This Man saved me time testing the ROM. I tried the first one and its insanely fluid but the screen off bug is the only thing that makes everything fall down.

Bug : Screen wakeup with black screen Same as syhost's latest CM11 build

Must be because of dt2w

Everthing ? ? Why everthing ?

Syhost has resolved the wakeup problem...try the latest build with full wipe...

i have used this build the wakelock problem doesn't seams to be fixed . I have to press multiple times power button to turn on the screen that is annoying this build is not for daily use.

sorry for off topic.
i can't save contacts to sim card in any custom rom.it displays message that sim card is full and export to sim doesn't work as well.

Finally, we've gotten Ice Cream Sandwich for our heroes. No other explanation needed.
It isn't ready for daily use yet, but hopefully we'll work it out together.
Working:
WiFi.
Blutooth.
Calling.

Not Working:
Camera
Doesn't work without SIM.
Priority:
Camera.
Speed.
Small bugs.

Experimental:
This is not ready for daily use. Try it if you want to see 4.0.4 running on your Hero, but it's very experimental.

Gapps (Only needed for experimental build): http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
Stable:
Can be used as a daily build. Flash OpenGL 2.0, overclock a bit and it's quite usable.

Mods:
Lightness (removes some stuff and replaces the launcher with ADW for better speads): http://www.mediafire.com/?p5wi8p7ieg8v5e8
Changelog:
Beta 1.4: Experimental 4.0.4 build. Use 1.3 for a more stable ROM.
Beta 1.3: Should fix Bluetooth.
Beta 1.2: Audio jack is working.
Beta 1.1: DPI is now standard.
Beta 1: Audio and trackball navigation is working.
Alpha 5: Market is working. Random FCs in settings are fixed. It feels snappier (might be placebo ).
Alpha 4: Sound is fixed thanks to the HeroC devs. I also added market and a FileManager. Calls are now fully working, you can hear the person at the other end and they can hear you. Ringtones doesn't seem to work though. I suspect a codec issue, but I will have to look into it tomorrow. From this we actually have a working telephone.
Alpha 3: Calling should be fixed now.
Alpha 2: Fixed touchscreen (mostly).
Alpha 1: Initial release.

It's the same version, I'll make an update when I get home. The school have crappy network. But the new version is no miracles, just some hacks in build.prop, init.d and egl.cfg.
you are the best, ICS for hero is greatest News
overall thanks
You guys working on ROMs are just fantastic!
Already GB 2.3.7 running well on Hero (some newer stock phones still only GB 2.3.3).
Next, ICS on Hero? Wow! Thanks! This is simply incredible!

you got a point here. i read once that the ICS build can remove the buttons from the bottom of the screen... like on the Nexs S build that will come up.
Stefan
was hoping to see lira post something like that...
maybe the cdma stuff for phone/data connections can be fixed using existing knowledge. the touchscreen may be more of a new type of problem though.
FYI I used to own a cheap chinese android tablet that had a usb host jack (many chinese android tabs have that - a really nice feature).
you can plug in a mouse or a keyboard, or with the right type of hub you can use both at once.
Plugging in a usb mouse into an android device will make android display that mouse pointer thing. however I don't recall it disabling the regular touch screen.
So it seems to me that either this rom thinks it's in usb host mode being controlled by a mouse, OR (and this is more likely imho), the touch screen driver is broken on the hero with this rom and therefore the rom is going into whatever control mode is next in it's code's list of options.... which appears to be mouse control mode.
is that help? probably not. but the mouse pointer thing isn't new to 4.0 - I've seen it in 2.1 on chinese tablets as well.
Ok got it running, and noticed when the phone wants to make contact to my carrier. it well freezes sorta and then does a darn fast warm reboot. But yea it tries to XD
Nice with some help! It shouldn't take long to get this into a working state if we are a few developers.
I just updated with a fix for the touchscreen! It works now, but the pointer is still shown when you press the screen (small problem).
aaaaand.... there's no way to delete posts.... sorry!
so with touchscreen working now (even iwth mouse pointer showing) then with data/phone fix when that can be done we will have the first usable ICS build for hero! can't wait until a data/phone connection fix....
This is going faster than I imagined it

