Does skype work with this phone? Or am I just not finding how to make vidwo calls?

You're just not finding the button lol.
It could also be ROM related. What are you running and do you have video calls enabled in Skype's settings?

I've goggled and goggled and I can't seem to find something that will work to root this thing. While I'd love to have kitkat on it....I'd be happy just to root so that I could freeze some stuff that won't turn off and to use Greenify. Any clues?
Google towelroot. It's as easy as it gets. There's a thread about it in general.
All the best rich

I only have 2, 3 if you include the LG smart notes and health screen.

Hi, when creating an Everything Widget and seeing hot-spots I can only enter the configuration mode when touching the hot-spot. Is there way around this?

Well I found a way around this issue. Ditch Themer for the crappy app that it is and use Nova.

Do you have any screen dimmer or similar apps on your phone?
I've had the same using both stock and LeeDrOiD, no app installed that I know of.
Going in to brighter conditions stops this popping up but it is quite annoying.
