[Q] capacitive buttons not working in htc one x - HTC One X

for now few days, the capacitive buttons (back, home, recent apps) in my htc one x stopped working whereas rest of the screen is working fine. I was on custom rom android revolution hd at that time. while i was looking for a solution, i came across a custom rom namely resurrection remix and i installed that rom. it gave me an option of navigation bar. It enabled that bar just above the capacity buttons which started working fine and i was just happy that it gave a solution to the problem. But suddenly after 10 days or so, the navigation bar stopped working also like capacitive buttons. no response at all. i did everything, cleared cache, wipe data factory reset and then changed rom to another rom called beanstalk which also had option of navigation bar but the navigation bar of beanstalk also did not work. but when I rotate the screen to landscape of my phone, the navigation bar also rotates and starts working fine. In other words, in custom rom like resurrection remix, beanstalk rom, it does not work in portrait mode but on rotating the screen the bar rotates also and works fine. Where could be the problem? How can navigation bar stop working in portrait mode only. please help.

It must be a hardware problem with your digitizer which is controlled in zones. Replace the digitizer.

[HELP] Nav-bar

Hello,
I flashed the JB 4.2.2 VJ v6.3 rom and the SoftKeys_enable.zip from his post to enable the nav bar. It works fine except for one thing. When i rotate my phone i can't use the back button anymore because it's almost out of the screen. The other buttons works.
Has anyone else got these problem? Is there any solution for it?
Edit: In the meanwhile i flashed the ChromiumROM, but still the same problem with the navigation bar when rotate the phone.

Notification bar disappearing and home screen rotating?

For some reason, suddenly my notification bar is disappearing and I have to swipe over it to see it again.
Also the home screen rotates if the phone lies on the table or if I rotate the phone? This was not happening before. I know rotation is activating for applications, but it never happened for the home screen?
I`m on a normal rooted KitKat 4.4.2

Click to collapse
So you are on a complete stock ROM? Not a custom ROM? Do u have any Xposed mods, or any mods to speak of?
same thing happening on my note 4 stock
What is this mystery?

[Q] SGH-T889 Capacitive Buttons Backlight

Hello all,
I have recently loaded a new rom to my SGH-T889 (Team UB 5.0.2 Lollipop), coming from Liquidsmooth 3.2 4.4.4 Kitkat. The previous rom I've used has the option to disable the backlight of the capacitive buttons (not sure if that's what it is called, but it's the buttons next to the home button). In the new rom, there is no option to disable the capacitive buttons' backlight, so I am trying to see what app, if there are any, compatible with my phone, that allows me to disable the backlight of the capacitive buttons.
By the way, I have two other small problems I would like to know the solutions to:
- Camera always displays a "cannot connect to camera" message. It happens once in a while (randomly) if I access it by pressing the camera icon, but if I try to use the camera shortcut on the lockscreen (it is always guaranteed to not work). These scenarios occur on all roms except the stock rom and a restart fixes the problem.
- One more annoying thing is that GPS seems to never find any satellites on any rom except the stock rom. I've tried so many apps in the Play Store and tried the Kat App, but they don't work.
I've searched all around XDA for solutions, but the solutions either are not compatible with my phone or they don't work at all. Any tips and guides are welcome.
Thank you.

odd touchscreen issues

Hi.
Quick background incase it's relevant...
I was running Malaysk 5.1.1 on my rk3188 800x400 and paired it with my Sony Xperia Z for Bluetooth audio and calls; all worked prefectly.
Then I updated my handset to an Xperia XZ premium and Bluetooth calls stopped working. I tried every fix, msu and rom I could find but nothing ever worked. I left the hu with a stock rom until I could find a solution.
My handset software then updated to 8 and hey presto, calls are working again.
So, I re-installed Malaysk's 5.1.1 rom.....and now the story continues...
I found that in the 'car mod' launcher as well as the xposed installer app that I couldn't press the menu buttons on screen. Everything else worked and those parts of the screen worked when other buttons were under them.
Thinking it was an installation glitch I reinstalled the rom but the problem remained. In short I tried four other roms but found the same problem. Then I tried changing the lcd density to make the gui bigger and found the buttons worked, but only if the screen is ridiculously big! (240 or over). I also found that if I used my thumb (which is large!) to press the menu buttons it works at smaller screen sizes but often presses others screen elements nearby.
So, the touchscreen works, the menu buttons work but only if they're huge or I mash that whole area of the screen!
What the what is going on?!
Thanks.

Swipe down notifications only works in launchers

A couple of days ago, my HTC 10's "swipe down to expand notifications" gesture completely stopped working in all apps except launchers.
In both my chosen launcher, Nova, and the stock HTC Sense launcher, it still works. Having found that some buttons in full-screen games which are right at the top of the screen are also unresponsive, it seems that the top strip of the screen has become unavailable, except in launchers.
This bug appeared spontaneously - the phone was bought unlocked and stock and runs an unmodified Android 8.0.0. It has survived a power cycle and a phone reset.
Can anyone tell me what has happened and how to correct it? I've Googled the bug but found nothing helpful.
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed.
