HTCustom Broke my Today Screen

I installed HTCustom primarily to remove the SMS notification, but I've found it's broken other things. The title bar of the home screen can no longer display the battery information. When I tell it to show the battery information, I just get a blank section of the bar that cuts off half the reception logo, and completely hides the volume icon.
Uninstalling doesn't resolve the issue.
I can set it to display the time or date, and it seems to work, but that's useless, because I already have that information on the screen. The battery info is much more important.
Could any tell me what I need to do to either completely remove the application and remove any changes it made, or at least how to get my battery to display on the title bar correctly?
I'm running Black 4.0, and I don't really want to have to just reflash my PDA to fix this problem.
Kinda annoyed :/
Thanks for any help in advance

Is there a reason why you didn't post in the 'HTCustom Thread'?
Cause I didn't see it
Nevermind, I had an older version installed. Seems to be working okay now

[Q] My Pictures screensaver not working?

hi
hope this is the right place for this - apologies if not and just ignore me...
I have an HTC HD mini - love it mostly.... I like to use the My Pictures screensaver option - and have had it working on this phone at times ("Play as screen saver when connected to a computer for 2 mins")...
however from time to time (including now for some time) it stops working. Or rather it looks like it kicks in "Pictures and Videos" flashes up briefly in the status bar, but then nothing happens :-S
The option is (I think) OK in registry settings.... not sure what else to check - there are pictures in the folder....
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Pictures]
"ScreenSaverPosition"=dword:00000000
"LastLocation"=dword:00000001
"StorageCardPath"="\Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA"
"ScreenSaverEnabled"=hex:01
"RotateRight"=hex:01
"LocalPath"="\My Documents\My Pictures"
"SlideShowLandscapeMode"=hex:00
any thoughts? hardly urgent, but I do like this feature and would like it back!
thanks in advance

[Q] Home Screen Problem

If you look at the upper right hand corner of my home screen, you will see that the information box which shows time, battery percentage is fuzzy and shows overlapping different information.
That information box works perfectly when it appears on all other screens.
How can I correct it on the home screen?
Does it happen in portrait and landxcape?
Are you rooted, maybe something you installed
Try a factory reset
Interesting comment.
I discovered it only appears in landscape.
No, I have not rooted the tablet.
You've accidentally taken a screen shot and then set that as the background.... go and check your wallpaper settings.
Been there, done that, albeit on my s4!

Bottom part of screen non responsive

First things first: This is a crosspost from https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-Z-Play/Bottom-part-of-screen-non-responsive/td-p/3630276. Hope this is ok.
Hello,
I have a problem with the touch screen. I noticed that pressing the home button isn't recognized every time. Sometimes nothing happens (no vibration, nothing).
So I investigated a little: I turned on the developer settings, enabled the "Pointer location" option so that the OS shows the path where I drag my finger.
I then dragged my finger from the bottom left/right of the screen into the bottom center in different arches. You can see the result in the attached file on the left side. (I combined all screenshots into one image)
What I came to find is that apparently there's a dead zone in the middle of the bottom of the screen!!! I have marked this area approximately with a red ellipse on the right side of the attached screenshot.
What can I do to remedy this issue? Do I have to RMA my phone? Can I solve this with a screen recalibration myself?
Please advise,
Best regards,
Chris

EDIT:
Found the culprit! "Fingerprint Quick Action" (com.ztc1997.fingerprint2sleep) was responsible for this behaviour! That's sad, because I liked the additional home button via fingerprint reader...
I also use the app and experience the symptom. Thanks for the info, good to know at least what is causing the problem...