[Q] Andromadus Slim Bean [build 6.2] - HTC Desire Z (Vision/G2) - end call

Hi There,
I'm actually using this ROM after so many tries with different ones and it is AWESOME but....
Always is something, I have strange behaviour with end call. When I finished call, sometimes dialer automatically tries to invoke Calendar app.
I've flashed this ROM, many times but I've always later or earlier have that behaviour. even after unnstalling calendar it still requests for it.
First time I have such thing in ROM. It's even on fresh install.
Second thing, anybody knows any fine Kernel for Slim Bean which is able to undervolt cpu?
Once I used AlterNdromedus 3.x JB but I think it wasn't stable
Yes it is a great rom.
What version Google apps / addon did you use?
The Calendar app has problems if the wrong version is loaded.
Here is the correct link. I used the all in one aroma installer. It makes things easy.
G2 using Slim Bean
---------- Post added at 07:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:01 PM ----------
I use these settings
368 mhz min 1.2 max. IO scheduler noop, governor asswax works for me.
Others had wake problems when less than 368 mhz. I have found anything over 1.2 mhz has caused stability issues.
I hope any of this was helpful. I have been running Slim since it came out and have loved it.

I know about calendar issue but I had it problematic only with calendar sync, calendar itself was working fine.
My version is exactly the same as You linked - v6. Btw. there is v8, is it compatible with DZ?
So, better not messing with kernel in this ROM?
Thanks.
Version 8 is not compatible. blk_jack made a special version for our phones. I find his ROMS don't need extra tweaking. He picks the best for the phone. Any time I tried to add something I made worse. If ain't broke don't fix it.
I am using cache cleaner SDmaid Pro to keep things running smoothly. If I experience any lag I boot to recovery and wipe the caches including dalvic and let the ROM rebuild them. Another helpful tip I use is adding a second ext and use Link2SD to move large apps to the SDcard.
G2 using Slim Bean
Indeed, I had the same. Whenever I tried to mess with pimp my rom I finished with worse
results. So, only one thing left, is supercharger v6+ is needed on this rom?
Thanks a mil. for the answers.
I don't think you need it. If do try let me know your results.
G2 using Slim Bean
As you mentioned earlier about setting lower freq. to 368MHz I thought it's not mine problem but I was wrong. Today when alarm rang on my Desire Z I couldn't woke it for snooze or turning it off. I needed 30 secs to get UI start reacting and finally to disable the alarm.
Beside I had one restart from google play. So, I decided to change to 368MHz and disabling ZRam.
Btw. did you enabled swap? I've used swap enabler script, hope it's compatible
I don't use swap, I tried it a long time ago. I did not see a noticeable effective to warrant the risk.
I do create a secondary ext on my SDcard and use Link2SD. I found this helps the phone a fair amount.
There is a good tutorial about swap and secondary ext. It was very helpful for me. Have you convert your phone to ext 4. ICS and Jelly bean works better.
Are you using ROM manager or 4ext for doing back ups. 4ext has a lot of good tools.

So, for last few weeks I disabled swap, too. Including earlier modifications (tuning up lowest freq. to 368MHz, disabling zram), now phone is quite smooth.
Somethimes I have lag, especially on android play but it's very acceptable
Thanks again for your help with DZ. Hope that you are happy with Note, it's huge phone
Thanks,
The Note 3 is a beast of a phone. I will not root it for awhile until I know the phone is stable and the ROMS mature.
My daughter will use the G2.
The G2 is a great phone for its day. Most phones from that era would not handled 4.2.2 ROMS like SlimBean.
When my G2 would slow down I would boot to recovery and clear caches and fix permissions. That would cleans things.
Daily I would SDmaid Pro or All in Tool Bow and reboot. That kept my G2 in good running condition.
Note 3
I've found another strange behaviour similar to main topic. I've active call and on the same time my alarm rang and again I wasn't able to snooze it or turn it off. I wonder is this due to general system overload or rom itself.
I'll need to give a try for other rom, for testing purposes.

