Good morning,
Does anyone have any suggestions for a great camera app that is as feature rich as the TouchWiz camera?
Re dual camera pictures etc.

Camera Zoom FX works well for me with the exception of a couple things.
1) Loads slower than stock camera.
2) No video capability.
I really like that I can click anywhere on the screen to take the pic. I don't have to click a particular button.
yup.
ProCapture is nice.

Have anyone done a comparison between Vignette and ProCapture? What makes you think ProCapture is better? My search suggest that Vignette's 3.1MP Superfine option produces better quality than the stock app. I don't know what kind of options that ProCapture have that pushes it above the competition.
I prefer using the Stock cam overall, but I do like to use Aviary and Pixlr-o-matic every now and again. FxCamera looks cool, but the lack of live filters is a big usability issue for me.
Pro capture is a good one for power use. Pudding Camera looks good also, but I didn't really like the lack of options in it. Also pictures didn't seem as sharp as with the Stock cam. I can't say much about Vignette based on the free demo, which isn't good enough to make me want to buy it. However, it does seem to have some nice features for taking shots and editing them.
Tried out the lg Camera and Camcorder app today, and my oh my, it comes recommended, lads!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera
While it can't pull something that's beyond the N4 sensor capabilities, it certainly does a lot better than the stock camcorder with constant and oud refocusing and compression artifacts. As a matter of fact, auto-focus, albeit a bit slow, is mostly stable and the app can pull 20Mbit/s recording over the stock's 12 with noticeably cleaner results at full 1080p. I did notice some force stops while messing around with effects and tones, so skip those options, but for everyday videos y'all should definitely give this app a go, namsayin'?
Okay it does not seem to like setting options to 30Mbit, avoid that or you need a restart. 20MBit is just fine however, just mind the large file size.
My stock camera is better. Pictures looked like crap with that app

Just tried it. Its even worse than stock camera. I am using Huawei stock camera on N4. Much better than stock camera. Focus works great on videos and pictures.

"for better video performance"
Tried a lot of things, @20mbit recording of the lg Camcorder takes the cake. But I'ma try out the Huawei one for sure!
edit: force close @1080P
edit2: @720p the framerate fluctuates between 23fps and 30fps.

The photo quality indeed improved, bit the front camera is very laggy, but its hás a noticeble quality improvement
I can confirm that this app still works on 4.4.2 and on ART runtime, and still produces the best video, set to 20Mbit/s, of any app I've tried on the Nexus 4.

Here is the Google Play link --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera
Nice! Thanks josh!
Came to a Note 4 from HTC M8 and one thing I missed was the gallery. It is in my opinion, the nicest gallery out there.
Thought I'd share the wealth..
Go to this site and download
HERE
Tested on my N910W8 Note 4, using Rapture ROM and stock kernel. Enjoy.
Very nice. Thanks.

Same here camera parsing issue. Tmobile note 4
I didn't test the camera, only the gallery. The note TW camera is better IMO..Gallery just sucks
When you click the link make sure to open it with Google drive. If you have root explorer you then extract it though there and then install, that worked for me.
Thanks for the link. I'll install it later today and report back. I like the new gallery interface and the photo editor.
Probably a dumb question. Well actually 2.
Is there a way to just install the "Gallery" only and not the camera?
Is this compatible on a Lollipop COD6 base Rom?
Thanks

Thank you for clarification. I should have followed the link and would have realized they were separate downloads. For some reason I thought it was an "all in 1" apk just reading the commentary, lol
I will nandroid just to be safe and try later on (910T). :good:
works pretty well on COD6 @ HTC Camera
The app is nice but it won't allow you to attach photos to texts.
*I found that if you select the slide option in settings then you can attach photos.
Confirmed working on xenon aosp rom
Pretty neat camera thanks op

The app apk was extracted from an HTC dump. The app doesn't care what phone you run, it's just an app.

Yes there are a few alternatives, like Moto camera or Lenovo super camera and you can find how to install them if you do a search in the forums. The quality tho is not even close to stock LG camera but are better than CM or AOSP camera.
