Hi folks,
I have two phones, the s4 mini and the z3 compact. While in Western Africa (Mali) I just noticed that the Malian sim is recognised by the Z3c (stock rom, not even rooted) but not by the s4 mini which is rooted and runs on liquidsmooth.
Can this be due to the custom rom? Has anyone else experienced this and can help me and would flashing a stock rom solve the issue?
Thanks
edit: just realised that I posted this in the wrong section.. should have been in the general or the Q&A section.. sorry!

hi dude, well first than anything test another sim card on your s4 mini with the liquidsmoth, if there is no result then flash a stock rom on your s4 mini... possibly the rom dows not have the Right CSC for your country which i have never experienced but could it be possible.

Well, since internet is super slow and intermittent I can't manage to download a stock rom However, my Swedish sim works with liquidsmooth (so weird, isn't it?) so I put the Malian one in the z3c and the Swedish one in the S4 mini and I'm good to go.
Thanks anyway!
good!

Hi Guys
I have my Galaxy Y for about 4 month now and I would like to test some new rom's.
I’m totally new on this section and have some questions about backing up roms etc.
Fist my specifications if it helps:
rooted android 2.3.5. Due to my provider (T-Mobile) im not able to flash a newer firmware thru kies atm.
PDA: BOKJ1
PHONE: BOKI3
CSC: DTRKJ2
How I make a backup from my firmware? I will test new Roms and I eventually will go back to my stock rom to get updates thru kies. I often read about clockwork mod and also I often read that cwm is not full compatible with SGY. Which version will work? Or is there another way to make a backup?
Which rom is atm the best?
I’m looking for some more performance, features and eventually a little better look and feel.
I cast an eye at Creeds rom but I heard that he is not developing it any more.. too bad...
atm this is the rom I would prefer.
Is there any other rom that is better than this? The hybrid rom looks so.. hmm I don’t know.. I think its not my cup of tea.. but maybe I give it a try
Or should I just flash a newer 2.3.6 stock rom on my device? In this case which one? There are so many and I have no clue which are the newest and which are fit my needs. I live in Germany so can I simple flash any other country firmware like India etc? Whats about the language of the menu?
Thanks for Ur help and I have to say sorry... English is not my mother language so plz don’t bash me if I spelt something wrong
First off, welcome to XDA Developers, bro.
I would suggest upgrading your firmware to 2.3.6 first. Check out Doky73's thread and I'm sure you will be able to find the latest European firmware there.
For backing up your current firmware, grab a copy of skin's CWM scattered all over the threads in the Development Section.
devsss plzz port sony xperia's rom to samsung galaxy y...timescape UI and itz widgets lookkkk cooll on galaxy y than touch wiz.......!!!

I have done that and I have no clue which are the best... thats all personal opinions. Nobody really says a thing over performance, memory usage etc..
I have read about 35-40 sites in the creeds rom thread and I give it a try but is scares me that its not developt anymore and that some people say that 2.1 is buggy.

and the good thing is that creed's is back to update his custom rom.
You will have to search and read.. dont go opening new threads like this..
Hey ppl, are there any custom roms in the works for sprint s4 mini SPH-L520? I keep looking here, and still no new posts. There's just for the 9192 and 9195...

The GT models are the basics of this forum, sprint and Vzw are still very new.
Wont do any good without a custom recovery.
I'm in the same boat with my VZW mini. I did make a debloated, dodexed rom for mine, but cant flash it til we get recovery.
Hopefully we can have CWM recovery soon :/
Hey guys I am new on this site and found that this it the best site for all you can find on cell phone. I bought a galaxy sgh-i467m from telus and have found that the screen freezes like alot of you guys have that problem also. I was wondering if anyone have found a custom rom to install on this device. It is rooted with stock firmware. Please help me
No one? I thought there will be someone out there had a custom rom for this device to make it faster or just different

Nope, no ROMs for the i467 or the 467m. The AT&T doesn't even have an unlocked bootloader. Not enough of these devices were sold and so there wasn't a lot of demand. I have the i467 and I'm just about to give it up after waiting so long on a JB update that was promised but not delivered. If I were you, I would move on or learn how to develop.
I almost wonder if a 5120 rom could be flashed on the i467m tablet. I've been tempted quite a few time to try but have not given in to temptation.
Okay so I am very new to T800 (Samsung 10.5 Wi-Fi) as I just received mine this week. I am not completely a newbie when it comes to flashing ROM's. I have already rooted and installed TWRP on my T800. What I am wanting is a ROM that is completely Debloated (or has Aroma where I can pick what I want to install) without all the Samsung crap that came with it. I found this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/prerooted-stock-touchwiz-rom-t2973107
Has anyone installed it on their T800? I read through quite a few posts but can't find much for the new 2.1 version that was released on the 8th. I just want a ROM that is stock but without all the bloatware. Just a clean simple ROM but keeping the stock look. Can anyone help me. I have searched Google as well as XDA and maybe I am just looking in the wrong spots or not looking hard enough? My brain is on overload with everything I have read. Oh I have the Lollipop bootloader and would like to keep 5.02.
Please someone help? THANKS! :good:

I'm currently on ironrom now. As of now there's no aroma on the lollipop builds. But I'm running it now and it's really smooth.

i know this phone is old as all get out but I recently acquired one of these and it seems to have twrp installed already but no actual firmware...
i'd like to flash back to stock but i would also prefer that someone could fish out a rom from the deep sea of mostly dead links that would be considered somewhat usable. i think there may be a 4.2.2 rom somewhere but i am unsure. the device codename is "primoc"
tl;dr: if anyone has the stock rom, please upload it if possible. i'd also like to see if anyone has a rom for this device that is on 4.2.2 or later. doesn't have to be that new but it is preferred
as for stock i am sure only 4.0.x exists
thanks in advance.
