hi Im new to the android so i dont really know whats goin on here or how to fix it
I rooted this device and installed twrp. After it booted up I was using an app to tweak it a little, then restart for the changes to take, but it never did come back up. It gets to the samsung logo and stays there for hours, Methinks ive messed up some files somewhere
but I dont know how it works to fix it, I can still get in to twrp and get files to it via a mem card, But what needs to be fixed? the boot files or the operating system? or does it not work that way? I tried installing a custom rom but it still does the same thing, anyway i would like to know whats goin on here and how to fix it, not to mention that it has alot of my information on it that i really hate to loose. willl really appreciate any help i can get here guys
Have you create a backup before you modify The OS?

Hi,
I'm using an SE Arc. I've managed to update to CM7 but it switches between the CM7 animated screen and the main screen (locked)
Problem is I can't access the phone so I can't get alternative builds onto the phone.
The SE arc won't let me revert to the stock build. I think if push comes to shove I'll stick my SD card in a friends phone and do it that way. Alternate suggestions?
you can flash it to 2.3.4 and relock bootloader for use SEUS.
But i dont understand what is problem :/
Ah right. Well the problem is two fold
1. When CM7 loads it shows the animated screen (the circle) and the device either stays on the screen (still animating). It means I can't access the phone.
2. If I reboot to console, format and reinstall, same thing. If I revert to the backup the device doesn't start
I can't get an alternative rom on the device because I con't access it.
Hope that explains it.
I personal dont know how to help you, but i would recommend to you that ask for a help on cyanogenMOD forum, cuz it related with them, they will know better then anyone of us here.

hey sorry if this has been brought up in other threads but im freaking out..
I flashed a 4.2 rom and got the sdcard/0 thing happening and then i copied everything from the duplicate folder over to the original folder..BUT when I originally flashed the 4.2 rom i think some stuff was deleted because i had certain apps there but not other ones and my music etc was gone..i think that i must have deleted something really important because now im stuck in a boot loop!! i've been stuck in a boot loop before but then i usually just reflashed my old rom and everything was good! this time it stays there forever and my computer wont even recognize it...almost everything is gone from my sdcard and there are no backups(even though i made one they are no where to be found)i have one rom on my sdcard that i can see and i know its worked before 100% and i keep trying to flash that one but its still boot looping even though i know this rom works for me...what could have been deleted and how can i get my phone back on?!? right now my phones out of commission but im sure you guys can find some solution..hoping anyways.. please let me know what i can do!

is it possible i deleted boot.img or something?? and if so, how can i get it back since my computer wont recognize it?
I think you lost your files, so next time make a back-up.
To do a clean install of stock follow the next guide:

I made multiple backups they must have just been deleted! i fixed it now thanks for the help..now i know to keep backups on the computer lol is there an easy way to do that?

The only way to back-up ROM's is trough a recovery mod like clockwork. To back-up your apps and their settings use Titanium Back-up.
im confused and lost and thank god xda is back. For some reason it seems my memory is getting partitioned everytime i load a new rom it reads with a " o/ " i feel like i have ran into this before but i cannot for the life of me remember what i did. i have been flashing roms a lot lately always wiping like i should and honestly i have been going back and forth to a lot of the same roms so i dont know why im just now having this problem. Im trying to transfer the latest PA + gapps the rom itself transfers fine but gaps says the device may not be connected and it cannot transfer. does anyone know what i need to do. i am now running the latest PA.... help me plz i lost 9gbs of music already. this sucks

No matter what ever ROM i try, no matter weather its stock or custom all i get is bootloop or the boot animation keeps showing up forever. Some rom heats up while struck on boot animation. so my phone has been running slow for a while now... figured it was nothing and never cared( had another phone to use) now im back on this one as the other broke. i was trying to put the CM 11 on with the 4.4 .... and when i wiped data, the rom wouldnt install and i tried a few times. i would have backed up first but i didnt because it would not let me. and now i am trying to use ADB but my cell wont mount. any ideas? im a froob for cell phones and dont know as much. i have twrp 2.5 and i can get into that boot menu. its a canadian phone.
GT-i9250m i just want to get this cell working again so i dont have to use a htc 8s. i really dislike windows phones.. and i do believe this means i have no os on there atm. i think it was running 4.2 or something idk. thanks for help if anyone can
