I have an extended battery that I bought from E-bay, its not a genuine Dell battery. I use it and it will not start up my Pocket PC. Should I buy a geniune Dell battery? I don't think I should have bought this battery. If anyone has or had the same problem let me know. Your comments will help a lot.
As we dedicate only to HTC devices you wont get too much attention.
better try here:

Good luck,
You probably got ripped off by some bum fleaBay reseller. There's thousands of cheap batteries out there, and if possible yes you should buy an actual Dell from one of the resellers - the problem is that a lot of those resellers are based in Hong Kong and outside the US (and many other places) and they will put pictures of an actual Dell battery in the ad, and when you order one based on that info (the ad and the picture) you get screwed when the battery you get isn't what you were expecting.
Stick with resellers that have high ratings (98% or higher), that are based in the US or wherever you happen to be (country-wise), that specifically state that it's an actual Dell replacement battery, that offers a return policy IN WRITING in the ad, and is affordable for you.
While this forum may not provide direct support for the Axims themselves, they are arguably the most popular PocketPCs out there even years later (meaning a dedicated PocketPC, not a phone, not a Smartphone, etc) - and the question is legitimate in many respects because HTC built the Axims for Dell originally, hence they are HTC devices.
This forum is about XDA hardware and Windows Mobile to a great degree, and the Axims fit right into those categories...
To the OP: look specifically for actual Dell replacement batteries as noted, or go get one of the Mugen brand batteries for the Axims, those are the best replacement batteries you can get. You can find the Mugen batteries listed here at the bottom of the page:
http://www.aximcases.com/store/aximx50.html
Good luck...
ps
The one that I've used on fleaBay was named asellertool in the recent past, picked up a few stock 1100 mAh batteries that are actual Dell batteries, never had any issues with them and I use them in my X51v on a rotating basis (I have 4 now, always keep one on the docking cradle and then rotate 'em out, I put numbers on 'em with a marker so I know they're being used equally).
I'm on the market to upgrade my battery from the 1300 to the evo 1500 mah.
I was looking for a bargain deal that isn't too good to be true. Like a twenty dollar battery. Does anyone who bought from ebay know any reputable sellers I should by from?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA app

I bought these and they are real (when I bought them in June they were at least)
Can you comfirm the labels on the battery match this?
http://androidforums.com/incredible-accessories/99219-1500mah-fake-real.html
Yes the label is correct. If you read the link you posted it says a lot good about that seller. BUT, I am posting this since today, exactly 6 months after purchase, the battery from that seller died. It overheated and wont charge or power the phone. It gave no warning since it was working great. Also weird; it died exactly at 6 months old.....to the day I bought it. I am also now looking for a NEW reputable seller. I am looking at this auction 280605134627 since if I am going to get screwed, might as well be for as little as possible.
Hey guys,
After having my Galaxy Nexus for little over a week, the battery is starting to worry me. I don't think the battery would ever last me one full day with heavy usage and I was wondering, do you guys know of a website or a retailer that sells an extended battery/extra battery or on the go charger for the Galaxy Nexus? I'm probably going out for the holidays and I don't want the battery to die on me.
I am using the GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus from Bell on Android Revolution HD (though I did notice the same battery life on the stock rom :/)
Also, on a side note, does anyone have a good site to get a USB otg adapter or a MHL-HDMI cable/adapter for a good price?
Note: I'd prefer not buying from Ebay, as I have had bad experiences in the past. Something like Amazon would be preferred.
Thanks,
Mosh

if your using the gsm gnex i would get the gnex carcharger from vzw, it charges the phone really fast(like the home charger) until you can find a gsm extended battery online or something
I'd go nuts having to constantly swap out my batteries to charge them at the end of the day. Get the charger.
Monoprice is a good place for cables. Power sources though are kind of meh.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I've got a spare battery and the factory stand that can charge the extra battery without it being in the phone on order. Not sure when they'll reach my shores but apparently "not too far away". I'm sure you could find a supplier where ever you are. IMO they were reasonably priced for genuine accessories
Thanks for the replies guys! I don't think I can get a charger from Verizon and it would probably be expensive. Oh, and just to confirm, by charger you mean on the go (without an outlet)?
EDIT: Also, do you guys know of any good websites in Canada?
EDIT2: Amazon is preferable!

