Hi, i just installed the MaximusHD ron and i'm loving it. Some time ago i tried the viperone rom and i liked the way you could install themes. I'm wondering how and if it's possoble to install themes with this mod. I'm not looking for something that only changes the launche but the colors of the menus like settings. I dont like black font on white but the opposite, it's better for the eyes for me. So is it possible? Thanks!
What version of Maximum you installed?
The Lollipop one?
If yes there aren't many things for you yet.
Generally the Viper Rom has many more customizing than all the other sense based roms.
So you could install Eragon rom which has a built in dark theme in the aroma options, though you will miss some things from sense.
But if you install a kitkat rom, either ARHD,InsertCoin or Maximus like you did, you can try xposed with DarkSix module (search for it here in xda) and you will have a full dark experience.Even the widgets turn black!
Edit: Check how it looks with darksix module enabled. http://code.highspec.ru/Mikanoshi/dark-six/tree/master
ok so i should wait they release xposed for lollipop right?

Hello all, I've been flashing my roms for a long time now, and I'd like to think I'm not much of a newbie here, but there is one thing that is ruining me. I've asked on the thread where the rom has been posted, but no answers.
The Rom in question is AuraxTSense 7.6.1.
Is there a way to get rid of all transparency and just have it look like Sense? (not that I want sense. LauncherPro is my cup of tea) but the transparency on the keyboard, the transparent dock at the top and the dropdown menu looking grey isn't to my fancy. So is there a way to get rid of all transparency? I haven't tried flashing "original theme" from the first page yet, but I will do if it gets rid.
Running NexTSense v6.0 atm and would love to upgrade to the newest version as I do like what Neo is doing with his roms. They are stable and not so battery hungry (that'll be another day to find out the best radio).
Thanks,
Dan

flash the original theme will get rid of the expressobar, flash a diffrent taskbar will get rid of the transparant taskbar and notifiction pull down, and use adb to remove and push the original htc_ime.apk to get the old one back, you could also make your own htc_ime mod at www.gimpsta.com and use that instead
Well flashing the original theme will get rid of it and return theme to stock sense(not espresso), but he states it is for 5.0, so if he have changed anything else in the .apk's it flashes, it might change other things. but i would say go ahead, make a nandroid and try it. Alternatively you could pull the the following from 6.0 and add them to a zip file:
- framework-res.apk
- com.htc.resources.apk
- Rosie.apk
- HtcLockScreen.apk
Those are the one's included in the original theme zip. (edit: also many of the widgets are edited, if you want to change back, pull those from 6.0 as well)
Btw. i love the transparency, and i'm using the rom myself. Only thing missing is transparrent message area, when pulled down. For the keyboard. Just use the "HTC ime mod" which is also included
Cheers for your help guys. I'm gonna check both of them out. Making my own keyboard seems a great idea because I have big thumbs and always hit the . button and would like to get rid of the language. Would be fun times. I do like HTC_IME Mod too tbh, flawless!

Well, I'd just like to confirm that all this worked. I got the AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and NexTSense 6.0 and took all the files out of the 6.0, put them in to a zip file with all of AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and flashed it (after doing Nandroid just incase).
Only thing is the Keyboard didn't get rid of the transparency, but seeing as their is the Multitouch Keyboard, as well as HTC_IME Mod, it's fine!

now this rom has this new file overlay system, you might just be able to replace the htc_ime.apk with the stock one using a file explorer
I want to go stock firmware again, N7100 (not completely 100% stock, ill come to that later on) because i am missing something from most custom roms that i can't get thru google play or just by using google to search for it, it's a few samsung apps and features.
I am going for android 4.1.2, but i want some few things changed that i hope you wil help me with, i want a transparent topbar with a circle battery indicator and a new kernel (can i update my phone with a custom kernel thru kies?), i want a fast, stabel kernel with very god battery time.
Schould i just go for std kernel? I am gonna roote my phone, delete the apps, wallpappers and widgets i dont need, use, i think i will use rom cleaner to clean my rom and nova launcher, that i think it's a bit faster then apex. If any body Know of a good looking theme that can change all icons i would apriciate it.
I have tried, urban,hd,jelleybam, omega rom, revolution hd,ressurection remix, wanamlite, crash rom with scamus deign theme(current rom),hypernote and some few aosp rom based on android 4.2, so please don't recomend me som custom rom

