This is weird, other video add-on are working ok but Icefilms is not connecting. All 3 of my AFTV are doing this and they were all working yesterday. I tried installing and re-installing XBMC 13.2, SPMC 13.4, Kodi 14.1 but nothing works, the weirdest thing is XBMC 13.2 on my Win8 machine can access Icefilms no problem. I am at a lost.
It is because the url has changed. You have to go to the addon settings and manually change the url to ipv6.icefilms.info, just add the ipv6 to the existing url and everything will work after that. You could have found the answer within seconds if you just googled it, cause their are thousands of videos on the fix, cause when something breaks in XBMC everyone feels like they have to make a video showing people how to fix it. You also could have did what anyone should do when they have a problem with an addon, go to the wesite where the developer has released their addon and there will be a thread for that addon that always has the fixes posted. That is what i do not understand, everyone always praises these devs, but they never listen to the devs, cause the devs always tell people if they have problems to comeback to the thread for a solution, but nobody ever goes back and instead they post threads elsewhere looking for fixes. People should stop praising devs if they aren't actually gonna listin to them and take advice from them. Not trying to be rude, but icefilms wasn't even released on this site and it seems crazy that you would ask for help here when you could have just went to the site where the addon was released and found your answer. Haven't you ever noticed that devs always say not to post their work elsewhere? They want you to come to them to find a solution and get updates etc, cause it makes everything easier if everything is in one place. Like I said, not being rude just giving advice. If an XBMC addon is broke its always best to find the release thread for it, cause all your answer will be located there.
Searching or Google is the first thing I did. Yes, I did found and tried changing the URL to http://ipv6.icefilms.info/ before I make a post on here. Changing the URL did NOT solve the problem.
I don't think it is crazy for me to go here for help because Icefilms works on XBMC for my Win8 machine and STOP working in all 3 of my AFTV which I didn't make any changes to
Thanks for your replay anyway.
EDIT: Ok, never mind. I figured it out. Icefilms was blocking one of my VPN connection.

Hello everyone, I'm a total noob here, and I have been searching my butt off trying to figure out how to try and get the music beta app working on the TP2. I am running froyo7. It seems that in my build. android market thinks that my phone is a Mid-Tex Cellular, when I am actually a sprint customer. Now before anyone say "search" I have I have been reading up how to edit my build.prop, watching youtube videos on how to as well, with a lot of google searching on the side. I am getting most of my info for different phones and don't know if these codes will work.
In my search the closest that I found was this quote from this thread...
"When using this ROM my device shows up as "Mid-Tex Cellular" on the Android Market.
Is there any way to change this?
..............................................
change the line in build.prop that is closest to this to this:
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-google-us
it should have come as this out of the box
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-sprint-us"
When I look in my build.prop I can't find anything close to this?
A little help for a worthless noob would be awesome.
Well first I would simply try adding that line to your build.prop. Just because it isn't there doesn't mean you can't add it .
As for Google Music, I am a member of the service but haven't messed with the app on my phone. Only listened to it on the webUI. I guess I need to try on my phone .
Edit - did you just try installing the apk directly? Seems like a much easier solution...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1072655
Edit 2 - just installed that apk myself, works fine. For some odd reason I can only get it to show local music tho, I don't see any of my music that's "in the cloud"... hum.

hey,
check whether your google account sync in settings is syncing to google music. also for me, I had to restart my phone to get the app to realize that my google account had music beta.

I checked the sync settings, that was my first thought.
I'm leaning towards your second suggestion, since I haven't rebooted since installing it. Thanks for the suggestions.
I also had to do some crafty work clearing caches and such to get it to pick up my online account

i went into the application manager too in setting and cleared the data for the application too.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I searched like crazy for music beta, and never came up with that thread... I am going to try it as soon as my lazy phone decides it wants to work. LOL
This is what I am talking about with the Mid-Tex Cellular, I have gone to the web site, the market etc... and it wont allow it to install. So this is why I was thinking about changing the build.prop, but I don't exactly know how to... I have searched, but I don't know if I can just add some random code from my first post and have it work?

Fine! Be that way... Now I don't need to because it seems to be working perfectly. The sound out of the headphones is great, but the external speaker is really quiet. All in all, God I love android! Thank you everyone.
I have seen videos on the internet of people playing minecraft on the ouya. I loaded it from my gs2 and the controlls dont work at all. What can I do to make it work???
Why is this forum dead .. ;/

