Galaxy Tab S T-700 Lost unlock options
I have what seems to be a new one....The fingerprint scanner no longer boots at startup, The Alternative Password claims that I don't know it and I can't find the option to sign in with Google. Any suggestions????
I hadn't altered the software, Everything is still stock. I have VERY limited function thru a guest profile which will not allow any new apps nor access to most of the apps installed under my profile.
How about some kind of remote access?? Bypass the lock screen? I do have the right fingerprint, and the Alt PW ( I think, 90% sure). I have Team Viewer on everything else. Debugging is enabled. I have a good Google account. I also use Last Pass......
I'm another desperate noob. Please help.:crying:....

Try vol +home+power with the tablet off. Reboot into recovery, wipe data, cache and reboot. Second one odin 3.09 plus stock firmware from sammobile.com, boot in download mode and flash the firmware. Metod one will make you lose all your data, method 2 maybe will save your pesonal files (pictures, etc). 3rd method...samsung repair...you need proof of purchase , box and all the accesories. Good luck

Did you set up FIND MY MOBILE in Security settings. If so you can use it to unlock the lock screen with a code.

Search on youtube on how to bypass lockscreen before you factory reset.

Much Thanks!
In that I was "just playing" until I had the intestinal fortitude to root I went ahead with the factory reset.
Have any of you seen the loss of a sign in method before? Factory reset fixed it.... I wish I knew what caused it...
Threads again!
Signed,
Not so very desperate noob....

Can't unlock my Note 4

I went to use my phone and for some reason I can't unlock it. The fingerprint option is not coming up and my backup password doesn't work. I tried to change my password through device manager and it still doesn't work. I tried booting into recovery and wiped the cache and still no luck. I haven't downloaded any new apps recently so I don't know what's going on. Unfortunately I haven't backed my phone up in a while so I have some important stuff that I don't want to get rid of so a factory reset wouldn't be ideal but if that what I have to do I guess I'll have to bite the bullet.
Edit: I tried booting into safe mode and that doesn't work either.
Edit: I noticed that when I try to change the password through device manager it says couldn't lock device. I can ring it from device manager but not change the password.
I believe you can reset the password from your main google account if i am not mistaken.

Can anyone create a way to copy existing Google account, delete on reset or shutdown

I'm looking for a way to copy my Google account, then delete it on reset or shutdown, and restore it when the phone turns back on. This is an attempt to bypass FRP locks due to rooting/recovery manipulations. This is my way of being able to use Google sync features, root, and TWRP without FRP bothering me. I didn't want to have to reflash on restart due to an update or in case the phone froze or something. I've been deleting my Google account before restarting and thought if there was a way to copy the info, delete the account, and restore it, then my phone won't turn off at boot from FRP. Is there anyway to do this? I had to post here because of low post count. I'm using the G920P on PD3 w/CF Root. I can also use PF4 as well with same root. I don't currently have TWRP on the phone, but I can put it on there.
Anybody? Is it to long of a post, or just a mess of information? It seems like a fairly easy solution to avoid FRP lock...What were the security updates in PF4 and PG1 anyway?
Thanks everyone!
First off, I have never had this problem, not sure why you would run into it.
Secondly, you can use Samsung's SideSync program to solve this. Google it or look at the videos on YouTube.
Koop have you rooted your G920P with CF Auto Root? My Knox counter is at 0x1. I had used CF Auto Root and added TWRP on PD3 and even PF4. If I have a Google account added to my accounts section and root, I will get a FRP lock when I restart the phone. That's even without TWRP. As long as one of two banks in download mode are custom, FRP is there to ruin the day. Are you not getting a FRP lock with root and/or TWRP with a Google account?? FRP lock goes away if I go into accounts and remove my Google account before shutting down or restarting the phone.
What I was asking was, is there a way to copy your Google account to somewhere, remove it from the Accounts section in the phone before restarting or shutting down through an app or from the power button, and then restore it when the phone has completely booted to avoid FRP. Running Flashfire without even flashing anything gave me custom status. I would love to have CF Auto Root and TWRP or CF Auto Root and Xposed and still be able to have a Google account in my phone.
Any other solutions? I believe I may have confused those who have read this post.
Just FYI, not only have I rooted my phone with CF-Auto-Root but I have written the tutorials on how to do it. And no, no FRP lock for me ever.
You will find if you read these forums that most people aren't experiencing any such issue. You are simply doing something wrong.

I decided to use CF Autoroot after taking the latest OTA, without any issue. You haven't enabled OEM Unlocking, have you? ;p

Of course that is the issue. But the bigger issue is not searching the forums or even just using Google.
My tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...uide-links-files-update-root-restore-t3366862
Step 4) Let your phone finish its rebooting process. Then, on your phone, go into Settings -> About Device. Scroll down to Build Number and tap that until it says "Developer mode" has been turned on. Go back to settings and you should see Developer Options. In Developer Options, make sure that OEM unlocking is turned on. It never hurts to turn that off and back on to really make SURE! Simple step that can save you a lot of grief.