[KERNEL][OPO] FrancoKernel - r57 - 16th September - LineageOS 15.1 custom roms

Hi all.
Compatibility:
Builds until r44 are for CyanogenOS 5.1.1 YOG7DASK1 only.
Builds starting with r45 are for Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 CyanogenOS. Currently r45 is the last release compatible with COS 6.0.1.
Builds starting with r46 are compatible with Android Nougat 7.1.2 LineageOS and roms built from its sources.
Builds starting with r56 are compatible with Android Oreo 8.1 LineageOS and roms built from its sources.
Download:
https://francokernel.app
Installation:
Flash the zip in your recovery
or
Auto-flash from Franco Kernel Updater app
Features:
1 - Legendary battery life
2 - Flash & forget
3 - Typical interfaces like display adjustments, sound control, vibration control, and all that boring stuff
4 - Bypasses the verified boot flag for Android Pay compatibility (root still breaks Android Pay but that's your own problem)
5 - Idle power consumption reduced to the absolute minimum (if you have wakelocks from 3rd party apps you're obviously on your own)
6 - Support for FKUpdater's Performance Profiles
7 - Magical support, I'm here every day, checking posts almost hourly, ready to help anytime (well, unless you fail to read the OP, which contains most info you need)
8 - Seemless integration with my app FKUpdater
9 - All cores are unlocked and unshackled. Mimicking other SD801 devices all cores are online and hit idle states when they don't have tasks running, instead of going offline. Performance is greatly improved because all cores are readily available when needed
10 - Some famous wakelocks are blocked and disabled by default for maximum battery life through out the day
11 - No crap placebo patches, or "magical" optimizations
12 - Probably more, check my github for all the details - the code speaks for itself

Slight OT is fine, but when users decide to act stupid they should be dealt with with the appropriate means - its really annoying for me when OT turns crazy. Please put the warning/ban hammer anytime any of you think there's lack of respect and/or too much unwanted OT crap - but if it doesn't meet this criteria let the OT posts alone. Thank you.
Cheers!

Q&A for [ROM][UNOFFICIAL][5.0.2][04/03/15] Resurrection Remix 5.3.7 - E98x
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM][UNOFFICIAL][5.0.2][04/03/15] Resurrection Remix 5.3.7 - E98x. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Everything works EXCELLENT. except a few buggies
1. Once in a while, the screen will flicker blackish freeze like crazy about usually once per day, at the most rarely twice.
2. Battery gets super hot during charge regardless of screen brightness setting/screen off/sleep.
3. Camera is buggy. best to use camera with a third party app.
Overall, this rom is super slick fast and the tons of features/customization is really awesome.
Although there are a few bugz, its bearable to me, so its all good.
Thank YOU !! :good:

Hi.
Camera with a third party? Which ROM used?
Hey I am thinking of flashing this ROM on my E986, but I have two questions.
Is there a Qremote App in this ROM for the infrared sensor like in the stock Kitkat Rom?
And how is battery life? the screenshot with the russian language doesn't tell me anything, sorry.
Maybe you can compare to the Stock Android kitkat Rom. Does it survive one day with "normal" usage?

I tried the lollipop version but it made my phone way too hot, battery started to bloat a bit, its ok though i have 2 more batteries for my phone.
Thanks 4 ur time, who ever replies.
Screen still flickers on the newest version 5.4.1. Using e988
What about the IR Sensor? When will it be supported?
The ROM seems to be great, but not usable for alot of users, who need the QRemote App....
Just flashed, and problem with no DEEP SLEEP .... Solution, please?
No lights
Am a big fan of the notification lights but this rom does not give the option like blisspop to customize various colors for different application. This mean you have to install light flow to do that and consume more battery. I think Ill stick with blisspop until this is fixed on resurrection. Plus there are way more features and customization on blisspop.

