Need advice for most stable KitKat ROMf for M7VZW - Verizon HTC One (M7)

The title says it all.
I'm not looking for features, or experimental, I need daily driver material.
This is for my partner who I currently have CM11 installed on their phone, and it tends to randomly reboot every few days.
I'm not sure how they feel about Sense ROMs but I doubt she would mind so as long as they have quick tiles. But she is used to AOSP type ROMs so those would be best.
Again, it does not have to be feature rich, just stable. I'm currently using Temasek Lollipop which is working great on my OPO but it's not available for the M7.

Best stability is sense based roms. ViperOne has AOSP theming options. I hear liquid smooth and beanstalk are pretty stable as AOSP based roms.
Edit: the Google edition port from Santod is stable as well as it is a port from the GE M7 or M8 depending on release and Google edition is AOSP pretty much.

He also has lollipop GE in the development section. I haven't personally tried it as I love my Xposed.

I'll give the ViperOne and GPE ones a shot. Thank you.

What are some stable AOSP roms?

I came from the Evo 4g running miui and other aosp roms. Never really liked sense. I am currently running CleanRom 4.1. Pretty good but I love the CM9 feel. Any recommendations on good stable aosp roms?
Try them all, they are very similar, AOKP has the additional tweaks and such over AOSP but generally both should run about equal. There are a few aosp/aokp based roms in the development sections.
How stable they are I don't know as I don't use them but due to lack of recent sources they won't be as stable as a sense based rom but good enough to use as a daily driver.

I was looking at SlimICS but idk. I think the main issue with all AOSP roms now is the lockscreen from what Ive seen. I'll do some more research. Thanks for replying

Are TW roms typically more stable than AOSP roms?

Thread title.
I was just wondering because TW roms are based on the current released version for the phone whereas AOSP roms are the latest android version ported over to the phone, is this correct?
My experience is yes, tw is more stable. Although aosp roms are for versions unreleased to our phone, such as 4.2.2. They are usually pretty stable and get better with time. It just takes time for developers to fix things. But you miss out on things such as being able to update prl or profile in the Aosp ROMs. AOSP ROMs aren't necessarily ported though, a lot are built from source, but I get what you are saying.

Thanks, for the longest time (up until today) I never saw the point in TW roms.
I was pretty naive and thought they were inferior in every way but the more I look into it I see there are lots of pros and cons to both

It really depends on who is building the Rom... right now, with them working out the bugs with the new 3.4 kernel must aosp roms are going to have some bugs.... tw is great though, more goodies in them and I generally get better performance and battery with tw roms... once the 3.4 kernel gets ironed out things should be pretty on par with tw on aosp though... I know of an almost completely stable 3.4 kernel, but it can't be mentioned here..

[Q] What's the most stable AOSP 4.3 rom?

Hey guys, currently using Bonestock as my daily driver. Very stable, but I really like AOSP android.
Just wondering, are there any stable 4.3 roms out at the moment? Every one i've read about so far has some data/gps, battery issues.
If you have any experience with the roms, please let me know! I'm dying for some AOSP.

In all reality there are "bugs" in all AOSP roms this phone isn't designed to run them. Check them out and try for yourself. If I were to give you a suggestion CM. If you want some sense framework go for a GPE rom.
If you don't want bugs, go for a gpe rom.
The google play roms are stable but as far as a "pure" aosp with some customization goes I'd try CyanogenMod, that's the most stable I've used so far. I just started using SlimBean today though and it's been really great too so far.
Sounds good. I'll check out the play edition roms.
Thanks
Best I've used so far is slimbean. Though I haven't tried CM for a couple of weeks so it may have changed.

I'm also rocking Slimbean. Jumped from 1.9 to the new 2.0 version. So far soo good.
I've tried most and Slimbean has been the most stable. Version 1.9 was outstanding. Not sure what changed in 2.0 but has been VERY stable.

SlimBean is probably the most stable AOSP ROM at this point. Everything that I use often works flawlessly.

In five years owning a smartphone, I've indulged in a couple score ROMs; I can't speak as highly as any of them as I can of Slim. Go for it!
best ive tried so far is illusion. I havent had ANY bugs that I've noticed so far.
I use Vanir (10/30) and I've had no issues with it.
What advantage would there be of flashing a GPE Rom over BoneStock, if any?
I'm using vanir and it's force closing randomly from browser on certain links, I also can't scan for WiFi
So far I've tried CM, Slimbean, Vanir, PACman, and Illusion. I keep coming back to Slimbean and CM in between bouts of Sense, and probably mostly to Slimbean. Very smooth on my phone.
Sounds like you flash your phone more than use it for anything else.

Yes, hello everyone. My name is major_works, and I'm a flashaholic.
As a matter of fact, I just downloaded santod's freshly posted NuSense One (4.3/5.5) to take for a spin.
Mokee should be on this list...

Pure 4.4.2

I'm trying to find as close to stock kitkat rom as I can that works well and is stable on the gnex. Suggestions?
You can try ShinyROM, it's the most stock ROM currently

I think AOKP KK Rom is stable and it's close to stock kitkat rom
Shiny.
Shiny is the most stock like. Liquid, Vanir and Omni I believe are the fastest, especially if you pair them with DirtyV kernel.

Any ROM is going to be fast when you pair it with the right kernel.
I personally love CM Remix. It is cm based. DSP manager works flawlessly on it and it has tons of features on it and its super stable. Of course whenever you go messing around with different kernels, there's always a chance you will mess up the stability of the ROM.
My personal opinion is to try each one out. I don't see any huge noticeable speed improvements between each ROM when flashing my kernel of choice.
Everyone has their own likes and dislikes of ROMs. So make a list of all the ROMs and try each one out for a few days each. Unless you're a flashaholic. We've all been there.
As far as which ROM is going to be more "stable", that's debatable. But a good indicator is how long has a ROM been around. How many builds or releases have there been? That's not to say that the ROMs that are new and fresh aren't as stable. But they do generally have less issues than the new ones.

aosp roms & kernels.

i just got my m9 and although i see a few beta builds of aosp it really seems development in that area is very limited. really no aosp based kernels either. am i missing something or did aosp development just never take off and get stable for this device?

You are right, there arent stables for now, but i guess they will come in future, cm is near to stable, a lot of bug got fixed in the last week, so its time to be patient...
I disagree. I have been running cm based Roms since I got my M9 a few months ago
Look in the development thread for the candy5 rom and the kernel named smoocha.
I'm on mobile so don't have the links.
They are 2 of the most frequently commented threads so they are always at the top.
