Hey,
whenever i watch a video about installing ubuntu-desktop via MultiROM, they say you have to choose 'ubuntu' as romtype. There isn't such a romtype on my MultiROM(intalles via the mromManager-app), there are only Android, SailfishOS and *.mrom files. How to fix that?
Do you have multirom manager from the play store installed?
I just installed it through multirom manager and it installed fine.

So I've noticed that Netflix doesn't seem to play well with AOSP based roms. Well here's a fix.
First, go here and install the Xposed Framework installer...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1574401
Once installed open the installer and install Xposed. Grant it root access and reboot. Once you've booted go here and download and install this module:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...9&d=1358293052
Once downloaded install the module and reopen Xposed. Enable the module and reboot. Once you've booted go to settings>applications and find Netflix. Clear all data from the app. Now open Netflix and enjoy.
Also, here is a list of various Xposed modules if you want them:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2327541
(I take no credit for any of this. Google is my friend.)
Installed the Xposed module via sideloading (the x64 v84 sdk23), trying to install the XposedInstaller as well as the Cerberus disguised & the adaway apks. I keep getting an error "could not find android update binary" if I try to sideload them, and they won't install if I just open them through the file system.
I am currently rooted.
bump
In TWRP? with write access to system?

I installed my xposed using TWRP then I installed the APK normally, everything worked fine. Just using Greenify, Rootcloak, and Youtube Adaway as my modules for now.
Hello, after figuring out how to root my phone, i wanted to install nethunter for it i downloaded it on my phone not adb or anything. when i go to run apps that require the terminal it says error intent please install android terminal. ive installed other terminals busy box and even reinstalled it over the existing rom.
even if i use : su kaliboot_login it will run but i cant use chroot for updates or apps that require chroot to run through terminal.
phone is htc one m8 with marshmallow
the zip i downloaded on my phone from chrome: http://www.mediafire.com/download/e6...-full-v3.1.zip
acquired from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/kali-nethunter-htc-one-m8-t3398588
I rooted my phone etc etc downloaded through chrome on my phone then used twrp to flash the zip and install.
I was wondering how to get chroot to run properly, or if i should have used adb/fast boot to install it. As well as how to format/remove the mod but still keep root on my phone. if you have questions for going more into detail about the issue do ask.
Nethunter not working Moto G5.
Same problem for the Moto G5 running Oreo 8 1 custom ROM don't know what to do i downloaded 2 terminal emulators.
same for me on my xiaomi mi8
So I am pretty new to this, but here goes....
About a month ago I got some help from a friend and downloaded lineage OS 15.1 to my Lenovo p2a42 device. Very happy with everything, until yesterday when the phone began to vibrate and then proceed to shut down with a blue indicator light showing. After some fiddling and attempts to get the latest update of lineage, I got stuck in my first boot loop. After all my various attempts to solve the problem, I decided to do a clean wipe and reinstall lineage. Which I've done successfully I believe, no crashes yet. What I am having trouble with now is remembering how to download the first applications since I don't have the Gsuite or Gapps downloaded. I remember my friend mentioning a problem with the stock file manager for lineage and I believe that is one of the first applications we downloaded along with the apk pure app store.
If anyone can help this newbie figure out how to download the apk mirror to my device without an appstore, I would appreciate it.
>maybe the answer is to download to my laptop first and then use adb to flash it to my device?
Thanks for the help!!
If you want to have Google apps on your phone, search for Open GApps and download for ARM64 devices (nano package is recommended). Then flash it alongside LOS in TWRP. You will have Google Play Store installed.
But, if you only want APKPure store then you must download the APK from their website (either via computer then move it to your phone, or by using default LOS browser). Navigate to your downloaded APK using file manager and open it, you will have a prompt to install it or not. That's pretty much it though.

I downloaded apk pure directly on my mobile from the website (not interested in GApps). It opens in the LOS default file manager and there are basically no options to run it. I think this is because the root may be disabled, my boot loader is unlocked, but it says adb only in my developer options settings. I am new to using adb to flash an apk. I was able to flash lineage, but not sure how to install the apk. For instance, should my phone be on when I enter command install xxx.apk or should it be in recovery mode or boot mode? I tried once already and the apk install failed, not sure what I am doing wrong here. Thanks for the response above.

Answered my own question. Was able to download a file manager using adb, this allowed me download apk mirror.
Maybe most people know about do this, but I wanna share for some people how don't know to do this.
1. Your phone must have unlocked bootloader and have twrp so you can root your phone and also install busybox. (Many tutorial in xda, just follow that. If u still can't, you can ask in comment)
2.
*If you root with superuser phh's, so go to twrp recovery mode and flash ViPER4Android_2.5.0.5_guitardedhero.zip (you can searching with Google and download)
*If you root with magisk, so you can go to magisk manager, choice menu-download- find ViPER4Android_FX_Legacy-v4.3 module and install.
Reboot your phone and you have Viper4Android v2.5.0.5 in your device. Open Viper4Android app, grant
superuser permission, and now there should has driver installed.
3. Open root explorer or other app like that go to dev/system/priv-app/ViPER4AndroidFX, find ViPER4AndroidFX.apk, delete it and paste ViPER4AndroidFX v2.7.1.0.apk here. ( You can searching with Google and download the ViPER4AndroidFX v2.7.1.0.apk file)
4. Reboot your phone and enjoy Viper4Android v2.7.1.0 in your phone.
Just install Viper4Android v2.5.0.5 for first. You can't just install Viper4Android v2.7.1.0 directly. If you use magisk, don't install Viper4Android v2.7.1.0 module and of course don't delete your Viper4Android v2.5.0.5 module. Viper4Android v2.7.1.0 is using driver v2.5.0.5. I think is more about interface update. Maybe...
Sorry I don't know how to attach file here, but I'm sure is not difficult to find the file you needed.
Do with you own risk!
If you not clear please ask first!
Understanding all procedure before you do it.
I think if you phone is Moto E4 Plus Mediatek Variants, that's should be work.
Don't forget to backup before do this.!