Forgot pattern, dont wanna wipe 10k photos

I have forgotten my pattern and ive been trying for a whole day to get it right, but it just wont work. I'm on 6.0, theres no alternate way to log with google account.
I've been trying things out, but even with my computer, no luck at all, my usb is like "use usb for charging" and i cant change that cause i need the pattern.
If someone knows a way, how to pull those photos out, knows a way how to bypass the lockscreen, I'd really really appreciate it, these photos mean the life to me and im gonna be very depressed if i lose them.

Assuming your phone wasn't in airplane mode (ie, it is powered on and is connected to wifi or your cellular network), you may be able to use Android Device Manager. Log into the Google account associated with your phone, select the device and click 'lock'. You'll be prompted to put in a new password, which you can then use to unlock your device.

I did that but its asking my pattern first
Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed.

Well darn. I should have tested that before posting - I'm sorry.
There are some things I've encountered via Google search about deleting a file but it's not clear if it actually works and in all explanations requires ADB debugging to already be enabled and the bootloader to be unlocked. I'm unwilling to test the method because I don't want to mess up my own phone's setup.
Unfortunately, I think you're straight up out of options, besides a factory reset.
Does stock recovery supports adb? That might be woth a try
Do you have TWRP i got a file to help you
soff > flash twrp > boot to twrp > plugin to computer > done

Phone encrypted startup & i forgot the pattern

i have the phone updated to android pie and rooted with magisk the latest version and i have twrp recovery on it
but while installing one of the mods (youtube vanced) and after it rebooted the phone asked for my pattern (not on the lock screen but the encrypted startup feature which i didn't turn on but i have changed my pattern a few days ago but i use the fingerprint always on the phone)
i forgot the pattern for the phone and i tried on it and it says 9 more tries and my phone will be wiped
is there a way to find the pattern on my google account since it's linked to the phone and it automatically uploads it to the cloud ? or is there a way to bypass it ?
Note:i know it sound like i stole the phone but i have proof of ownership if anyone wants(the box and the google account linked to it are mine and is linked to this account)
thanks in advance
Do you have access on twrp? If entered first time pattern should be saved and you can access data.
Simply reboot in twrp, if no pattern is asked make a backup of data partition (that will be unencrypted) just in case you will need to wipe and search for a way to access twrp-saved pattern.
You could also try the google feature "find my device" and change pattern, but as phone its encrypted i dont really think it will work.

sadly the "find my phone" doesn't help
and in TWRP it asks for the key too and when i press cancel and try to go to data/system where the pass key is there is nothing (it must be encrypted as well)
and twrp says that my data is 0mb and can't even back it up because it's encrypted
Ok, but it doesnt say that data will be wiped, so you can try a lot of patterns.
Unfortunatelly theres no way to bypass because data is encrypted, you should try again and again and prepare yourself for a complete wipe.

Simple root that won't trip Knox?

Hi, there!
I heard there is a method for the S8+ where you can root your phone without tripping Knox. It isn't the best root method and it has its limitations, but it would do just fine for my needs.
Is there such method for the S9+?
Thanks!
Anyone?

And no developers are planning to create one, that we know of? I only need root to make Cerberus a system app. In case the smartphone is stolen and gets hard reset, the app will still be there, hidden. But without root it seems impossible.

KNOX is an e-fuse, once tripped that's it forever, no reversing, nothing devs can do
FRP lock is your hard reset security, unless they know your Google login they cannot access the device anyway
And if they have the knowledge to flash certain firmwares and bypass the lock, your system root app wouldn't be of any use either anyway, so....

That's very interesting. Can't believe I never heard of this before.
Will the device actually get wiped and then ask for my Google account or will it ask for my Google account before getting wiped? If the first option I mentioned is true, then Cerberus will be gone and I still won't be able to locate my cellphone in case it gets stolen, I'm assuming.

It will get wiped first, it asks for the Google account because it was wiped from recovery and not from inside of Android, meaning anyone could have done it
It will not allow anyone past the Google account request, similar to when iPhones are locked to iCloud, you can wipe it as many times as you like but it will always request the Google account
For example, I steal your phone with Cerberus installed, I cannot access your phone so the most likely thing I`ll try is factory reset from recovery, this will wipe the phone and request your Google account login to access it again, which I do not have
Next thing I would try (If I knew about it) was flash stock firmware over the top, which will wipe again this time removing your Cerberus app, but again it will not prevent the Google login request
Final thing I would try would be FRP bypass to get past your Google account login, and if they manage that they have access to your phone, but it is wiped and Cerberus is gone
End of the day, no mod/app will survive the phone being flashed as the system partition is replaced with stock again, and the wipe will reset the data partition where user apps and data are
Best thing to do is enable the Google security settings for find my phone, lock and erase, and enable it to send GPS of last location when the battery is getting low, that way you can track it online until it is turned off/wiped
