[CWM] HTC Desire 616

How to i can install CWM for HTC desire 616, it used CPU MTK 6592 , i had rooted it

Thanks for sharing that. But I think it will be better, build CWM from source. I don't have that much of time to do that. But i'll try when i managed the time. Hope fully it will come soon

Sir, I have been searching many methods for rooting my HTC desire 616 dual sim, but couldnt find one better,
The one posted above I coudnt handle it, so Please Help me for rooting my handset,
Its detail are as follows (if required):
model no.: HTC Desire 616 dual sim
Android Version: 4.2.2
Hardware Version: M10
Build Number: 1.00.708.005
Kernel Version: 3.4.39

Till now I am unable to find reliable source or process. I found some way out of XDA (like 4pda), but the process is not comfortable to me. I will share if I managed anything.

Did you manage the device root process and CWM?

I rooted my phone using the shuame link shared above. Download the apk and install it. The language is Chinese but once you open the app you can see a big round button with root written on it. Just click it and wait till it loads. The device gets rooted and king user is installed. I didn't like king user so I got su from the play store. There is an option of installing su to system in the settings. Once installed I deleted king user. Hope this helps u in rooting your phone

I am talking about alternative way/process

srsroot.com also supports the desire 616 according to their tested devices list. Haven't tried it yet though.

Hey there I tried that, but my main board some how got damaged, it didn't went further than startup HTC logo. I had to replace it from care center. Please suggest any other method, and please also suggest some better working rom than the stockish JB Rom.
and please also help about the installation of sense music player than the stock android mucic player. Plz plz plz plz

There is a thread to get all working sense apps but we need to have a kit kat rom.... Try Huawei music player apk it looks great and works perfectly on my 616. Hope we get KitKat or will we ever get KitKat??

I have successfully rooted my Desire 616, Installed CWM 5.5.0.4 via MTK Droid Tools. Installed working Xposed framework and modules after Deodexing the ROM.
Now I am looking for ElementelX custom kernel for this phone. Does anyone have any idea about its availability, as it is not available for this phone on Google.

You made a mistake. Xperia_MOD__T100s is android 4.2.2 with a modified build.prop.

Hey! Stop fooling around, this ROM is not 4.3, its still 4.2.2
Its a stock odexed Rom

V_singh its on 4.3 not on 4.2
Nd here is also a new ported rom from zopo ZP998

U need to look at its Fingerprint then u will understand what is it.

guys i know people who have m7 and are enjoying lollipop ... dang! lets face it htc has stopped building roms for this device ... we are never gonna get updates ... we all know that m7 packs a slower processor but still has sense 6 or 7 whatever ... CAN ANYONE PORT THE M7 ROM FOR DEVICE WITH FULL AND PROPER SENSE UI ?? our fricking device is almost stock android .... please guys ... i am willing to help ...

I have noticed that HTC Desire 620g doesn't have Sense OS its only android 4.4.2 and theres no any stock ROMS found no where even HTC DEV please help me to find out Stock ROM for this Phone im totally Frustrated about this phone why HTC release this phone without sense OS Help me out to get the sense OS Please

I think it would be very difficult to create sense based rom for this phone since it runs on mediatek but nothing is impossible.it will need a huge developer sport to create a sense based rom.
