Hi I'm in Australia. Just rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (SM-P605) 4.3 with CF-Auto-Root-lt03lte-lt03ltexx-smp605.tar.md5 and Odin 3.07 and faced some problem (recovery booting, seandroid not enforcing), which I managed to skip by restarting.
But now it says Custom under Device Status but not rooted (I checked with Terminal Emulator, Super SU, Wanam Xposed, they all said can't find the Root).
Wondering if anyone can suggest what to do. I would like to try and upgrade to 4.4.2 if can.
But I can't seem to find original firmware P605XXUBMJC even if want to unroot properly.
Please please please help. Thanks in advance.

Thank you MOABIZZI, so I have managed to flash the Note with Australian firmware from Sammobile for 4.4.2. It's working well except that there is still no Root could be found according to Root Checker, etc.
Device Status still says Custom and KNOX triggered 0x1.
Please advice? Thanks heaps!
Post your exact procedures from start to beginning and i'll see if i can help you. What files you are using and what versions.

hello,
i don't have much knowledge about all rooting stuff.i am not able to root my galaxy note 2 international version (gt n7100) running official 4.3(mk4). i followed step by step guide by dr ketan on how to root mk4. i did everything but applications requiring root rights werent working .i tried rooting again but then i got stuck in bootloop i did factory reset by going in recovery but that did't work. i then flashed official firmware(mk4) from sammobile and flashed it through pc odin and it is working now with knox flag 1 and not rooted. what should i do?? i want to install dn3 rom. is there any other way to flash that rom ( without rooting or anything).
Would like some help
Thank You.
I have tried to root my Note 8 (us version) with CF-Auto-Root. My device has never been rooted before and still had the stock 4.1.2 firmware.
I followed the directions exactly listed here from chainfire.
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291839
The flashing with odin went perfectly but when my device rebooted it was stuck on the Samsung splash screen. I could not get into recovery mode at all. Pressing the 3 button combination just made the screen turn black and then to the splash screen again. I tried flashing several times and also tried removing the battery as stated by chainfire. I was able to get into download mode and flash a stock 4.1.2 rom and I was back in business again. I would like to know what might be causing my device to not go into recovery mode and being stuck on the splash screen after flashing with CF-Auto-Root. My firmware version was N5110UEDMD1. I would still like to root my device but how to do it now?
Do I just use a rooted rom and flash it with odin? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Isn't the CF-Auto-Root only for those on the 4.2.2 update? (I don't know for sure, my tab shipped with 4.2.2, I just thought I remembered reading it)

No, it works with 4.1.2
I have CF-Auto-Root working now on my device. I was all my fault as I used the wrong file to flash. I used P5110 instead of using N5110. Every thing is good now and my device is working just fine.
Thanks
Please please forgive me if I'm reposting. I have an s3 that's rooted up and running great so not a novice here. Although my brother finally gave me his T-Mobile note 2- 4.3 w/knox to play with. However his request was to root and unlock it. I've been through the threads over here and just need a link to the most successful method to achieve this. I've tried a couple of rooting methods already (cf auto and Mr Robinson) but can't get root to stick or get recovery. I guess can I factory reset his phone and flash a 412 rom over it and root and unlock that way?? And I believe his 4.3 update was ota. I would appreciate any help here thanks.

I had some trouble getting root & recovery to stick on my stock 4.3 Note 2. I think the method that worked best for me was installing TWRP recovery using Odin. The official T-Mobile Note 2 TWRP thread is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966105
There is a download link towards the bottom of the 1st post that redirects to the TWRP homepage but here is the direct link to the TWRP page for the T-Mobile Note 2:
http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/123
The Odin Method is the last on in the list, download the TAR file & flash with Odin
Once you have recovery, you can flash the latest Chainfire (1.99) to root your ROM or just flash a custom ROM
This may help you to get root/recovery but beware, I have been randomly losing my root access even on custom rooted ROMs. I just created a new thread yesterday to hopefully track & resolve the issue but I have a feeling it is related to the 4.3 bootloader which currently can't be rolled back or fixed in the T-Mobile Note 2. My thread for losing root is in the link below, please check it out and see if you are experiencing the same issue:

If you have CWM recovery installed, download the latest SuperSU zip and flash in recovery.
Thank you, it works !!
I had the same issue. Fixed it by downloading another superSU.zip and it worked perfect after that. For some reason, even when using Odin to root, it doesn't add the binaries.
Hi..
I installed the official android 5.1.1 (from sammobile) on my tablet Samsung Note 10.1 P601 using Odin.
But of course the root is gone .. I can't find any way to root it ..
And I don't wanna use any one-click or any other crap like that, please.
I hope someone here can help me.

The easiest way is to Odin TWRP, 2.8.7.0, then boot into twrp and flash this pre-rooted stock. Other method is way too complicated for you since, you need to create a patch kernel from the OJ5.
