Is it possible to be able to tether without root on a Verizon Note 4?
I'm still on the unlimited plan and do not want to lose it.
Thanks
I use fox fi on Verizon. Works with no issues. I have the paid version.
I am also on unlimited data.

Have you figured out how to bypass the lock screen?

You have to enter the incorrect PIN 40 times. There will be a 30 second timeout after 5 tries. On the 41st time, enter correct PIN. Then when you go into lock screen options, all options will be available.

Do you guys mind me asking what lock screen?
Thinking about jumping to a Verizon Note 4, just checking if tethering without root is possible (still have my unlimited plan).
Thx
Tether is possible using foxfi app from the play store.(you'll need the paid version) You'll have to enable your lockscreen either by pin or fingerprint unlock method because foxfi adds a trusted credential to the phone. The app dislock will get around having to enter the lockscreen pin everytime you wanna use your phone.

I use Wear Unlock with my G-Watch. Only put a pin in if my watch is disconnected.

So I got my Note 4 on the 22nd and I'm loving it so far.
I went to try Google Wallet this morning and I could NOT get the tap and pay to work even though the app and phone said it was all set as my default.
ISIS - I don't yet have a card type that they will allow to add in the app.
Curious to see what results you all get? Thanks.
Happy Note 4 days!
No, but it will never work for me. The type of account I am on does not permit it to work.

I actually installed gw and right on the main screen tap and pay. I went into it and it still had my cards from a year ago just selected default. Also was one more thing I saw in settings to select which as default.

Awesome! Thank you that did the trick! Success, this morning breakfast!
Google Wallet working on Verizon ! Whoot!
So I finally decided to download foxfi again on my note 4 recently. The USB tethering option works great but Im unable to use the wifi option due to the fact that att is disabling the wifi. Ive hit the home key to see if that works but that isnt working. Ive checked to see if the network would come up on my computer but it did not show. Please help me, Im without out internet in my house because we're in the process of moving but I still have work to do!
You should be able to just use the WiFi Hotspot on your phone via setting --> hotspot unless you're still on unlimited data. If you're on unlimited then you have to be rooted if I'm correct.
Hope it helps.
Does anyone know what causes this? Ad detection apps don't work on my phone ("...has stopped working.") and it doesn't pop up from notification bar so I can't long-press to find source. It pops up from the bottom of the screen every time an app from Play Store installs or updates....ugh!!!!

Never seen that. Sorry.
I found this while playing around with different hidden things on my note 4 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is and if anyone knows if it's ok to change any of the settings in this menu.

I can't see a photo if you appended one.
After looking into this after debloating and now that I have an unlocked bootloader (so happy now), it seems to be a test to enable WiFi calling with verizon and/or samsung. It should be harmless. I froze it in Titanium Backup since they have announced WiFi calling coming to verizon.....soon.

Hi.
I accidently bought a s7 edge verizon and now I can't work anymore. Its draining my battery so fast that it get to hot to finish. I have tried to unlock the bootloader so I can root it, (both with wondershare dr. Fone and with odin) but it seems impossible.
How can I make my phone my own phone?

Follow this post carefully step by step, do not skip anything and you should have a fully rooted S7edge.
Keep in mind that there's no bootloader unlock available for US Samsungs, therefore no TWRP custom recovery, otherwise it works just fine.

I'm sorry I'm not sure I've ever heard of that method. I searched but couldn't really find anything concrete as to what would work.

So based on what I'm seeing is I'm gonna need to install a combination file for me to be able to unlock the bootlaloader. I've been searching for one that will work but haven't found one. Any help? Thanks.

well that's simple , If you just buyed the device there is a 7 days waiting time on it, you can bypass it by going to settings ,disable Developer settings, going to date and hours, and change the date to 10 days later, check for device update then restart the device, change the date back to the correct date, now enable Developer settings and then OEM Unlock option should be available.
Hey there everyone,
I have snooping wife issues.
I need to know if there is anyway I can see if my wife has opened my phone. It's Samsung A70 running Android 10.
Are there any logs that show what time my phone was opened.
She probably knows my password.
Just wanted to know.
Thanks.
Help and cool comments are highly appreciated please.

Lol. Root cause analysis provided to prevent future failures...
This is what I did.
I found out my "sleep timings" from Samsung Health located in setup and noted my sleep time from there.
Then I collated it with "Samsung Digital Well-being" to see if any of the messaging app was operated while I was sleeping.
It was not.
So I'm going to change the login pin and password.
Let the kids grow.
I'll be living alone when they move out.
Maybe try using the goodlock module "nice catch" by samsung, it stores data about notifications by apps and sudden wakeup of phone.
If goodlock is not available in your country try other alternatives like nicelock from playstore or any other app that provides same functionality.
