Screen problems

im running 2.2.1
the screen gets a little crazy ex in the browser sometimes it will only be in pinch to zoom when i only have one finger on the screen and it also the touch buttons stop working the only way to fix it is to lock and unlock any solution to this it is really annoying!

Mine also acts weird.. but not sure about browser. Have experienced it while playing games like Angry Birds. It keeps zooming in & out for whatever action u do while playing ABirds. Does not happen everytime...

I have the same problem begins two weeks ago but now the broblem there is at any operation of my phone, for example when i am writing a message the screen write characters, or automaticaly press the selections in the last line of the screen, i have eclair and cannot use my phone, i go to service on monday.

it is so annoying any fix?

I went to motorola service center yesterday and they change the touch screen and i get it back tommorow morning. Up to now all is ok!

ive heard it was a software issue

I have the same problem and it seems to get more and more annoying... The problem appears now and then and it disappears after I push the power button 2 times (turn screen off and on).
I'm waiting for an official Froyo to send the phone to service.

have you tried wiping cache, wiping data, and reflashing the sbf?

M having the same problem! TRied REstore 2 times din works i'm probably gonna un root n take it to moto!
If any1 got the fix then plzz post!

[BUG] Can't unlock

Hi,
I faced an annoying bug : i can't unlock my phone, i can't slide the ring to the top.
I tried to force close HTC Lockscreen but it doesn't seem to resolve the problem, i have to reboot.
Anyone have the same problem ?

you may have to try a factory reset from the bootloader.
turn phone off then restart holding down power button & volume down.
remember u will loose all ur data !!

Hi. I'm facing the same problem. And I bought mt HOX 12 days ago Also when I try to make a call, instead of calling, it is taking me to the Groups screen.
I've restared the phone a couple of times, tried to restore factory settings, but the problem persists.
yet the phone responds to the above for a few hours a day
Any ideas? I do not want to sent it to service. not yet!

[Q] Lock Screen

Awesome site!
I am currently having an issue where my lock screen will not work. As in, when my phone times out and i hit the power button, no lock screen. It literally boots right into the home screen. I have gone through all of the settings, disable, enabled, changed the type of lock and what not.
Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I have already searched the forums for the anyone who has a similar issue and have found nothing.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to resolve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated!
I would imagine that a fresh install would fix this and I will have no problems doing so if that is the only solution.
Looking to see if there is an actual cause for this and if it can be repaired without reloading.

I think im having a similiar issue, when I timeout I cant get phone to wake ... takes like 20 seconds, like its all fragged out...
Then when it does wake its on the power down reboot menu.
This is my second s4 last one no issues.

Anyone else having lock screen issues? Can anyone provide any insight on why it is happening or what else i should try to make the lock screen behave the way its intended?
I'd hate to have to do a fresh install...and then have it happen again..

What you described in the first post is normal. Say you're reading an online news article and your screen times out, pressing the power button instantly brings you back to that article instead of to your lock screen. It's a controllable feature in my next ROM release.

It is not normal that my phone does not lock at all under any circumstance.
Clearly, i didn't describe my issue very well in my OP.
My lock screen does not work at all, no matter what the settings are.

You said when it times out.. and you press the power button.. it doesn't show the lock screen. I could of swore that's what I read lol.
So even if you leave your phone sit for say five minutes with the screen off there is no lock screen?

You're correct, that is what you read...that was a poor example with little to no detail.
Yes, even when my phone timed out and was left for 5 minutes, it did not lock.
I believe I have resolved the issue by disabling cLock within app manager. Once i did this, it didn't resolve the issue immediately but within the hour, my phone timed out and when I hit the power button, it was locked. I have re-enabled cLock and all seems to be working fine as far as my phone locking when it is suppose too. The issue I'm having now is that my cLock widget settings are not taking effect on the lock screen. As in, color and font boldness. I guess, its better then not working at all..
Maybe you have some insight or suggestions on how to fix this current issue.

