Hello,
I have installed musixmatch TV from the amazon appstore and sideloaded youtube for android TV.
The musixmatch worked perfectly, and the youtube UI was perfect but it couldn't load videos (probably because the lack of the nexus player's video player apk).
Is there any way to sideload plex with the android TV on my amazon fire tv stick? Or maybe the android TV launcher?

Hi ive just installed xbmc for amazon fire tv. Just wondered if there is away to add apk files inside xbmc. Rather than on sidebar? Also tried adding live tv as it worked well on pc. No success on amazon fire tv yet. Many thanks
I've got IPTV based LIVE TV working on XBMC without a problem, so I'm betting it works.
May i ask how you did it please. Because the way i did it via px wouldnt work on amazon fire tv.
Now that there's a Cinema Now app for Android TV, and Fire TV OS is now based on Android TV, has anyone made a successful attempt to sideload Cinema Now on the Fire TV?
I have been trying to figure out how to view the streaming service "Youtube TV" on my v2 Fire stick.
I found that Amazon's Silk browser (with its built in mouse cursor) works okay to to view
live TV. I imagine Firefox for fire tv would work the same.
Can someone share youtube tv app from fire tv?
It is in the Amazon App Store
Is there a reason why you don't want to install Smart YouTube https://smartyoutubetv.github.io/
Does sideloaded prime video (phone/tablet version) download movies in HD on Fire TV Cube?
I just bought an L1 certified xiaomi android tv box & surprisingly it only downloads in SD, which suggests Amazon have a device whitelist which it isn't on.
My guess is they haven't whitelisted their own tv cube either as if they deemed this ability suitable, it'd be in the official android tv app which currently only streams (which makes it no more useful than a smart tv which is limited to streaming only).
Can somebody confirm before I buy?

To me the fire cube was their worse device
I'm pretty sure the 4k stick is more powerful.
Only the recast boxes actually download and store video but at that price Id get a Nvidia shield and add a external SSD.
