the new phone box.
It just tells me to drop off old unit at a Samsung store. On back side of letter it just names all the locations that i can drop it off.
No mention of what happens if i don't or no mention of any deadlines to drop it off by. I originally bought my unit from Samsung.ca.
They probably have my credit card on file and would just Bill me if they didn't receive my recalled unit