First time i heard of "cLock" is it an app on the play store or something? And yes that was gonna be my second recommendation, that there seemed to be an app or some other thing preventing the lock screen from showing.

I would say remove the lockscreen widget and add it again. If that doesn't work, try using a different size widget... I seem to remember having some problems with cLock but I can't remember exactly what I did..

It's the CM clock widget pretty much.

When I reactivate the Z1 compact (after at least some minutes in stand by) and the pattern unlock appears it takes one or two seconds for the touch screen to accept any input.
Is this behaviour normal?!?

Have you upgraded the software by any chance? I have got an S3 and since a recent software upgrade, the phone has become laggy and battery has become poor (although that magically fixed itself!). Just a suggestion, may not be the case but it was the first thing that came to my mind. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

of course not.
not responding of touch panel and some common lags issue are different.
General Suggestion for almost all problems is repairing firmware by PCC
But for better suggestion tell more about ur phone condition;
root/unlock!
since when u got this problem!
any problems like dropping badly or pressure ?!?
if u have root access have u ever install an app with root permission that refer to display and touch!?

No it is not normal - I just tried the pattern unlock on my Z1 Compact and it accepts input instantly.

After some more testing I came down to two possibilities:
Either the lag is caused by some weather app that tries to update after the screen is reactivated.
Or I sometimes start the swipe gesture too far on the side of the display how I'm used to from the "old" Galaxy S2.
It seems the Sony is a little less forgiving in this regard and it might actually have been my fault all along...

Dear you can factory reset your phone or system restore. I think it may be help you.

Mate 20 X Unresponsive Screen

Hello guys!
I have bought a brand new Mate 20 X just 3 days ago!
I noticed that some times I click something and it wont do anything or do it with delay and sometimes I click on something and it vibrates like it did it but nothing happened (like home button for example).
Does anyone else face this issue? do you know how to fix it?

Nothing here, I also use the gestures so never use the home button. Is it specific apps that cause issues or just in general?

Yep, it happens to me quite frequently. I don't think it has anything to do with the screen though. Do you have a nano memory card? Are you stock? What apps have you installed? What browser do you use? Mine started doing it after the 192 update (I think) and has been doing it ever since whether I'm on stock or on a custom rom. You'll tap a program and see that it selected but sometimes it takes like five to ten seconds to open.

All stock, latest update no unlocked bootloader (EVR-L29)
I disabled all gestures, I dont have a nano memory card, its not app related, it even happens on the notifications tray when I try to reply to someone but the button doesnt work. even when I type there is a delay that make me miss some clicks I have done

yes, from recovery. didnt help
also scrolling is very slow compared to other phones even when scrolling the fastest I can its very slow.

sometimes when I touch with 2 fingers to zoom (for example on a document) it just stays on zoom mode even when I touch with 1 finger (so when I try to move around it will change the size like a 2 fingers gesture).
scrolling is way slower than any other phone I tested, has anyone else noticed that?

Take screen protector off and clean it might be smudged . Maybe you could try glove mode it's more sensitive in settings

It's not a screen issue, it's a software issue.

tried both, didnt help.

I thought I was the only one with this issue.
After flashing the Resurrection Remix rom I have never encountered this problem.
I'll be going back to stock soon so I'll see if the problem still exists.

Mine works perfectly. Even with the protective film scratched. Worked perfectly with my previous screen protector, a tempered glass type. I have the chinese EVR-TL00 midnight blue model. Everything stock, no root.

You're not alone, this is happening to me as well on the EVR-L29. In my experience it is most noticeable when tap typing and a letter I tapped on does not register. Also, once in a while when I tap on an app to open it nothing happens and I'll have to tap it again for it to open. It's a mild annoyance for me, but not to the point of ruining the experience. I'm hoping a future software update addresses this, unless it's hardware related. I love the phone, but this is probably my biggest gripe outside of the possibility of no future upgrades in Huawei's spat with the US.
