I have a Galaxy S3 with AT&T. I tried rooting it with Odin and CF-Root v6.4 and it did not work. Now all the phone shows is, Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. I can not seem to get in to download mode anymore and Kies does not connect to the phone. Could anyone help me with get this fixed?
Thanks
Cf root is for i9300 (international). So you flashed something from the wrong phone. See post in development thread on how to unbrick from flashing i9300 firmware.

Hi Folks,
I recently updated to jellybean via this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-_flXha-n_8
within this link the OP does provide links how to attain root back.
Link#1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900492
Link#2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
My problem is following those links still have no idea what to do. Do I download the files in link#1 and put them on the SD card? then install SuperSU from google play and run them?
If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction it would wonderful thank you in advance.

You can use the method M20 posted, or look into the development section and acquire the all-in-one toolkit by Mskip, which would do everything for you.
Thank you "m20120" that worked.
Hey everyone, I'm a noob in the world of android devices and rooting phones. So basically, my sisters galaxy gio s5660M is running out of internal memory and most apps cannot be moved to the external SD. This is the reason I wish to root, in order to save apps on the SD. The phone is running 2.3.4 Gingerbread. I've seen a few tutorials about rooting this phone, but all of them weren't specific to the firmware that this phone has and were pretty sketchy. How do I go about rooting this phone, without bricking it or wiping out any data? Thank you so much, all help appreciated :laugh::laugh:

Hi all,
I just moved from a Galaxy S2 to a near new Note 2. I rooted the S2 a long time ago.
Now I like to root the Note 2. At this moment, I just want to root it so that I can
run Titanium backup, remove ads, remove bloatware etc...
I searched and read through may be several hundred posts but I'm more confused than ever.
Please give me some pointers and I will go from there. I know what Odin, CWM are but my memory
is outdated as the last time i used them to root my S2 was Oct 2012 and never touched them ever since.
Thank you very much in advance. I appreciate all your help.

Hey there, I was wondering whether I could use the Software "KingoAndroidRoot" to simply root my GT-P5210.
Anyone tried this? Because http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432467 here the Root ZIP download does not work..
I could just click on root now but im a bit scared since I found nothing about my Tablet in combination with this software(kingo android root) :S can it even brick the device?
i have 4.2.2 installed... just want to get rid of all these preinstalled apps... touchwiz isnt too bad imo.
Still would apreciate roms, do you think in the future there might be cyanogenmod or something aviable for this device??
thanks for your suppport, i apreciate it!
regards
Don't use Kingo...Just tested it for you and after 45 minutes of headache it doesn't work. Maybe the next version will.