You could, you know, do a search on amazon:

Been trawling the interwebs for an extended battery for gsm (like the gs2 one), If anyone comes across anything please post
Extended battery is still on sale for $24.99 I just ordered mine last night. Click the link and add to cart and it will price drop to $24.99.
Enjoy.
I'll let you know how much extra battery it actually gives once I get it but its supposed to help.
I would post the link but since I'm still so new it will not let me but just go to Verizonwireless and find it under the accessories. The Retail stores are doing the same deal as well.

Did you order from Verizon? Or from the link posted above?
I ordered directly from verizon, get free 2 day shipping as well. Its a actual bigger battery with new backplate to fit it directly onto the phone, so other then that you don't really even know you have the extended battery. I will know once it comes it how much bigger it makes the phone but I've heard its pretty minimal on the look of it. I don't know if this supports the GSM model since I am on Verizon and have the LTE/CDMA phone.
i got my car charger from expansys when i ordered the phone
Can anyone confirm that this will work? : http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Ultr..._1_6?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1324279677&sr=1-6
I bought a supposedly genuine battery off of Ebay that turned out to be a total bust. It doesn't fit well either as I can feel it shifting inside the phone. :crying:
Does anyone have any suggestions on good OPO 2 replacement batteries?
I actually bought 2 different ones (one from ebay and one from a different site). Both of which turned out to be bad. They worked but they lasted less than the original one. I ended up going back to the original. If yours' is tottaly dead, I suggest you just stick with whatever you've got and don't waste more money.
why don't you buy it from oneplus store?

Because if you already knew, oneplus doesn't sell any replacement parts through their store, they only do repairs (which are expensive afaik)
Damn, guess I'll have to go back to the old one. I might try Amazon and see if they're better than ebay.
Thinking after 2 years it's time for a battery replacement, I ordered as well recently from Ebay waiting it to be delivered but not keeping my hopes high. I let you guys know if it turns out OK.
Edit: It's terrible. Overheats and charges really slow etc. Went back to the stock. Ordered another one. Will update.
Edit 2: Back again to stock.
same here guys.. got the phone for 20 months now and in winter I got huge battery drops....I'm just calling/email and the battery won't last for more then 8 hrs... this is crazy...
same here, bought two on ebay, both worse than the original.
Asked support where to get a original replacement, but they wouldn't tell, but offered to do the replacement for around 40 Euros. It took almost 5 weeks though, so if you have a spare phone, I'd advise to do the same, instead of trying to find a decent replacement somewhere....
Hi everyone, reviving this thread as the older our beloved op2 gets the more and more of us will be in a need of a replacement battery.
Now, did anyone have any luck finding an oem battery replacement somewhere else than OP support?
All the "originals" on eBay seem to be garbage.
Where to buy good battery? Anyone bought recently & is satisfied with the product?

before you start getting stuff from ebay and other questionable sources, ask OP how much will it cost you for THEM to replace it.
in my case, they are asking for 33 euros which is actually not bad at all. as a matter of facts, i am actually sending mine out for repair tomorrow. sure, i will have to live without my OP for like 2 weeks, but there is a guarantee i will get an original battery.
rule of a thumb - "original" batteries from ebay are ****

I agree. Charged the same. Like you said, will give it to service Centre.
Hi all, so I've bought one on ebay for like 15$ with tools set and so far so good, on one charge got like 1,5 - 2 days - average usage (calls, emails, toilet gaming) , but charging time is longer i think... keywords for ebay "Original NEW Battery BLP597 For OnePlus Two 2 With Nice Tools 3200mAh 3.8V"
I'm using it for 3rd week now...
I recently had my battery replaced by OP.
RMA created in the weekend.
Package shipped out on Tuesday evening (through UPS).
Delivered at the repair center on Wednesday, repair quote received (and paid) in the evening.
Repaired on Thursday morning and dispatched later that day.
Received back in my possession (UPS delivered) on Friday.
Sure, it was wiped, bootloader locked and flashed with OOS 3.6.1. but that was expected.
I have absolutely no reason to complain and I hereby officially regret all my previous attempts to get a "new" battery from ebay or other questionable sources for which I wasted more money than OP asked for: 33 EUR.
New battery immediately increased the SOT by 1 hour and i no longer face the issue i faced before which was: whenever the battery dropped to 30% i knew i had no more than half an hour left until the phone died.
So, if you need a new battery, save yourself the time and money and do it the same way. I would certainly recommend this to all european customers, like me.

