[Q] help with getting to install custom rom

downgraded & rooted phone with s-off, but when i boot phone (holding vol down +power) and go into recovery i get black screen with phone in middle with red exclamation mark, only way to get out of this is to remove battery, any ideas please.

you need to get rom manager from market and flash clockwork recovery mod then you can flash custom roms through recovery

had rom manager installed with clockwork recovery mod but had earlier version, updated clockwork recovery mod and managed to install new rom, thanks for your reply was appreciated and pointed me i the right direction, cheers.

Backup Current Rom

Hi, I installed Rom manager and when I try to backup my current rom(stock) the phone reboot, show the green mark to start making the backup...but in about 10 seconds the red exclamation mark appears...
I tried using volume down+power choose recovery, but the same things happens...
Any suggestions?

That sounds like stock recovery to me.
Did you flash a custom recovery image with 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'?

No, but I could solve flashing clockworkmod recovery touch via fastboot...

F'ed up, Removed CMW and ROM. Can only access Android system Recovery

I was reverting back to stock and deleted my ROM and recovery. All I can do is enter stock recovery. Trying to access Odin but it's not picking up my phone. Any roms I can flash from this screen? I'm trying to revert to stock.

Is it showing Android 1.0 in your device manager with a yellow triangle ? (Device drivers)

Figured out how to get in download mode (power + home + vol down) at that point odin worked. installed cmw and good to go.

can anyone help me? phone is stuck!

okay so i tried to flash a cypher OS rom on my sultanxda CM13 and my phone is currently not going into recovery so basically i am stuck in fastbood mode . my device state is unlocked and when i restart or try to go into recovery the phone just turns off and does nothing. the only way i can actually turn the phone on is by holding volume up + power + home (hard reset tactic)
can anyone help me?

flash Original Rom

Make sure you're using latest modified recovery (28) by eng.stk.
From your description the phone most probably doesn't actually turn off, it just displays black screen (common issue caused by TWRP incompatibility).

You re-locked the bootloader while you were still on a custom ROM and/or recovery?

Red triangle

Hi, i had lineage os, but it was buggy, and i flashed stock rom with twrp then flashed stock recovery and locked bootloader. Now i tried install ota updates, but in recovery it shows red triangle. What should i do?
