Hello all, I have a question. I would like your opinion. I want to return my G3 to LG Official stock with OTA working etc, just like it was when I first bought it. So I'm looking to flash the proper and right kdz, but I came across a "problem" .
I have the International 16GB D855. The sticker on the box says that it's " 6SW(Switzerland) " , but when I'm searching on http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php the firmware based on my IMEI, it says that the firmware is 6ES ( Spain ).
So what firmware am I supposed to really flash? Is the IMEI one the right one since it searches the phone on LG's Servers?
But then again , the 6SW version hasn't gotten Lollipop update yet, the latest 6SW firmware is version V10L, while my G3 got the Lollipop OTA version V20F before I downgraded it, root and flashed it custom Firmware.
What is your opinion? Sorry for the long post and thank you very much.

You can flash any compatible EURO rom on to your device, like the latest German D855 rom ending with 20H. Link https://mega.co.nz/#!AMoUjCQY!llgH-KlTB4J0paynnnGpIq0ANCAEtXjmUvpx8G8ApQM and flash with LG Flash Tool.
BTW: did you backup your EFS folder?

I am from Vietnam but recently, I've just flased the rom stock v50020B US version because I really love QVoice (VN version doesnt has QVoice). The problem is after flashing v50020B, I cant receive any notification about updating to v50020D which has knock code. I connected my device to LG Support tool and it said that I can update the new version but I worry that if I use LG Support tool to update my device, it will change my device to rom VN version. So I assume that the best way is updating my device through OTA, but the device said that it has latest version. Please help me. Sorry for my bad English
Hi all,
I have a G3 D855 16gb; european version. I flashed my Phone with the new v10L firmware but by accident I took the global version instead of the v10l-EUR-xx. But even using Flash Tool 2014 trying to get it back to stock firmware, no matter what I try, any firmware will say it's global now on my Phone. I'm sure I downloaded the EUR-KDZ file. Anyone has any idea how this is possible, or how to fix this?
Thank you in advance!
Not sure it matters. I thought it based version suffix on imei number. I flashed international/european but it says SEA.
I really hope so indeed! I just can't find a way to fix it...
I intend to flash 4.4 on my d855 which is currently running 5.0.
This site (csmg.lgmobile. com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=35xxxxxxxxxxxx) gives me the following info when I search on my IMEI:
<model>LGD855</model>
<sw_version>D85520H_00</sw_version>
D855 is the model number, right. The 20H part, I'm not so sure of. The rom I assume I am going to flash is named Northern Europe D85510A_00.kdz. The same, but with 10A at the end.
So I'm wondering. Does 20H at the end of the KDZ file simply mean Android 5.0, and 10A means Android 4.4? I need to know so that I don't flash an incorrect rom. If it means what I think it means, it is the right ROM. Right?

Thanks! :good:

D855 is model number.
10/20 means 4.4.2/5.0 respectively.
A-Z letter at the end of firmware version means subversion. 10A is first 4,4,2 firmware, 20A is first LL firmware and so on.

Thank you. Do you have any idea where to acquire this info on the net about the layout of Android software model names? Have googled without any success.

Nowhere. Each OEM names them in his own unique way.
Hi all
Ide like some advice..
I bought my G£ (D855 International) in Carphone Warehouse, which means its factory unlocked. I updated it to the latest 5.0 (20h) OTA.
When I go into About Phone > Software. Ive noticed that my G3 is running V20h-EUR-XX, yet Ive noticed that, in the stock rom thread on here there is a 20h UK rom.
Im just curious to know why my G3 installed the EUR rom not the UK, also Ive noticed that the word "alleh G" isnt anywhere on my device. I realise there are different models and patents change depending on countries and territories, but could i install the UK rom or should i stick to EUR.
Any Info would be nice.. Thanks
EUR and UK rom are the same. Even if you flashed the v20h UK rom it will still say v20H-EUR-XX
Alleh G is the Korean edition with the 3GB ram

Many Thanks for solving my curiosity ... Interesting. about UK rom, So I take it then the 20h UK, matches the EUR device...
I remember from my Sammy days and ODIN that In situations like this, Its usually the Radios that differ.. Oh well, saved me a flash and restore..
Radios only differ between continents and even then if you flashed a firmware from somewhere say Taiwan it would still work normally on your phone. But as to the stabling of it I don't know. I flashed a Taiwan firmware on my Australian G3 and I found that performance and battery life were significantly worse

Hi all,
I have an H815 USA version, which I got off eBay but expect to be from the USA G4 trial program, and I have a few related questions:
What is the most recent .kdz file that anyone has tested with this phone?
Is the most recent (6.0 if applicable) supported stock ROM the best, or does it have any significant known bugs, for example failing to send/receive SMS messages?
Does putting on another stock ROM permit any sort of unlocks that were not previously possible with the USA version firmware?
The phone came with v10b-EUR firmware, and would not update itself to anything more recent. However, I downloaded a Polish .kdz from here (H81510E_00.kdz): http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G4/H815/ and successfully installed it using the LG Uploader (2014 version) tool today.
This appears to have fixed all but one stagefright vulnerability. I am interesting in upgrading to one of the Marshmallow versions there, if it is advisable by the crowd here.
Based on a screenshot from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/diy-h815-usa-variant-hardware-boot-loop-t3311623), it looks like user rogconnect may have a 6.0 ROM installed on this version of the phone, but I am worried about bricking my device or upgrading to a firmware that is buggy and not being able to revert.
