Hey guys, i have to set up at least 7 different alarms for me to wake up in the morning. So when i woke up, i woke up with like 7 little clock icons in my status bar. It was very annoying. I tried to go into cLocks settings, and nothing. Tried to go into my system setting and even liquidsmooth settings. Can't find a solution? ROM is LiquidSmooth kitkat 3.2 stable

Get into the clock app and enter it's settings, you should be able to turn off notification (for alarms) in there

I tried that and whenever I do that it messes up with my alarm going off
go to settings - applications, swipe right to see all - open clock - untick show notifications.
that might work, havent tried it myself though

A better question is how did you enable the notifications? I've never had them myself.
I'm just taking a guess here, but did you set your alarms using OK Google, or by voice? If so, delete those alarms and set them manually from the clock settings.

Hey there
The only custom ROM I have tried that has quick settings icons in the drawer is Team Venom's Viper. I have recently installed Android Revolution HD 15 and I am loving it, however it does not have the quick settings icons mentioned. I tried Googling and I stumbled upon several different applications for that purpose, but none of them work the way I want it to, including Extended Controls and Control Panel.
I am currently using the Extended Controls widget in one of the home screens and I have the Control Panel application installed, however when you open the drawer you still have to tap "Control Panel" and then you see the icons, not immediately. In the Viper ROM, when you opened the drawer you would see the icons and you can swipe left and right to reveal the other ones, and there was also a Quick Settings menu on the bottom which had them in a horizontal format, but I am guessing this one is developed by and only for Viper.
This is how I want it to appear:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Any ideas?
Thank you
EDIT: I'd also like to know if it is possible to get the AOSP lockscreen that was available to enable on Team Venom's Viper as well. Thanks!
no the mod is not out till now so your only way is to use apps like widgetsoid and stuff hope i helped and a thanks would be gr8
I had the same problem. None of the currently release JB roms ahve quick settings. Regarding the lockscreen you could always try lockscreen applications like 'widget locker' I know for a fact widget locker has the lockscreen you mentioned.
Well it's weird that Team Venom's Viper has it. I really miss that feature, it was probably the one I used most.
Yeah, I stumbled upon WidgetLocker and I got the Pro version after trying the normal one, it's really good, although you don't get several unlocking options like the real AOSP lockscreen, but then again I only used one of them which is unlock so it doesn't matter. Haha..
Thanks for your reply and help.
Try Widgetsoid app from Play
That is awesome. I did not know how to configure it at first but now that I have, it's amazing. Thank you so much, it does exactly what I want it to. If only it had a swipe left and right feature, but then again you can't always get 100% of what you want haha! I think the donate version has it, though, I might as well donate for it.
This icon has shown up recently in my notification bar and will not go away. I am struggling to find what app it is for. Any ideas?

Google Goggles didn't return any results. What have you installed recently?

Nothing new has been installed.
I was thinking since its showed up recently there was probable an app installed recently as well, since not.. did you maybe change any of the developer settings lately?
I'm guessing there is no additional info in the notif bar, right? cause if so, you can hold it down and select "app info" and then uncheck the "notifications tickbox". That works on any app that gives notifications you don't want, or if an app requires a persistent notification to function properly but you don't want to see the icon all the time.

You are correct. When I pull down the notification bar, there is no additional information for this icon (nor is the icon shown). I have not made any changes to my settings (that I am aware of) nor have I done anything in the developers settings...which is why this icon is throwing me for a loop.
Hmm. I cant think of anything else either, if something does come to me I will let you know. Hopefully someone else does know what that icon is for.
Mystery Solved....
Apparently my Notification Toggle App changed icons. I hate when that happens.
Hi there,
Is this possible? I'm struggled trying to achieve this but I couldn't find any option in any of the settings
Thanks,
Rafael

If you are talking about the Quick Setting Toggles for Wi-fi, Data, Screen Rotation, it can easily edited in many ways
1st way : Go to Settings > My Device > Display > Notification Panel
2nd way : Slide down the notification toolbar with two fingers, you will be able to see all options with edit option on top right

For some reason, I don't have the notification setting option under Device>Display. I also tried the two-finger pull down, and nothing. I have the I9082L, running I9082LUBAMH1. Any suggestions? Thx guys.

That's because your firmware is Android 4.1.2... What he said above is for 4.2.2...
Hi,
I use the standard alarm on my Galaxy S3 to wake me up in the morning.
When it goes off I usually just press a button on the side to turn it off. Since a few days, after I've done this there is a notification in the top bar, and a message when I swipe it down. (see screenshot below ) The message reads (mine is in Dutch): "Alarm - You can stop alarms or put them in hiberna.." where I suppose the rest would be "...te by going into settings.." or something.
The annoying thing is this message is a permanent notification and it isn't possible to swipe the message away or I haven't found a way to turn it off. The only way is to reboot the device. Not too much trouble, but kinda trivial to have to do this every day just to get rid of a notification
The phone just recently started doing this, so I'm guessing it came in with a recent update or something.
Any help would be appreciated!
Dries

Long press the notification, then press App Info. Uncheck the Show Notifications box.

Thank you for the reply!
It won't let me uncheck the box, but you did gave me a way to get rid of the notification; as I can "force close" the app. I then have to remember to start it back up, otherwise I won't wake up on time the next day
If there's any more help, I'd be glad to hear it!
I honestly think the best solution is to find a better app. I'd recommend Alarm Clock Plus. There's a free version you can try.

I just installed it. Thanks for the help!
I've never seen this one before.
I would clear data for it and see if it continues, but it looks like you installed another alarm app. I personally am using Timely now. I like the compatibility between TW and AOSP ROMs, the syncing feature, etc.
I would freeze the stock clock app if you're not using it anymore. Wakelocks you don't need.
Thread title, really.
I've missed immersive mode on my 7 Pro ever since I got my 9 Pro, there wasn't any time I would ever turn it off on my 7 Pro and it's why I'm keeping it on Android 10. But Android 11 lacks immersive mode so I can't use it on my 9 Pro. I fear burn in so I've had my status bar permanently hidden (set to 0px) and I just bring it down with a gesture when I need to view notifications.
But even though the status bar is 0px, all my apps still know the holepunch is there and push the content below the holepunch / make a black bar above the holepunch. Is there any setup that you guys know of that ignores the holepunch? Bonus points of its on a per-app basis. I know Samsung phones can use Good Lock to accomplish this, and it's crazy that a phone that doesn't even need root can accomplish this but I can't seem to find a solution for my phone with an unlocked bootloader lol.
But yeah, I really just want a way to force apps to ignore the holepunch. Anything?

That's what I'm using to force my status bar to 0px. Unfortunately the whole ignore holepunch thing doesn't seem to work on OOS11. Unless you found some way?
Did you enable this in Dev Settings? It appears when you are using G-Visual mod

Yeah, but even after enabling, it only affects the status bar and no other app. Even in your screenshot, I can see your settings app pushed considerably below where your status bar is. Seems like a true immersive mode is just impossible on Android 11
Oh sorry I misunderstood you, the G-Visual mod makes the app go full screen (with status bar) in portrait mode.
