I am with Verizon and my friend got at&t note 4 since you can't root with Verizon.
Anyone get it to work?

I stumble upon this phone a couple months ago and I loved the specs so much, that last week I purchased a unlocked AT&T phone and put it on the Metro PCS network. Now to my question, has any one out there rooted there AT&T G Pro after it was on the Metro network and did it cause any problems?
Rooting wouldn't cause the phone to not work on a carrier.

Thanks, but now I have another question. Which is the best root for the AT&T version of this phone.

I spent a lot of time searching, but I couldn't come up with the answer... if I took my VZW note 4 over to t-mobile, can i use their firmware and root my phone?
Or do you have to get your Note 4 directly from T-Mobile? (T-Mobile service is quite good in my area).
Thought I would find the answer easily with a google and xda search, but I'm either clue-impaired or it hasn't been addressed (hard to imagine)... or, it's so obvious I'm missing it. Thanks for any help on this.
Cheers!

No. Your phone's bootloader is locked.
I haven't looked but search xda for tmobile note 4 section. Look if it has root. Not sure but I want to say yes.

Thanks, Emtee... another reason I'm done with verizon and samsung.... sigh. T-mobile is rootable.
Yeah doesn't make sense to me why we can't root. I mean they can't charge for tethering anymore. So root for Hotspot is moot. If I pay 700 bucks for something I should be able to do what I want with it.
If Verizon wasn't the only carrier worth a crap in my area....
At least there is this:

You can disable and hide the bloatware you don't want on the phone.
Note 4
Hi all you probably already know about the locked bootloader im sure. Was hoping if anyone had any information on how trades work with at&t. I see there is the n910c which has the unlocked bootloader. Does anyone know any ways to trade in my att note 4 for a refurbisheed n910c? I don't think is n910c is sold by att but I see it is GSM. Sorry if this similar to someone elses question or contains any bad information.
I just received an i467 I picked up on eBay yesterday. I have already rooted.
Does anyone have a list of apps I can freeze without screwing up anything???
I guess the answer is no!!!
Please forgive me if this question has been asked and answered before. I was able to do this years ago with an older phone but I haven't been keeping up with the tech for several years.
I have a Sprint Note 10+ on contract. I want to switch my service to Verizon as the coverage is much better in my area. Sprint will not unlock my phone until it is paid off. Would it be possible to root the phone and flash a Verizon firmware or software to it and have it work with the new Verizon sim cards that would come in the mail in a few days? Also, if it isn't too much to ask, if it is possible could you please link the software that would be required to do this? Last phone I tried to flash was over 6 years ago and I bricked the phone.
Thank you in advance,

hi no you cant because vzw is cdma and cant flash because yours is n976v and sprint variant is n975u

Flashing a Verizon ROM won't work because the phone itself is locked. Verizon will pay up to $650 to pay off your phone from another carrier. You will have to pay the balance.

Verizon shuddered its CDMA network. It's no longer activating CDMA phones for new lines.
