Why does my watch think I'm in Queens County? - Moto 360

Here I am in Southern California, a suburb of Los Angeles, where it's 65 degrees but my watch tells me I'm in Queens County, NY and it thinks it's cloudy and 34 degrees.
Google maps knows where I'm at. I've got location settings on my phone to their highest setting. Fancy Widgets knows where I'm at.
I was in NY and traveled to JFK airport last Wednesday, but that should have been corrected by now, six days later, shouldn't it?
Edit: I'm using Watchmaker and it shows as Queens both in the app and on the watch.
Edit 2: Now it's changed to Inwood, NY.
Edit 3: Well, this is interesting. Facer has me in the right location, Watchmaker doesn't.
Edit 4: Rebooted both the phone and the watch. Still wrong.

Go to settings in th watchmaker app ... Just select your location manually

Well, that works. If I only stayed in one place all day long it would be acceptable. But I don't and it isn't. Any other ideas?

What app is your watch using in this scenario

What app is watchmaler using for weather and is the location setting set to use phone gps ?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app

I've tried both Yahoo Weather and OpenWeatherMap. And yes I use the phones GPS.

I asked the developer of WatchMaker to allow users to select their own weather provider.
EDIT: also try the newest Watch Maker, 3.2.0 - looks like they've addressed your issue.

Sad to say that Watchmaker still thinks I'm 3,000 miles east of my location. I don't know how it can get it so wrong.

Are you using any blocking apps like Xprivacy?

No privacy apps that I know of.

Looking for realtime GPS location sharing

OK. I've tried Glympse, MapMyWALK, etc. They all allow FB sharing, but only when repeatedly updated, or in Glympse case, it has preset time limits you can't stop/change.
I like to go on walks and riding my bike late at night. My wife gets worried. Here's what I'm looking for.
An app that tracks me via GPS I can
*Gets updated in real time
* I easily turn on/off
* Tracks my distance
Glympse and MapMyWALK both allow Facebook sharing, but MapMyWALK doesn't upload to Facebook until your walk is complete, and Glympse only shows my current location, not where I've been.
Thanks in advance!

Tried Latitude?
No, but it doesn't look as if it keeps real time statistics.... I.E. route traveled, distance traveled, etc.
Am I just missing something?

Haven't used it much but my understanding was you can go back and look at where you've been/any of your "friends" on Latitude can see where you are currently.
Maybe it doesn't offer the granular control you're looking for.

Yes, its not working for many people, I guess the service is down. Which sucks, Facebook timescape integration is broken for quite some days now, weather widget is broken now, what else is will break?
That explains it then.thank you guess they must be having server issues, or they have been taken down for maintenance.

Foraging app. Plot poi?

Hi I'm wondering if anyone has found an android app thats able to plot personal points of interest by GPS and maybe add a photo to that. It would have to be personal too so that my spots don't get nicked
Basically when I find a good place for a certain wild food if like to be able to plot the place by GPS so that I can find the same place next year.
Cheers

Use Google maps and add a star at the location. Then it's in your My Places area forever until you delete it

No, it's only viewed by you I think.. I don't know about using Latitude though.. Try it on some random location and ask a friend if they see it using latitude :/

Indeed, correct. Starred places are only visible by you. You can share them later if you want but it doesn't do it automatically.
Yeah but I can't write anything on it I can only star it. Means I will have loads of stars and not know what it is in the individual location

Try OruxMaps. It supports offline mapping/tracking (with pre downloaded maps) and you can create and edit waypoints and tracks. A bit of a learning curve to it compared to something simple like Gmaps, but it is incredibly powerful. It comes along on all my backcountry adventures lately.

You can open https://www.google.com/bookmarks/ on PC and rename your starred places whatever you like. In a few days or so the new names will be synced with google maps -> My Places on your phone and you will know what is what.

[Q] Red map of US showed up on Moto 360

I was out at dinner and glanced at my Moto 360 to check the time. Suddenly I noticed that a red US map was on the screen. My son noticed it too and then it disappeared. What the heck caused it and has anyone else experienced it? I am on AW firmware 5.0.1.
What apps do you have installed and what clock face were you using ....

I have the normal moto apps and fit . I have installed wear mini launcher, wear quick SMS, remote shot, keep, and calculator. I am running Facer for my clock face. I have Yahoo as my weather app on my phone.
This has been the same setup I have had for months now and have never noticed this red map. My watch recently updated to the 5.0.1 firmware on Friday.
Check your Google search history...you probably unknowingly searched something and Google images showed you something.....I was watching tv...I go to check the time....there is a lady with just a bra on....I checked my Google search...Yep...it picked up something close to bras from the tv or something...

Bingo! That was it. Watch must have picked up something I said. In my search history it had "picture of a 2000" and apparently it showed a map of the US House of Representatives.
Thanks.

Remove "Moto" from watch face

Is there anyway to do this? No matter which watch face I choose it always shows "Moto" at the top of the watch face. Using the stock faces via moto connect.
Buy watchmaker or facer ...then download watchea from face repo .....

Eh...nothing wrong with facer and I love some of the watch ideas. I just don't like the idea of another app that'll kill my battery. It'd be different if I wasn't content with the stock Moto faces (which I am).
So I'm guessing there's no way to remove it. Bummer.
