Or use a 3rd party app.
AFAIK, there is only Spirit.
But I'm not sure if anyone has it running on the OneV.

Wonderful.
I just bought an Ebay Koodo OneV I expect to receive next week.
So I should be able to better support just about any ROM on the OneV soon.
Does anyone have a link to the FM Radio apk?
I forgot to back that up in titanium and I can't find it on the google play store.
Thanks,

I flashed the CM 10.2 ROM and so far so good, but I don't have the Quick Remote anymore. If someone has the APK I'd be really grateful (I searched the forum already but couldn't find it). Can I just install it with Easy Installer or do I have to push it to the system folder and rewrite permissions?
If its anything like the S4 or HTC One, you'll have to find a third party app...

which model are you using? I know that you can flash quick remote on the e980. You can find the zip under the accessories folder in madmack's cm10.2 download directory.

I have the e980....I'm DL'ing the zip file you mentioned and I'm going to give it a shot.
Edit: It works great. Thanks for pointing it out to me! I decided to flash the CM 10.2 ROM to see if it would help with a lag/freezing issue I was experiencing, and so far, no lag.

did you flash in recovery?
wounder
can you tell me if u have the option to learn new remotes like the G2 Qremote app?
i wounder if you could flash the g2 Qremote to have this amazing feature....
I noticed the QRemote app was outdated, missing several manufacturers... so I just updated the cwm file with the files from the latest international firmware.
https://mega.co.nz/#!YkJyQKIY!bx9qCiv_7wpGt2Kt9tDR-A9DIqg7h2LbQTzEdrbIqLE
Working great!*
*Actually working not so great. Only got it to work once and then it magically failed to appear when installed to data/app (no icon in launcher) amd when moved to system\app the remote list comes up empty. Need some help on this

Any chance to get this working on the G2 (D800)? I've tried flashing these on CM and other AOSP-based roms on the G2, and the app shows up in the app drawer, but unfortunately it doesn't work...

Beats me... i was only able to make this zip work on the official CM 10.2 rom... :-x Making the G Pro qremote work on the G2 would involve hacking for sure...

I should re-state my initial comment ... I want to get the G2 QRemote working on CM 10.2 or other AOSP-based roms on the G2. Porting this specific remote would be a nightmare, I'm sure. Over in the G2 forums, people are saying that the QRemote can't be ported, but this thread shows that it can. I just need whoever did this for the Optimus G Pro to do it for the G2, using the G2's remote, not necessarily porting this one over

I flashed this on CM 10.2 and I do not find the q remote app anywhere.
Any ideas?
Edit: Flashed the new app first and nothing happened. No QuickRemote app.
Flashed the old one, and the app is there and working, so I'm not sure whats broken about the new zip, but it's not flashing correctly.

That happened to me also. Forgot to mention, but I got it to work on the official CM 10.2 at the 1st try (i flashed the older zip first) but afterwards on other roms it stopped working. Noticed that if i moved the apks to system\app the qremote app would appear again but the list of remotes would come empty (?).
I really miss the latest qremote. I got a bunch of electronics that fail to feature on the original qremote zip... :/
does the Qremote APK works with the feature to Learn other Remotes?

Check this for cm based firmware for learning functions

Hopefully this will work for learning function.
Only for cm ROM.

Hi all, i have a question, it's any way to have the FM Radio on Paranoid Android Roms?
I want to install the last of this rom, but one of the things because i've bought this phone is the FM Radio.
Tx for any reply, good evening to everyone
And why do you ask it here?ask in the rom thread.in fact it's kernel related. And since there is no radio on cm kernel, there is none on PA.

I ask here because I don't know where to ask.
Now that I know I'll ask in official Rom thread.
I've asked here because I think someone can port the LG fm radio to that Rom.
Easily.
There are more important things than radio. But feel free to try it yourself.you only need to patch a kernel

for me radio fm is really important, however i've bought a nexus 4, but i'm not a programmer, idon't know how to port the fm radio so i ask
If you want radio, stay on stock or use a custom rom based on lg . We have 2 : savvy rom and epsilon.
I would try installing SpiritFm and seeing first if it works out of the box or not.... if not then it will be the kernel that needs to be compatible
Sure i'll stay on stock based rom for now, no problem, my is only a question.
If you'll try spirit fm can tell me if works, tx.

it doesnt work for me because I have a E-973.... but I know for E975 there has been reports of it working... you just gotta use it to know because in some its grounded and some it works fine
Has anyone experienced this, I have FM Radio in my LGOG, it opens, scans, etc., but it has no sound! Headset and speaker wise.
I can try it in a stock Rom to?

Does it happen to be related to F180k to E975 conversion?
Guys,e 975 has fm radio, which works just fine. But only on stock. On custom roms based on cm/aosp/aokp/etc it will not work. Don't ask me why,ask the devs.
Spirit ul will give a demigod kernel crash. I repeat, the kernel must be patched to enable fm radio.
Sometimes i don't understand some of you. You say you need some stock deature(qslide, radio) but the first thing you do is to flash a custom rom which don't have these functions, then you start asking for them. What should we think about this?

What about in my case? I use Epsilon, which is based on stock, what seems to be the cause of no sound? Is it because of it being F180K then being converted to E975?
I only make a question because I like to try paranoid android Rom but if it's not possible use fm radio on that I''ll stay on stock,no problem.
Mine was only a simple question.
Inviato dal mio LG-E975 con Tapatalk 2
If f180 has fm radio,ot shoukd work. But if this feature is missing,of course you won't get it by flashing different software. It's hardware.

Not sure if the asus app will work on CM, you could try this one thats made for AOSP roms on phones that have a radio receiver
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mikersmicros.fm_unlock
Theres a free version that may be worth trying first.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/spirit-fm/app-spirit2-free-source-real-fm-radio-t2951455
You can try the one that I have on Google Drive.
It might work, might not.
The file flashes both the Asus FM Radio app, and the service app that allows it to run.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2OJIWJ3yAeBMVFCRnhXVDd4alE
Spirit FM won't work on our phone yet (Spirit1 never will, Spirit 2 may down the road if the developer can add support for whatever radio chip our phones use
thanks for the response guys, i tried the stock asus radio and its service app but unable to install. so i guess we have to wait then..

I'd appreciate if you don't do this again. Get yourself a zf2 before you make people waste more time.

I was just trying to help. Helping is not bad, but criticizing someone for being helpful is a whole different thing. How much time did you really waste by opening play store and seeing that the app is not compatible? And I'm waiting for the 5.1 update before buying a ZF2.

Yeah I don't think they work on CM, but if you want them for any reason, I keep the updated add-ons in the second post on my ROM thread.
The second post is HERE
I do kill the old links when I update the add-ons, so if you find links to them anywhere other than that post, they won't be alive for long. I update them on each new base.
Yes, I saw and tried it but as you said it won't work; from what I learnt because of missing kernel features. I'll try to understand why, since it seems the kernel should be compiled from Asus' sources in the AOSP rom I'm using...
Bumping this thread, does anyone have a working FM radio on non-stock rom?
I tried with the asus radio, it does not work
