[Q] What are these strange "scritch" sounds when video recording?

this is a video I took
youtu[dot]be/Vn7GNdQ-fNk
please replace [dot]
I'm not sure if the problem with the audio is because of the loud sound coming from the bad or something else.
There's also an annoying "scritch" sound every 2-3 seconds or so.
I have original firmware, used the stock video recorder. No change in settings except for video resolution at 640x480
Is anyone else having problems recording a video with Note 2?

Is There a Better Microphone 4 Live Recording?

Hey everyone. Is there a better microphone? I'm tired of recording video on this phone and having the audio playback completely distorted. I am trying to use my Hercules as a secondary video cam when I am shooting live music. It seems no matter loud or quiet the band is or where I am relative to monitors or pa speakers, the audio when played back is completely worthless and not usable no matter how I manipulate the audio track with filters, compression, removing background noise, etc... . If anyone has an idea other than buying a second GoPro videocam, I would gladly listen.

[Q] Camcorder one channel audio (no stereo in video recordings, top mic low volume)

Hi,
I have very annoying issue in my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
I'm running LiquidSmooth 3.1 (4.4.4 KitKat) ROM.
Cutting to the chase, when I'm recording video (through stock app or google camera from Play store) my phone records right channel audio very well (bottom microphone). Unfortunately audio recorded by top mic (left channel; camcorder mic) is very looooow on volume.
Example: I record a video, then I upload it on my computer, starts playing it - I can hear audio in right speaker, left one seems totally quiet. When turning volume up to the max, I can hear audio in left speaker but it's still very quiet.
I thought it's just video recording problem, but I tested it with Easy Voice Recorder Pro - when recording mono, everything is fine. When recording stereo - same issue as while recording videos.
Does anybody encountered same issue? Is it software issue, maybe whole ROM related? Or is it hardware issue?
Thanks

Well, not especially rom related, but all AOSP, CM etc. seem to have those sound issues atm. If it is important for you, consider a TW rom.

Okay, thanks for answer.
Is it happening to everyone or just some unlucky people?

It is very common issue for all users, as I said: atm=at the moment. Even phone calls can suffer from mic troubles.
One important thing: It might be solved already lately or in the next hours or days. Read in the threads

Audio popping in recorded video (Note 4)

I got a Note 4 DE a few days ago and am using JasmineROM 3.1. I have noticed there is random audio popping in the audio track when recording videos. I've tried every resolution to internal memory or SD cards. I never has this issue in my Note 3 with JasmineROM 1.9. In fact, I recorded about 2hr worth of video on the Note 3 a couple weeks ago and there is no audio popping.
A person with a different Samsung posted the same thing on a video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaEngbZ0Vkw
I have also tested the Voice Recorder and it records with these audio pops as well.
Though there are no audio pops on voice calls.
A search shows this has been an issue with Samsung for a few years but hard to diagnose.
Here is a quick video I posted where you can hear the audio popping.

I have tried a few ROMs on my Note 4 DE, including stock OG5, JasmineROM, and MOROM, yet they all record video with these audio popping sounds. So at this point I'm thinking it is most likely a hardware issue. Maybe the next step would be to contact Samsung to see if it would be covered under warranty.
Has anyone else had this issue on their Note 4?
Another one.

Video plays in slow motion and the audio is robotic and distorted

I have a samsung note 3 neo and all of a sudden the video and audio started to act up weird. The video plays in slow motion and audio is robotic and distorted. (there is a video on youtube i have uploded with this title reproducing the issue: Video plays in slow motion and the audio is robotic and distorted)... I thought this could be a software issue so i reset OS but no luck. Then installed the cosmic OS but yet i face the same issue.
What do you think? Any help is appreciated
