Hey everyone.
I got this new phone an I was wondering how I can easily switch all my music from my old iPhone to my new Optimus. I don't want to pay for the file transfer software. I have found the file that iTunes uses as the library but I don't think my phone will read it though. My question is ,can I convert that file into different MP3 files or is that not possible? How can I get my music from iTunes to the Optimus otherwise?
I'm also a teen so I don't have a credit card that I can use to go the Play Music route to transfer music.
Thanks!!!

Hello everybody, I am a new Android user. I cannot play any mp3 which play well on my previous Nokia phones and I convert my video files using xilisoft video converter with nexus one's profile but none of the videos were able to play one the phone. Some of my apps disappear when I move them to SD card. Can anybody tell me how to solve their problems? Thank you very much.
Bump.........
ok, i really have the lg optimus L9 from tmobile. but no forum yet for the L9 so here i am. just got the phone and am new to andriod, have ice cream.
just want to play a frickin mp3 and avi files that are on the sd card. if i use file manager and naviagate to avi video, i see a small thumbnail. but when i try to click it i get 'try again after scanning media file'. no idea how to scan media files. navigate to mp3 and click get a choice of google play music or music player. music player gives me again "try again after scanning media files'. now all of a sudden the google media works for my mp3 - no idea why.
guess i am trying to understand how to scan media files. and which program will use the library, google play music or music player. and how can i play video. i am ok with even purchasing a player as i really like to play just about any format without having to convert. what is the player out there that will play the most formats?
thanks
For media searching use the SD Sync app from market. Works well.
where is the best place to go to download apps?
Google Play ofcourse
ok. guess i am trying to figure for now
1) if i copy a media file to my storage card, how can i play it right away, without having to update my whole library. i want to download, point an applicaiton to it an play it.
2) what is the video player that can play the most formats?
1)Open the file with file manager. I prefer the root explorer.
2)LG stock player supports everything, at least no problems even with .mkv packed files.
Oh, you got the L9. Not sure about yours but must be same i think
Also if the file was downloaded from web, you can select/open in directly in the download manager.
Just Figured this out M'Self
OK, just had same issue (same 'system message') trying to watch videos using the built-in Video Player. Maybe it was the first time I used it, but I was actually trying to figure out how to use the new 'Q-Slide' feature to watch a video while doing something else on the phone.
I actually pulled up the manual PDF (downloaded from LG, here), then <CTRL+F> (searched the document for similar system mssgs), and got a 'hit' on Page 49 of the OEM manual (my search, BTW, was 'media files'--'scan for' never found it).
You have to let the system do this for the 'FileShare' app also (I'm sure it's about 'indexing'), so I did, and it worked.
Not so much a 'system error', as a little 'systemic quirk' (much like a cosmic queef)
See attached JPG.
Hi all,
I didn't see this posted, and I don't think this is currently possible (at least no application to do it yet, seems like with root we could do anything right??) but is there a way to transfer mp3 files to the watch? I don't use Google Play Music for anything and have all my mp3s on my computer and phone. This doesn't allow them to transfer through Play Music.
Any methods on how to put mp3s on the watch to enable listening via bluetooth headphones directly to the watch?
Thanks!
Use Sony's Walkman app. You should find a download link on xperiablog.net

Thanks dude!
So how does one actually transfer the files on there? Messing with the Walkman app ti seems to be just a music player. What I am hoping to do, however, is transfer mp3s onto the watch itself and play from it directly.. (such as not needing my phone when running).
Create new playlist. This can then be synced to a Wear device (over BT).
Awesome! Thank you! Working good from my note 4!
Hello everyone!
I once was an iPhone 5S user before transferring over to the Note 4, so I have a load of music in my iTunes library. I just want to know from you guys what is the fastest way to transfer my music from iTunes to my Note 4. Every time I drag and drop my music to the Note 4, it appears to not work on my device and says, "This player does not support this type of file". Can you please provide what steps you use in order to transfer your music? And also, I'm a music fanatic, so I like to see the correct album artwork, artist, song title, etc. Thank you for all of your answers!
I am probably wrong but isn't music on an iPhone some proprietary suffix and not mp3

I use the "iSyncr: iTunes to Android" app from the play store. It's free for first 100 songs and one playlist. It costs $4.99 (I think) for unlimited songs and playlists. It works great and is well worth the expense.

First week with the G4 and having a few issues. Trying to make this the first phone I don't have to root.
Many of my music files won't play on the phone. I am using player pro with dsp which usually plays all file types and now it won't play mp3 or wma files. When I go to the stock media player they don't play either. The weirder thing is when I go to the file manager it won't even open up this folders with the songs in it.
Suggestions?
I will never proclaim to be any form of expert. With that being said, here's a silly question... Are these not "hidden" files?
Can you see them on you PC without "show hidden items" checked? Did you copy them across in a folder or just the audio files?

Corruption in the files and/or folder storing the files?
