[Q] Bluetooth headset? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've already got the logitech bluetooth case / keyboard,
My question is, can i hook up a bluetooth earpiece as well to recieve calls? Would look a bit silly putting a 10.5" tablet to my ear.
More importantly, would i be able to answer calls via an earpiece whilst the logitech case is closed?
Google search doesn't offer up much.
Many thanks!

Yes to both questions. Bluetooth supports up to 8 connections the same time.

yes ,you can .
Now have many bluetooth earpiece. USe it very convenient. you will like it.

Connecting BT headset and LM961 BT bracelet at same time?

I have both a Bluetooth Headset, and a bluetooth bracelet. The problem is, I can't connect both at the same time. does anyone know if it is possible? I want to be able to make calls with my BT headset, or talk, but at the same time, I want to have my bracelet work so I know if someone calls me when I don't have my headset in my ear.
+1 BUMP
LM961 is pretty sweet! There is a thread on here - Open Watch that supports the LM95X series (I believe) but no mention yet of LM961 / LM960 compat yet.
Someone on there said that while such a bt device would be paired - the two do not reside in a connected state... Maybe this would allow your headset and bracelet to coexist... just an idea!

BT headset, skype, answering calls on the Tab

After reading the searched posts for hours, I thought I'd post and ask for an update.
Is anyone able to use their bluetooth headset to answer skype calls on their tablet by pushing the button on the headset?
If so, can you please state which headset you're using?
thanks
Messing around with a Voyager Pro+ BT headset, the earpiece transmits sound from skype and my music, but as for microphone, skype still tries to use the tablet mic instead of the headset mic. BTmono seems to solve that problem, but it's still not possible to answer calls with the call button on the headset. When I push it, it hangs up on an incoming call and tries to dial my google voice number and asks me which program I want to use, giving me the option of Skype and data calling. If I choose data, it says "not supported". Anyone know of an app that will let me change the headset button configuration to answer an incoming skype call, instead of the current function, which is to dial my google voice number, for whatever reason?
I have the same problem. Skype works great with BT headsets in Windows but the Android version does not even seem to have an options menu where one can select the sound input and output. Skype still works fine using the Tab microphone and speakers but if you want to have a more private conversation, you will have to plug in a wired headset.
I find it hard to believe that Skype would overlook this feature in Android so maybe there is another reason that BT is not supported.

skype works with my bluetooth headset and galaxy tab - likely your headset needs to conform to some spec (v2.1)

That may be it. The headset is a Samsung model WEP490. Any idea how I find out if this unit is compatible?

Which bt headset are you using, animatechnica?
And you're able to answer calls with the headset button?

You've already been asked twice. Please answer. Which specification do you mean?

[Q] Recommendations: Car kit - bluetooth mic plus 3.5mm stereo

While I wait for my One X to arrive, can anyone provide some in-car advice? I'd like to do the following:
Connect audio to in-car stereo via 3.5mm socket in glove box
Control pause/play via some kind of Bluetooth or in-line remote
Wired or Bluetooth mic for calls
Use my current universal dashboard mount
I have a 2005 Mondeo which is not Bluetooth equipped. In any event, what I've heard about others' experiences streaming stereo audio over Bluetooth kind of puts me off.
Does anyone know of anything that fits the above bill? I'm not going to be initiating calls while on the move, but for incoming calls, I'd like my current music/podcast to stop playing while the call is answered, with call audio coming from the car speakers and a separate (visor-mounted?) microphone. I've read about this device in another thread, but it doesn't look ideal and isn't available yet.
I've always previously used a Bluetooth stereo headset (not great sound quality), so I'm completely green with this kind of setup. My company's usual supplier wanted me to have some awful non-stereo Parrot car kit. I think I can do better than that.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Answering my own post here - it looks like the Belkin CarAudio Connect with BlueTooth (F4U037tt) would do the job. Anyone tried one of these?

Answer VOIP calls via Bluetooth Headset or car controls?

Just switched back to Android from iOS and apparently it seems like Android\S9 does not allow answering calls via Bluetooth Headsets at all? Is there a fix or mod for this?
I'd like to answer Whatsapp, Viber, Skype type calls via the answer key on the car steering wheel same as what iOS allowed me to.
To clarify - once I answer the call on the phone, I can then talk via Bluetooth no issues. The problem is using the answer button on the car or headset to pick the call. Normal calls are not affected.
All my google-fu has returned futile as it seems this is not possible with Android yet.
I have also tried another Jabra Bluetooth headset and it is no different.
Thoughts?
No problems answering on my Malibu 2016 using connect button. Not to mention Android Auto also works fine, but of course USB chord connected. But even when NOT using AA, I can answer or disconnect with car controls just fine.
What VOIP app are you using when you mentioned that you can answer calls? Have you tired answering a Whatapp or FB call?

Automatically Answer On Bluetooth

Hello. Yes, I know I should upgrade. However, I'm an old fart and I absolutely love this phone. It's perfect for me and it feels wonderful to use.
I am on Android 10, latest security patches, completely stock. Pixel 2 XL.
I cannot figure out how to get my phone to automatically answer a call when I am connected to Bluetooth. I have Googled, I have searched this forum.
Can anyone help? Thanks.
It's in the google voice settings

I don't think those settings will do what he wants. I have a Bluetooth Plantronics headset and hearing aids that connect with Bluetooth. For both I have to tap a button on the device to answer. The Plantronics headset will answer if it is off my ear and I put it up to my ear, but that is a setting in the headset, not the phone.

I just got a chance to look, and unfortunately no, the setting isn't there. I connect to an FM transmitter in my car, and still need to reach over and slide to answer when someone calls. I just want it to automatically answer so I don't need to touch the phone. When I use my ear buds that would be nice as well.