Ok, install Phoenix ROM v4
Works good, but i first choose the top statusbar to 100% transparant and the Pull Down Notification backgrond to i think it was 50% and the top bare was gone so i had to flasfh the rom again. Still don't have a transparent top bare, it's ok when i pull it down, even if it's not transparent and i don seem to be able to adjust with simplistic control
I choose the standard kernel because the 2 other one was alpha versions.
I always thought my lockscreen where a bit greany, not hd, is it possible to get a hd lockscreen bagground?
hopefully someone can help with this.
I have used the Anastasia icons for years back to my HD2 and Dinik forst introduced them.
Currently the only way I can use them is with the Viper roms as I can install via Venom tweaks
It looks like they are moving on to the M9 now, I am not convienced by it so I'm planning to stay on my M7.
I have the Icons as an APK, my question is can I install them on other roms and if so how can I?
The other option is to upload the icons to HTCthemes, if I want to do this are the icon PNG stored somewhere on my M7 or would I have to create each on individually to do this?
Thanks

1. I think you have more chance of good answers, if you ask Viper Devs in the thread.
good luck btw.
2. if you create your own icon theme on themes.htc.com you can it download anytime if you want/need it.

If you're rooted and can use xposed framework there's an xposed module called Unicon. With this you can just pick the icon apk and it will theme the icons on any rom on the m7. Hope that helps.
So, purpose for this thread is to notify the users which mods are conflicting and causing problems for HTC 10. I hereby will share my scenario and others please also share what u guys observe.
I am using ICE stable 1.1.3 Rom, s-off, xposed framework version 85.
So the problems I faced with conflicting mods are:
1. Sudden reboots.
2. After rebooting, no ringtone during calls.
Working mods are:
1. Android N-ify v0.2.0
2. Gravitybox v6.1.3
3. Greenify (donation) v2.8.1
4. Native clipboard v4.6.4
5. OGxposed v1.0
6. Play store changelog v1.2.2
7. Xinstaller v5.0
8. Xnotifications
9. Direct APK install
10. Youtube adblock
11. Youtube background playback
Conflicting mods for me:
1. Sense toolbox v2.2.4
2. Amplify v3.3.4
P.S. these mods were conflicting for me probably because I was using Gravitybox which I didn't want to remove. With any other combination or using them single, u may not face any problem. So if u guys find any variation in behavior or whatever may be, please post and I will update my list accordingly. Thanks.

you don't need to use systemless, but its the one I went for since it don't break OTA or Android pay cause it can be disabled in the new app

Sense Toolbox is probably conflicting with Gravitybox because they both make changes in the system. I am using Sense Toolbox for the Center Clock, to add Blinkfeed shortcut so I can run Nova Prime as my main launcher then tap that to switch to Sense. I am also running N-ify, Greenify, XNotifications, and Amplify. Oh, also APK direct install (so I don't have to toggle it in Settings/security) as well as YouTube ad block and YouTube Background Playback...no issues here at all. Everything is set up systemless. There was one module that made Sense Toolbox lose center clock so I disabled it...but I can't remember which it was. I know that it wasn't Gravitybox though...I hadn't gotten around to trying that one yet. My guess is that Gravitybox is messing with Sense Toolbox and Amplify for you but that's a guess

Yes that's right. But I thought gravitybox was a must for everyone as it's kinda all-in-one mod. But here u r just doing fine without it. I will update my thread accordingly. Thanks for yr input.

No problem....however, if Gravitybox has things like center clock, you can use other modules to block notifications and icons in the status bar. Sometimes if I add one thing too many, it goes back to default so it's more of a "mostly works" I wasn't able to use Gravitybox on my M9 (as far as I know) but yeah, it's best to experiment and get other people to comment like you are. Pretty soon I will be on ViperROM though...that's the sickest custom ROM I have ever used. You can leave it Sense based or "De-Sense" it and the amount of customization it has is unmatched. I have used it on 5 different HTC models and it's incredible!
For those who are going to stay stock rooted with Xposed, you have lots to choose from and my battery has been incredible so no bad side effects from using it
Do you know any way to change Nougat Lock screen clock.
My device is rooted
You can install xposed installer then use Lock Screen clock mods [L_M] module, it works on nougat too,but the style of clocks are limited, here is my screenshot with this module.
Another way is with substratum and this theme, but you have to buy it

Yea substratum works fine itself but every theme you want to install first you should check if the theme works fine with aosp or Sony roms, some themes are just for Samsung roms for instance.
About the module, you have to install xposed installer and xposed framework through recovery, then the module will work fine. There are guides in this forum and others to how to install xposed, search a little bit