Apparently everyone is either content with what they have (including me) and don't bother adding too much stuff, or they have given up on the OUYA and they curse the day
Anyway, to stay on the topic, I tried a handful of stuff and apps but I could never get it to work. The new Amazon Fire TV has a special edition of the Minecraft that works with only their controller. So either someone finds a way to rip it off and port it to the OUYA, or you have to wait for the coming 1.0 version which the developers said it would probably have controller support.
I know this doesn't help, but even all the people asked in the youtube video comments but the guy never answered. I also seen a post on Google+ saying he is playing Minecraft on Hisense Google TV but again, he never answered my question...
Hi, title, says it all. I went to the jocala website and had a dedicated techie friend come over after encountering this problem. The adbFire 1.15 will not let me download. No, please don't get angry when I rant a bit. I repeat this is not downloadable. The site they send you to is ridiculous. I can't believe that this jocala developer is legit, seems all too spammage for me. If you have a different site, to download this app to help install Kodi on a Fire Stick, then please redirect. I rarely get upset about computer stuff but this site is linked all over the Net and is unusable, thanks for listening, hope you can assist me, DR
Jocala is a major player here, and totally respected. Why don't you write him directly? jocala @jocala.com
What'd you mean spam? Specifically? I can vouch it works and the program is top notch. The dev has a thread right here aftv/themes and apps. I can pretty much guarantee he'll respond to your issues but this isn't how to go about it here.
My theory is your antivirus maybe giving a false positive, which happens a lot. Or something's causing your browser to be redirected elsewhere but I'm not the one to diagnose. All I can say is I've downloaded each update from June to just the other day. And each one has been better than the last. Seriously. It's a great app and the dev is good at providing support.

Thanks for the kind words. The OP did email me and we went back and forth a bit trying to find out what his issue was. Before reading this post my final email was:
I'm sorry you are having an issue downloading.
Since Christmas Eve, the current adbFire 1.15 release has been downloaded more than 14,000 times for Windows, 5000+ for Mac, 400+ for Linux. I just tested the links, and they are working fine.
I don't know what the source of your problem is. If it continues, you may want to contact support at Android File Host.

The OP just emailed back that the download works from his Android tablet, but not from his Vista/IE9 rig. I guess that lets the AFH folks off the hook...
Happy New Year everybody! Thanks to all you downloaders!
i tried it trough the link and it's working. Downloaded it once again.
so maybe usererror or browser is blocking download?
All i can say, file is online.
greetings
Simple (and maybe stupid) question...
I was looking for a rom, and google show me this:
http://www.lollipop-roms.org/mp3-0/acer-iconia-tab-a100-3841.html
Just for curiosity tried to download it, but fail...
Anyway... i donĀ“t believe about that page... but can someone check about it?
Thanks!!!
Since the second line is "I rewrite this tutorial from forum.xda-developers.com" and it is clearly NOT from here, I think you can assume the rest has very little truth to it.
It's definitely fake. The text looks like it's been generated with some bot and just filled in or then copied from another, similar text, and then they just added those scam links. You need to complete a survey which means paying money for like an SMS service or app download that will charge you a lot of money. A friend fell to one of those, and he got 3x45 euros bill from his operator for trying to download a pirated APK through a similar site. He got to the download all right after entering his phone number, but the apk he got was malware that installed ad downloaders and tracking apps on his phone, added shortcuts and sent his logs somewhere to China (Southern China if I remember correctly).
So yeah, anything that looks fishy and is not from a popular, widely-used site like XDA forums or the other similar forums, is mostly always a fake in this case too...
I was also looking for a Lollipop ROM for the Iconia and stumbled upon this, noticed only now how old the thread is, but whatever

Hi there, I still have a A100, very robust tablet, it never gave me any headaches... I recently installed a A500 Omniron 5.1.1 and it booted, went to the initial android setup screen and stucked there because the touchscreen driver does not work on A100... but all buttons, wifi, usb seems to work well, only the touchscreen is the matter... does anyone here knows how to solve that ? I read some threads about compiling the kernel, but if that is the solution I would need tips or help... at least there is yes a light in the end of the tunnel to make A100 work with Lollipop 5.1.1....

Yeah it's a good little device!
Impressive that they work! Bluetooth too?
The last time I compiled the kernel was for Android 2.3.7 and that was ages ago But you could maybe try to find the touch driver location on the device through ADB shell (exploring it's contents) or the downloaded package. Then after that's found, you could try pushing the working drivers from an earlier version, like 4.3, through ADB also and then reboot the device to see if it does anything! I can't for my life remember how they're supposed to be put there the real way but this is just a quick thought..lol.. anyone else have ideas?
I just bought a one time subscription to try out OnTapp, since I found the UI to be nice and clean and my parents will understand how to use it, but I can't get anything to actually play. I understand that OnTapp is simply a TV Guide that links to addons, but which one's will work? I don't mind paying for it either. I've been googling for the past 2 days without success and would greatly appreciate it if anyone knew how to get OnTapp to work or if you know any paid .m3u servers for the Kodi's iptv, that would be great as well. Also, are there any specific Kodi websites that might have guides/forums/support for the FireTv?
Thanks in advance!
