[Q] NFC Question For Making NonNFC Phone NFC - NFC Hacking

So I have a phone. It does not have an NFC reader. However I found out they now have NFC Sim cards. It's a dule sim phone.
I only use 1 Sim. Can I buy a cheap NFC Sim, and use that without activating the sim? I already have a plan with my other sim. Is that doable?
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm founding the same. I have bought Moto g and I'm founding to add qi wireless charger and nfc. All other devices has nfc and I use a lot of it to transfer contents like www links, photos, files and others. I don't use to pay.
I was looking micro SD with nfc capable, I'm founding a nfc sim. But I don't know if I'll can data transfer between devices.
Any one can help my?
Thanks a lot.

Dual Sim in Artemis - any experience?

Hi,
I just got a good offer from my broadband provider to get an extra sim where I can make landline calls for free, but calls to mobiles are then very expensive, so I want to use my old contract for mobile calls.
Anybody out there got any experience using a dual sim (I read it involves cutting ).
I also heard that you can get some kind of "super SIM" where you can copy 2 sims onto one? Does this really work?
Cheers

I have a dual SIM adapter. I use my 1&1 SIM card for free landline calls and have free minutes for my mobile calls from T-Mobile. I use an analog adapter from hot-wire-telekom.de - digital adapters can change between the SIM cards a little faster but consume more power, heard that it can be more than 30% in some cases. I didn't want to risk that, there are nice tools out there to assign that function to a hardware key, that way you are actually faster than digital dual SIM cards.
If you have a digital dual sim adapter you have to go to your sim toolkit menu to change between the cards, with the analog adapter you simply switch the gsm unit off and on again, it takes about 20 seconds until you have your signal again.
I did cut my card, actually broke my first card because I didn't pay enough attention. Hot wire telekom offers to cut your cards if you send them to their shop, I think that was for free or costs only a few Euros. I'd recommend that since cutting it was a little difficult. The card of a friend didn't work that well, sometimes it switched from on to the other by itself.
I'm very happy with my card and use Smaato Cost to tell me how much I spent. It's a program that tells you how much money you spent making phone calls, very nice program! Send me a PM if you need some information in German.
Copying two sim cards on one is only possible when you have a version 1 sim card (as far as I know) and you don't get one of these, they are veeeery old. I think if you have two sim cards that are older than 5 years you might be able to copy them on one card.
Hi Registerme,
thanx for sharing that info.
Sounds like the analogue dual card is the way to go - the cutting service sounds quite a good option.
Would however much prefer not to!
Forgot to mention - at work I have a TMobile "Twinbill SIM" - by entering 2 different pins the call costs are switched between Busuniess and Private (switchover working via SIM Tool Kit in the cell phone menu).
I was wondering how TMobile manages this.
Anybody out there any ideas?

This is actually a dual sim card with two phone numbers, see here: http://www.t-mobile.de/business/twinbill/0,10205,14411-_,00.html
They used to have analog cards but use digital cards now.

Which Dual Sim Adaptor to get

Hi Guys,
I'm looking forward to buy a dual sim adaptor which preferably dosen't require cutting of sim cards and is durable.....that leaves only one type of dual sim adaptor which makes copies out u'r SIM cards and puts it on single sim card like this 12 in 1 Sim Adaptor
However, this type of adaptor isn't compatible with some sim cards, So is there anyway of knowing before hand weather my sim card's can be copied or not?
Let me know, if anyone has tried this kind of adaptor..
Regards,

[Q] Help needed with Sim Card Adapter

I recently switched over to AT&T and picked up a Moto X and a Nexus 5. After getting all of my accessories in the mail for the N5 I decided to switch over to it to use it as my daily phone. But after removing the sim card tray for the Moto X I realized its a nano sim. I was going to buy a sim card adapter to switch between the two until I seen all the bad reviews. So, should I just take a lose and just spend $25 on a new sim, or does anyone know of a sim apapter that will not mess up my N5?

[Q]Does Nexus 5X NFC support SWP SIM card?

Some NFC payment systems rely on using a Secure Element on the SIM card.
Does anyone know how to activate it ?

No it does not support it. Or at least I have a TIM (italy) NFC sim, and with their wallet app I can see that "the phone does not provide NFC autentication for the SIM card". Fair enough this protocol won't be around for much, since all main nfc wallet (android pay, ecc.) are based on HCE.

Dual-Sim G4 questions

So I decided to buy a G4.
I know about the boot loop issue, but LG fixes it if it happens, so that's okay.
My Samsung devices all had issues (multiple), so yeah.
Anyway, I have a couple of simple questions regarding the dual sim edition.
They cost the same in the country, so I figured I might buy the dual sim one...but...
- Does it have the same, latest (MM) firmware?
- Do you get any annoying notification if you just use ONE sim card in it?
- Does it still have a microSD card slot besides the dual SIM slot?
The thing is, MNOs are becoming popular in my country.
So you can finally get cheap mobile internet, but on a separate sim card, of course.
This way I could just toss in a second SIM once I get a good deal, and hook my mobile data on that.
Thank you guys!
