[Q] How to disabled Google Now's cards on Moto360 notification? - Moto 360

Hello.
Is there a way to disabled notification alert for Google Now's cards in the Moto 360 and NOT on phone?
In the Android Wear app there is a block app feature, anyone know which is the Google Now's cards app?
Thank you in advance for those able to guide me.

I don't think it's possible unfortunately.
Google Search is the app that produces the Google Now cards, but blocking it in the Wear app doesn't do anything.
I ended up just removing the weather\traffic\travel\sports\stocks updates in Google Now to stop it spamming my watch. Shame.

There's a way. Click on Android Wear > Settings (cog top right) > Moto 360 > un-tick Card Previews.

That will hide all cards, not just Google Now.

Nope, all the cards from Google Now

?
Have you even tried it? It hides all card previews, not just Google Now.
Simple test: play some music in Google Play Music, music controls appear on watch. Disable card previews, and the controls are hidden until you swipe up.

Well, that was his question. I have tried it and it works wonders.

Just to clear your doubts, you get to control music and you still get the weather cards for some reason.
Edit: you have to swipe up once like you mentioned, but it is much better than the card blocking your watch face in my opinion.

Just in case anyone else stumbles upon this thread. I believe you can turn off now card from the 360 in Android Wear > Settings > Block app notifications > use the + button and select Google App. I'm testing it tonight during the red Wings/Sabres game. If it doesn't work I'll edit this post with cause and effect.

I don't get Force Quit or clear data option. Maybe, the choices have changed with the OS version change.
Thanks.

Download home switch application from play store.
Just download any other launcher. Any of them. When it gets installed, press the Home button. It'll ask you which launcher you want to use. Choose any of them, but "Always" must NOT be checked. Then uninstall that launcher. Press the Home Button. It'll ask you again which launcher you want to use. Choose the stock one and name sure to check "Always".
Or go to the Play Store, search for Google Now Launcher and then uninstall it.
Noticed on a phone that I rooted recently for someone else that when I used the kindle app it switched to the fire launcher. Don't know if this works all the time, kindle app would open once I clicked on it in the fire os.

Hide system update notification ...

If I don't want to install last downloaded system notification is there a way to hide it?
I have installed Disable Services and uncheked "SystemUpdateService" under G Services Framework.
TY
the only way i know of to hide it, is to press and hold the notification (or going through phone settings -> apps). unfortunately this would disable all notifications of the google play services.

"Screen overlay dete...
To change this permission setting, you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings > Apps"
and
"Open settings" button, which doesn't work.
Has anyone got solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance.:good:

If you are using a mini launcher, that causes it. Uninstall the launcher.

Thanks, it was one of paid watch faces, I set to one preinstalled, turn on allowance and put the watch face back on. Everything now works as it should.
Thanks, your life saver! :good:
Yeah, I have the same problem myself, I install "Wear Mini Launcher" yesterday and now I get that error message appear when I try and use the Runway watch face.
I have "uninstalled" Wear Mini Launcher from my phone but I still have the watch face in my list of faces and no amount of "hide on app" gets rid of that error message!!!
How the f do I uninstall it fully??
Screen Overlay on Huawei Watch
I has the exact same problem and solved it by uninstalling Mini Launcher!

I've had the same problem. I just about gave up! Thanks for the solution. Have you found a good replacement launcher, or just stock?
you can install it again after allow few permissions what you need...
First, I uninstalled mini-launcher. This failed. Then I found the answer under the watches settings. Settings / Permissions / then give the programs access to your sensors or storage. Set the program that I wanted to have access, in this case, insta-weather to take my heart rate on the watch face; it worked. I then installed mini-launcher again (a great launcher program) and everything works fine. The permission settings are not on your phone they are on your watch.

Reminders set through Google Assistant not working

If I set a reminder through Google Assistant or manually set a reminder through Google calendar, I never get any notification when they time comes. I've had this problem for a few months now and can't figure out what the fix is. Anyone else have this problem and able to fix it?
Experiencing the same issue since MIUI 10. Went back to MIUI 9. Raised a bug with Xiaomi. Still no reply from them. Started a discussion in MIUI forum but no reply. Guess this bug is here to stay for quite sometime.
I had to enable Autostart for Google Calendar to get reminders. It allows the program to run its background processes and give the notifications.

The settings have changed in MIUI 10. That's the reason users are getting confused. Xiaomi should have mentioned it in the first place. Follow these steps to enable sound for notification of any app:
Settings > Installed Apps > [APP] > Notifications > [APP] notifications > Toggle Sound On
These settings may vary for other apps. But the general idea is to toggle sound on for that particular app notification. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this suggestion. I tried it and it's still not working for me.
Few accounts
I had similar issue, I have multipple google accouns. I found out that when I save reminders (both calendar and keep) under one of them then it would not work. But it works under another one. Still not sure why it doesn't on the first one though.

Question Disable news on left most home screen?

Has anyone found an option to disable the news on the left most home screen? I looked at the home setting and feel like I'm missing something.

Just goto settings -> Apps -> App management and Disable Google app.
That also disables the assistant which I want to keep.

One solution is to Disable the Google app and re-enable. This will fix your Google Assistant not working issue and news will be disabled untill next root.