Hello, can you please install "accubatery" app from playstore and charge your phone from 1-100% without using it? It will show you a real estimate of your battery capacity. Post screenshots afterwards, I will buy that battery for sure if its close to an original new one. Thank you!
Hi, will install it, but not sure about the 0-100% as I need the phone for daily use..maybe during weekend

Thank you, the 0-100% is not that important, the bigger fraction of charge the better, you can install it now and it will measure your battery over time, the more charge sessions of over 20% the more accurate results it gives.
Hi so I've done it yesterday. See screenshots attached.

That's actually very nice score, looks like a real oem battery or a very close one. New original. Batteries show around 90%-93% with that app. Buying one, thankyou.
Maybe this has been asked elsewhere... but facing the fact that mostly our only option here is 3rd party batteries... has anyone tried one of the two (or more?) Chinese 3800mAh batteries? One is called an HSABAT (maybe the company) and the other a Da Da Xiong.
Here's the HSABAT "New 3800mAh BLP597 Battery" (I am not recommending or dissing this! Just interested if someone's tried it!):
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HSABAT-N...Oneplus-2-One-Plus-Two-Battery-p/202269516963
And here's the Da Da Xiong 3800mAh BLP597 Battery:
https://www.dhgate.com/store/product/da-da-xiong-3800mah-blp597-battery-for-oneplus/399378631.html
AGAIN... neither of these have been tested by me. I am wanting input from anyone who has tested them. I know we sometimes have opinions re China, many of those opinions bogus, but folks our phones were made there. So maybe these are good. And maybe they are a joke. I hope for input from someone who's tried 'em.
ive bought 2 batteries from aliexperess that look identical to the oem one. they will all of a sudden just shut the phone (no matter what im doing. whatsapp/camera/internet/mail) down like if youd pull the battery out from the back and they will bootloop on restart. even at 40-60% charge. I bought a losoncoer white battery. that did it the first time this morning.
this is crap like the rest
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...20-battery-H990-F800-battery/32803487831.html
so I have 3 aftermarket batteries besides the original and all 3 are unreliable.
I need a good source for genuine lg batteries please

Looks like OEM and so far it's OK. It appears to have the same capacity as the new OEM battery came with my LG V20. Time will tell...
Im pretty certain that's not genuine
My 2 batteries look like oem to T.
Genuine will come in an lg box.

Thanks. I don't have enough posts here yet to be able to share links. BTW, I just got my LG V20 too. I decided to quit chasing the current wave of annual flagships after my Nexus 6P became cumbersome due to its sealed battery dropping to about 775 mAh capacity. I reset the phone and the performance of the phone just seems slower too now (not sure why, but its hard to deny). I am more than frustrated with phones having non-user-replaceable batteries. V20 is the last high-spec phone to have such a thing. I hope that something changes in these trends before my V20 dies.

I just got one of these off of your mention in the other thread as well. After my G4 died earlier this week, I went straight for the V20 since I had it scoped out from the day it was announced. The removable battery has saved me a lot of potentially anxious moments, and LG throwing the charger in as a promo for the G4 was a great idea.
It's hard to say that I won't ever buy a phone without a removable battery because no new flagship phones have them anymore, but I'm probably going to ride out the V20 longer than any other phone I've ever had barring any unforeseen software problems. As the last flagship that's easy to physically work on and has removable everything, the V20 is going to be the third permanent addition to my "museum" (drawer of emergency phones) when it eventually becomes obsolete as a daily driver phone. Even then, it will probably still be a worthy mini-tablet, remote control, and media player with the Quad DAC.
