So my phone was previously on LG G2 port V 4.6 (currently now LG G3 OPTIMUS G PRO 5.7).
It is stuck in TWRP Recovery. I don't know what I should be doing. Can somebody guide me?

There's been a lot of people getting the recovery loop issue, not sure it's just our LG ogp model that's having this problem. Anyway, assuming you haven't solve the problem yet and you're still in the recovery loop. Search the ogp topics here and find yourself a twrp.zip file that you can install from the the recovery. Then zip file of the Rom that you're using. Put both files on the external sddisk. Go to the recovery, and flash the recovery on the sddisk first. Now reboot back to the new recovery, factory reset, wipe the dalvik, and install the Rom. Reboot and you should be out of the loop. Hope you have good habit of doing the backup regularly, otherwise you're going to loose all the data.

So I tried to search for a way to unlock this device bootloader but it seems impossible as of now, rather there's a workaround to flash a custom rom even though it's locked thru freegee's CWM with loki exploit. Reading the thread at E988 v5 rom, some users are having problem as to what particular version of the said CWM to use for that rom to work on their device, some just boot back to recovery after the process while others are having some issues when others said it's perfect. Now, if there's somebody out there generous enough to share their idea as how to do it, please help us F240L users,we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Happy new year!
Freegee's CWM 6.0.4.5 for F240L!
Ok, so I asked one F240L user here, stfly, and he confirmed that it worked on his device!
1. Install freegee's CWM 6.0.4.5
2. Reboot to recovery using halo reboot
3. Backup current rom and copy to another storage
4. Wipe system then install the rom followed by the baseband
5. Do factory reset and reboot system
Hope this will answer our doubts F240L users!
Successful flashing!
Ok...so I just want to share this...following above procedure it worked very just fine with my F240L, no problem whatsoever. So don't hesitate at all, flash that E988 v5 rom now!
If you are stuck in boot loop or you just have the LG logo showing on the screen with green LED then I have one solution for you to try out before giving up on the Great G2.(Works for just LG G2 LS980)
Prerequisite files :
1. TWRP recovery (or CWM)
2. ZV8 radio file ("lgls980_zv8_radi0.zip" google it)
3. Cyanogenmod 11 zip file ( worked for me, any other roms might work may be )
I got myself soft bricked when i flashed a modded camera app file on a custom G3 rom for G2. The phone was booting up but nothing happened after LG logo.
The actions which lead to soft brick:
1. Installation of Kitkat baseband for LS980
2. Inatallation of G3 ported rom
3. Flashing of Moddedcamera app via zip
If you are also ended up in bootloop after similar steps then this method will 99.99% should work for you.
In other cases give it a try as CM11 is very safe rom and also zv8 flash is required to make CM11 to work.
The solution I tried out unsuccessfully were,
1. Clear dalvik /cache (using recovery) and reboot
2. Get into recovery and flash Stock backup (Stock 4.2.2) from TWRP
3. Flash Cyanogenmod Nightly after clearing dalvik, cache, system and data. (NEVER WIPE INTERNAL STORAGE in G2)
4. Flash the Custom G3 ported rom again.
all of this failed and I was still either stuck at LG logo or bootloop and then I realized I had ZV8 radio file on my phone and I thought of giving it a try.
Steps I did and that worked for me:
1. I did full wipe :dalvik+cache+data+system (NO INTERNAL STORAGE)
2. I flashed Cyanogenmod 11
3. Flashed ZV8 radio
4. Reboot and it gave the big CM logo for a minute and booted up nicely.
I think the problem was with flashing of Kitkat baseband (one of the steps in flashing G3 ported rom on G2) it might have messed up something for Cyanogenmod not to work and flashing ZV8 fixed it for CM 11.
Hope this info help some G2 owners and save few G2's from turning into a brick.
Even if this does not work for you there are few ways to go back to "stock firmware" those might help you out.
Can you pls tell if your Sprint LS980 is working with any local GSM with mobile data after flashing CyanogenMod 11 & ZV8 radio?

Try flash what ever recovery you're (cwm or twrp) using again from within the recovery.

we need more information: Questions, when did this happend, just booting it normally or after flashing a rom or restoring an image? Also, if you flash/restore, which rom? Many times the roms will work with all Optimus G pro versions but you have to manually load your modem, in this case your modem would be for the F240. You can download your modem (google your modem model you will find it) and copy it to your SD card then flash it
other questions: have you rooted? did you flash CWM or TWRP?
This all assuming this happend after you flashed a rom. If you didnt then you just might have to do a factory wipe/recovery.
Lets us know and we will help :cyclops:
Anyone that's stock in the recovery loop, try flash the recovery and then reinstall the rom and the gapp files first. This is much easier, and it works for me every time. It's much easier than try flashing the OEM ROM with the flashing tool, and then flash the custom ROM again. All you have to do is find the zip file of which ever recovery you're using, loop back to the recovery, flash the recovery zip file, then the custom ROM and the gapp, reboot, vola! You have just fixed the dreaded recovery bootloop error.
