Hello. I have this bluetooth headset from Jabra which i'm using at field work. Before htc m8 i had oneplus one phone. When i was using Jabra with oneplus i had no problems with noise in the background and people could hear me very well with no complains. Now i have switched to HTC M8 and with same Jabra headset people are very complaining about the noise and bad hearing. I had the same problem with HTC M7. I also have Lava XOLO and headset works withouth problems with that phone. So i guess i only have problems with HTC phones. Could someone explain me what is happening? I'd really like to use my headset with HTC with no noises in the background!
Thanks
I cant belive nobody has the same issues

Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone can help please?
I have an HTC Universal also known as the i-mate jasjar.
I recently have been looking for a headset that works well with this device so bought a Jabra jx10.
Unfortunately it appears this headset isn't totally compatible with the htc universal.
can anyone recommend a headset that has the following features?
As a visually impaired person I need a headset that makes a beep or plays a tone when the headset is turned on or off.
Some of the bt headsets out there only flash a light when turned on or off and this unfortunately doesn't work for me due to my visual impairment.
I was told the motorolla headsets work well with the universal but can't verify this.
Has anyone tried a Jabra jx10 with the htc universal?
I'm also after a small headset that clips on to your right or left hear and is easy to pair and setup.
also can anyone tell me if the headset supports the headset profile?
This option for some unknown reason doesn't appear after pairing up a headset with the universal even though the manual says it should.
I've been searching for months to find a headset that works well with the universal so any info or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I can recommend the logitech traveller. It is inexpensive, works well with the jasjar, makes a beep when turning on and a different one when turning off, has a good noise cancelling system.
I am however currently using the Nokia HS-12W, which is a stereo headset that hangs from your neck. It also makes a beep. I have to admit though, that at least for my ears the original earbuds did not work and I had a hard time understanding anything probably because the sound did not get into my inner ear. I "transplanted" the excellent Sennheiser CX300 earbuds and now I feel I have an outstanding headset that allows me to listen to music in an unexpected quality.
Hope this was helpful to you.
I've owned this BT earpiece with other HTC devices. Haven't had any problems with it. I also have used a 925 discovery with my EVO. Worked fine.
I was upgraded to 975 discovery by Best Buy. I always hear a buzzing noise in the background. Sometimes the audio quality gets scratchy or distorted. One time while using it, it sounded like I was on a horrible voip connection and i could hear only ever other word. I put it on speaker phone and the quality was perfect. I also own a Motorola S9-HD. I don't have any problems with it.
Does anyone else own this headset? I'm curious.... Are you having simliar issues?
I have this head set
make sure WiFi is OFF is you are using BT. I get what I think you are describing only when WiFi is on.
I have the same headset. I have the same symptoms when my body is in between the headset and phone. If there's a line of sight between them, the audio is perfect... I'm on my second 975 (lost the first one), and it still does it. I'm not sure if my phones bluetooth is messed up or the headset.
I have had this headset for a long time. I just switched to the EVO from the Iphone, and the 975 worked flawlessly on the Iphone. It SUCKS with the EVO so far. It will not stay paired. I can press the button to answer, but the no audio on the phone or BT. It will redial, but the audio comes out of the phone! Is there a better BT to use with the EVO?
Hi. Few weeks ago i bought the Motorola S305 and i never get the Stereo or "high quality" sound. My phone is Unrooted. I havent tried on another phone to check if the headphones are ok, but there are a lot of bad comments about the bluetooth on the Evo so i believe that maybe its the phone.

I get the same buzz too. It is like a real low hum. Only when I talk to certain people though.

Same Bluetooth same issue. When I don't hear the buzz I sometimes think the call has dropped. Had the same noise with my palm pre. Must be the Bluetooth.

Using a Bose BT Headset doesn't work on HTC one x.
The problem is that your communication partner will only hear you very silently
It seems there is a problem with the HTC background noise reduction.
Can somebody confirm this issue?
Use jabra stone 2 while walking around and jabta cruiser 2 while driving. Clear crisp sound all through

i concur i use the sony ericsson mw600and its crystal clear, the only thing thats different is you lose the background noise suppression that the phone has built in.
I'm using the Plantronics Voyager UC and Im having a issue with noise cancellation, not to mention it took several tries before I could even get it to connect.
I'm using the stock music player and I can hear a kind of hissing sound on the earphones. The earphones are in ear earphones from creative. This problem doesnt occur with the included earphones. Any ideas why it is happening?

maybe the earphone problem... try and plug the earphones in some other device and see if the problem persists

I use a pair of Panasonic in-earphones that I found in my room and I personally don't experience this problem. Try another pair perhaps?
I've been using the same earphones in my iPod without any problems. I tried another pair but still have the same problem. I guess it's got something to do with my device
we have the same problem i try 3 different earphones and i have the same problem (except the htc earphones)
As far as I know this is a common problem with the HTC One V. There has also been a detailed review about this on an indian(?) website I think.
My One V also makes these hissing sounds, regardless of the headphones I'm using, which is why I'm probably trying to get it replaced.
I don't know if this can be solved by some kind of firmware update, but at least the update from 1.56.401.1 to 1.56.401.2 did not help.
Funny Fact: The hissing changes when using the phone, so when I open some sort of menu or program, the hissing changes to a higher pitch while the processor is working more.
Mine is already at the latest version for my region. I too noticed the variation in the intensity of the sound. Maybe some kind of EM interference by the phone and the HTC earphones are shielded against it.

yeah, I also think it's some sort of shielding problem. In my case not even the HTC headphones work properly.
Does anyone think this can be solved by some software upgrade in the near future or should I definitely send my One V back?
I have the following problem with my HTC One M9:
Some days ago people that I called or people who called me on my HTC One M9 suddenly reported bad hissing sounds during our call to that extend that they could not understand me. I can't hear those sounds on my side. The hissing noise seems come and go arbitrarily.
I already checked different circumstances switching off WLAN/Bluetooth/LTE/UMTS/2G but the hissing sounds seem to remain. I even did a factory reset, nothing changed.
Then I tried to record some sound via the HTC Voice Recorder app and immediately could hear the hissing noise when playing the recorded sound. Using headphones with an external mic: no hissing sound was to could be heard when listening to the recording. I even used a vacuum cleaner to eliminate the possibility of any dirt behind the grill.
Is this a common problem with the HTC One M9? Has anyone had this problem before? Maybe its a hardware fault...
I have had that issue too but mainly while in the car. Maybe it's the mic going nuts because its one of those that eliminates background noise yet in the car its like a sound studio..
I dont know the cause either.
