To all the guys n gals out there who think that doing that would root their handsets then I'm sorry to bring it forward but it is not as you think ! that guy most probably flashed the SuperSu.zip and then enabled those settings in the settings menu, but his root privileges are because of SuperSU and not coz of what he claims to have done.
CM does comes with pre-installed Superuser by Koush, but in case of Yureka and OnePlus One, they have provided it without the su binaries that are needed to actually enable and use that inbuilt superuser app. So it doesn't matter what you do, until n unless you don't install those su binaries there's no way you are getting those superuser privileges of yours.
If anyone's interested in "Enabling that In-Built superuser app" they can check out this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/general/request-enable-inbuilt-superuser-cm11-t3021228
Thanks to @Titokhan , he was the guy who confirmed it for me, I am currently on inbuilt superuser, the menu is enabled in settings, under developer options and it works, but you need to flash that superuser binary. I'll provide the screenshots, if anyone wants proof then, but Mr. Titokhan has already posted it in that thread.
So if anyone's really interested, just go to that link provided above and read, it won't describe the step by step method to gain that but it will provide the proof that it is possible.

Hi guys - is it working OK? There was an update that should now make it fully compatible witg the GSM S3.
.........................................................................................................................................................................
Hello everyone! I am the developer of Prepay Widget, a small app that allows you to monitor your account balance through USSD requests.
You can find more info about USSD on Wikipedia, but basically these are short, SMS-like messages used by most GSM and some CDMA providers to deliver information
or control account services. The actual information comes to you in the form of popup toasts, which thids app hides and parses into widgets.
You can find the apps landing page on XDA at the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12348102
However, i want to stress that its important that we get some device-specific feedback, so please post in this thread if you have issues,
this helps me keep track of bugs and requests better.
You can use the Lite version of the app - it has all the functionality of the full version apart from automatic updates (not really that important imo).
As I haven't got one of these phones in my pocket, I need some testers to track down problems. Please, use this thread to comment or
suggest features. It is my belief that addressing issues is best done individually by phone, so if something doesn't work, let me know and I will fix it ASAP.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.ussd.widget.lite
Debugging:
Please use the "Write to developer" item in the Settings menu to send logs. Enable debugging, reproduce your error and then send the logs.
Make sure you include a description - the more detailed the description the better.
Screens:
Been usign it for quite some time now, full version. First on Razr XT910 and now on SGS3 with root.
No problems here. Widget set up to open the ap or to update balance works just fine.
Running BLG8
Thanks. Are you on a stock firmware?

Anything to report?
I downloaded your app and ran it, it updated fine whilst setting it up but now it never updates(just stuck on the circle) and my USSD codes don't work anymore when I type them in the dialer. It gives me the "connection problem or invalid MMI code" responce. Uninstalling did not help and I still get these issues dialing in the USSD code.
I was using 1.3.3.3 on Paranoid Andoid 1.992 and Siyah Kernel 1.52.

Yes, Using SuperSU; It's says permissions have been granted.
Its probably supersu. Try this - uninstall, reboot, install. Make sure youve set ss to always grant permissions.
One a sidenote i dont recommend supersu.

It did not work, oh well, I guess I might switch over to another SU app later. Once I do, I'll let you know if it works or not.
Im afraid i cant recommend supersu. It really sucks atm, everyone has denounced it.
Hi,
i've been using prepay widget on ICS (galaxy s 3) for long w/o any probs.
now upgraded to JB XXDLI8 and it just stuck with adding ussd code (circling without any progress)
i did a uninstall and reinstall and it did not help (baseband DLI8, supersu installed)
what can i do?
P.S. when disabled root mode it worked fine. But how can get it work with root?
We dont support leaked firmware of any kind, ever. When a final official build is released, i will look into the issue.
hi
updated to official release XXDLIB, problem still remains
when granted root it just stucks on adding ussd code, without root it works but updating screen is annoying.
should i send you error log? would you mind?
Yes, with a description.
Ok, sent it by write to developer after enabling error log.
Hope you can find the source of problem
Regards

So I just rooted my Nexus 7. I am not interested in changing the ROM, unless I really should, since I really like the Stock ROM. What are some good things to do while rooted?
A side note: I called Google before I did the procedure and they said unlocking the bootloader would not void the warranty. So, that is interesting.
... now you search and find cool things to do with your rooted tablet.
I'll toss you a breadcrumb though- Xposed. The rest is up to you.

Second that - once you've fiddled with a decent number of Xposed mods, there is no turning back  :good:
I'll toss you three other subjects related to Xposed - MoDaCo, GravityBox and App Settings You'll come a long way with those!
Also, the first things I install after updating firmware are ROM Toolbox, Root Explorer and Xposed. Then you can do anything!

