you said that is working...so i think that can be the 16gb sdcard that can be corrupted or damaged i think so...also try installing original software
I have a strange request, it has happened that after removing a usb drive, the phone no longer recognizes photos and music stored to sdcard?

Follow up on USB Host
I too am using an HTC One X running 4.1.1
I've got an OTG cable and have tried connecting a thumb drive and card reader. Both work. The drives are visible and accessible on the phone. That's USB storage which isn't the same as USB Host, but it shows that the port is active.
I can plug in the dongle for a wifi mouse, it too is recognised and I'm able to use the mouse to navigate around on the phone. This, as far as I understand, is actually USB Host in action.
The problem arises when I try to connect a DSLR and use a camera controller app like Helicon Remote or DSLR Dashboard. The app doesn't recognise that the camera is connected.
What's the difference between the wifi mouse and the camera?
Thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
In fact, there is a problem that any USB storage device on the phone creates the following folder structure:
/ storage / usb / Android / data / com.htc.album / .thumbnails /
Then create multiple copies, can be found in the internal memory, same-path, including folders that contain thumbnails, but empty.
So because of these being used constantly sticks, so when the capture traces of the settings, then any writes to the phone to choose from, but it can not happen, but the capture button will be disabled, but only while again not I step into the menu.
The above mentioned directories erased because the phone reboot always create them again.
If the phone was not rebooted since I've used it and the flash drive has been physically removed it, then if I connect again, it appears no file until you restart the phone.

Got any solution for this??
I was trying to use OTG cable on my Xperia S running on CM 10. I have already used StickMount and all other similar apps but for some reason my phone is unable to detect anything. When i try to mount storage via StickMount app , it shows "none" . so just want to know if OTG is supported in CM 10 . If no then is there any chance that it might be available in the future ?
redmi 1s strang otg problem.

Redmi detects only devices with 'FAT16' or 'FAT' Fille system, so try formatting it via your computer.
I hope this will work.

I use an OTG USB stick and it works with no issues... It detects it after a few seconds scanning it and opens up in file explorer...
Haven't tried mouse.
I have an Eaget 64gb OTG usb stick....
Mouse works just fine
I have used an other cable. Now works fine.
i have same issue with you
does changing the otg cable really fix this problem?
Is there a rom or kernel that I can flash so that I can connect 1TB external/portable hdd?
I can use my external hdd to my other phone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.
Thanks