Go to developers option and enable the switch that disables HW relay. Also lower all three animation scales above from 1 to 0.75. BTW you need to enable the disable HW relay switch every time you reboot the device. The best solution is to use either xposed mods or tasker to make it automatic.
When I try to install this it sits at the boot screen for a very long time... around 40 minutes. Is there some trick to it? (Using TWRP on my E980)
Thanks!

[NEW] [ROM] LineageOS 14.1 Latest Build (7.1.2) | NO HEATING, BETTER BATTERY [5.2.18]

**MODS Please move this thread to Development threads, I'm not able to post there! Thanks **
I compiled Lineage 14.1 from sources on a server.. Took me 5 hours to solve errors and compile it
Thanks MoreSushant48for helping in everything ! <3
LINEAGE OS 14.1 (UNOFFICIAL) Latest build with better battery life and and less heating!
Running on 7.1.2
Security patch 5th February 2018 ( Probably the latest )
5 battery profiles to play with!
Power save
Efficiency
Balanced
Quick
Performance
Why to use this ROM instead of stock?
* Less heating! - In power save and efficiency profiles, you can do normal multitasking without any heating issues.
* Better battery life! - I'm not a heavy user! I got around 2 hours Screen on Time with 75% battery remaining with 7-8 hours Standby! So, if you use this as your daily driver and you are a normal user, you can expect 2-3 days standby easily!
* Better performance (may increase heating issues) - Use the Performance profile and see the magic! it'll start over heating but you'll see better performance though!
* Gestures, and customization of Lineage OS!
What's Working?
Wifi
Camera
Bluetooth
NFC
All major stuffs!
What's not working / Weird BUGS?
* sound and Screenshot sound is annoying (even in silent profile)
Disable it by going into /system/media/audio/ui and start looking for the .ogg file for the sound.
Just rename the file to xxxxxx.ogg.bak
* I can't find anything else Report here if you can find any bugs!

Awesome to see someone is still developing for this device!
Question: What about MotoDisplay (the notification feature when you pick up the phone)? Did you include these apps?

Moto display is only available on Moto Stock Roms, you will find AMBIDENT DISPLAY in settings->Display which works same as the moto display

I have to download the RR 5 as Oreo device tree is not there
Thanks a lot!
I did a dirty flash and it works well, except off the torch.
Solution for me: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-moto-torch-flash-tile-chop-chop-t3756268
@Sweetie
Can you share the sources you used to build your version? I'm especially interested in kernel sources.
I'm also working on LOS for kinzie and found several issues related to kernel on my builds.
I would like to compare it with what you used on your side.
And what about camera quality, autofocus etc. compared to stock rom camera app? Is there noticeable quality loss? This is usualy only thing that make me stay with stock roms on other phones.

Yeah it works good, but I think it is losing quality.. maybe I'm not sure.... stock one looked better I think.
Still it's quite good!

I used this as tree!
You can try this too! https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?h=linux-3.10.y
Hi, hope you could answer these questions for your ROM.
1. Is the ROM compatible with X Force running on Android 7.0 Nougat?
2. How is the camera quality vs stock camera?
3. Are the chop chop flashlight and double twist for camera included in this ROM?
4. Any performance issue?
Thanks for continuing to develop for Moto X Force. Appreciate it a lot!
1. Rom is compatible with Android N 7.0 stock Firmware
2. Camera qlty not sure about but stock one is better (little diffrence)
3. Gestures are located in Settings of LineageOS and should work (i dont use them ) also more gestures are there as compared to stock rom
4.Didnt see the performace issue in LOS14.1 and battrey life should be good as already mentioned
Los15 maybe?!