Run Linux on it in a chroot ?
Do some hacking to see how the device works
Install busybox once you rooted, if the root process did not install it.
I have a version of busybox (1.21.1) compiled using the android-ndk
As some of the google search pages do not tell you, that if you don't use the ndk it breaks busybox's wget, traceroute, ping etc.
I know their are apps to install busybox, but they want a "donation" which usually I don't mind doing, but not for something I can compile on my own.

So, given that SuperSU seems to be considered the more reliable root control app, why has PA switched to Superuser? This is really just to satisfy my curiosity, I don't mean any criticism in asking this.
Curious as well. The switch seems to have introduced a redundancy, i.e. SuperSU needing root from Superuser to give root access to apps already granted root by SuperSU. It's a bit confusing...

Awesome, thank you. A little further down from that post mentions that you can uninstall SuperSU from the Play store. Did just that, no more redundancy!
I don't know how you guys manage to sift through 49,000 posts, though...

What uhh..happened to Koushik Dutta.. That's who "was" clockworkmod..superuser.. Etc.
Decide to give it all up is that why it's open source ?
More importantly who's fork have you decided to work with ?

What? It was always open source and koush still develops it.

My own ignorance..
I did a search on the play store & saw a bunch of forks.. none from clockwork though at first glance..
Hi! I have been figuring out how to root and setup my Sprint lgls990. I was able to root and get SU installed but now I really want to adjust/tweak the device with the G3 Tweaks App. It states that xposed framework is required also but I am not sure how to install or setup Xposed. Should I just install the Xposed APK then install the Tweaks app? No special instructions for the Sprint G3 or anything I should do first? Thanks for any help/advice!

download the xposed apk install it follow the steps(unknown sources and stuff)
then in xposed install framework and then reboot then in xposed go to modules and check g3tweakbox then go to the app and select what you want then reboot again
Thanks! I am going to give it a try soon as my TI backup is finished! I seen something about not using some tweaks with Sprint ls990 is this correct or just someone's bad luck/mistake? If so which tweaks to avoid? I won't bother you guys anymore after this! For awhile anyway! Lol! Thanks again!

A small tool which makes the installation of xposed an easy process.
-I support only 5.0.x stock. If ot works on other versions - good.
*** I am NOT the author of xposed ***
The XPOSED AUTHORS original thread is here
make sure you thak to @rovo89 for xposed and his hard work.
--IF anyone else is to be added to the xposed dev list please pm me so I WILL add it. Thank you---
I'm just putting everything together so you can install it via 1 click
What does this tool do ?
BUTTON "INSTALL"
-Installs the complete xposed which includes the installer which is also copyrighted by it's authors
-makes backup of LG crucial files which would force close if we don't remove them (for now)
-deletes the mentioned files (smartcover, lgweather)
BUTTON "COMPLETE UNINSTALL"
-removes the complete package of xposed
-restores LG files (smartcover and lgweather)
-makes sure the permissions are the right one
The 3 dot menu contains:
"ABOUT" ---- Please read this...you need to read this as it's important
"DONATE" ---- support the further development etc
"EXIT" ---- EXITS the app
"UNINSTALL" --- This uninstall is only for those who have manually frozen the files and just want to uninstall xposed so they can unfreeze the apps later.
Req: a rooted LG G2 and TWRP installed.
An alternate build will also contain the files for those who just deleted the files and now want them back.
Please read this thoroughly so later there are no headbangs..

Haha...yeah...but it helps more than you know...this tool will probably prevent at least 100 noobish help i installed xposed and everything force close threads and posts
thanks @bender_007
Mate, I have to ask why. This is such a simple process if you have root, changing the update script and binary you open a new can for bugs... what's wrong with the official zips?
So is this not supported by non stock ROMs?
nice tool. altough I allready installed xposed manually an frozen the apps it will be usefull for unistall process if needed.
FYI do not try without custom recovery. I don't know wtf I was thinking, but I tried without custom recovery. Failed to completely install, but it booted up again. Then tried to uninstall whatever may have installed, rebooted. BRICKED. TOTing back lol. I am such an idiot sometimes.
I had smartcover and lgweather force closes on ls980. I didn't realize it happened to other variants! Thanks this is a nice tool!
The Play Store Link does not indicate a need for TWRP. Is that just an oversight, or does that version not require it. Rather be safe than sorry.
You need TWRP. I bricked my phone and had to tot back. Make sure you have custom recovery.
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Free mobile app
It does require twrp. Playstore rejected the app 3 times so I had to change text not to include some brands etc.
I know it seems I'm beating a dead horse but, any luck on a non recovery version yet? My tablet feels lonely without xposed!
When it's on testing I will send it to you . But get also a kdz of your system os if needed.
Hi, a silly question if I have uninstalled LGSmartCover and theses kind of LG apps that will cause FC, there will be some problem like the installator crashing because can't find LGSmartCover and lead to a bad installation....?
