Hello,
i want to stream some games with limelight to my firetv and use a mouse and a bluetooth keyboard for this. But the standard curser is a big orange circle and it's very disturbing while gaming. And because i stream from my pc i have a curser and ingame i need no curser anyway. So i only need a way to delete or change the curser. I already tried to change something in the settings.apk but i found nothing.
Maybe someone knows the path where the files are and i can delete them or there are other solutions to make it invisible.
Thanks in advance

How do you deal with the sunlight? My normal backlight setting is not bright enough and the max is not quite enough.
Also, does anyone know a way to map a key to toggle between two different brightness settings? Navigating those menus every time I enter or exit a building is too much.
Hi,
I had the same problem, sorted it by using the today plug-in LAUNCHER, download at http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/launcher.shtml I then navigated the windows folder to the icon for back light, make a shortcut and paste into the launcher folder, then you can tap the icon on the today screen to open the back light controls, you must have your PC set to show hidden folders to access the windows folder on your PPC.
Hope tat helps,
Regards Steve C

In an ongoing effort to get Skype up and working on my Dash, I installed a VoipforWM6 cab from this site. I soon realized that this was of no use to me, and uninstalled it. However it left behind the "Internet Calling" plug in on my home screen. It is only on the Windows Basic screen (the one i prefer), and I would like to remove it. Is there a way to uninstall it without editing the home.xml file? And if i must edit the xml, what program is preferred for this? Thanks!
to edit the .xml file, all you do is open it with notepad and after looking it over you will quickly learn how it works. Just remove that plugin and you should be set.
Well, notepad wouldn't let me save a .xml format after editing. So I downloaded Microsoft SML editor, which is free, and makes simple coding even easier. I was able to remove the VOIP line from my home file and it worked perfect!
I am curious to know though, why un-installing the app, didn't take the plug-in with it...
On the topic of home screen plug-ins, is there a plug-in to control media player from the today screen?
I think the reason it left the plug in is because it couldnt un-edit the .xml file. I am really unsure as to why it wouldnt let you save as an .xml file..thats how I make my .xml's all the time. Either way, glad to hear it worked.
Hi to all!
Is there any skin for Universal WM6 which will be similar to this shown on this picutre?
http://windowsonthego.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/htc-shift-screenshot.jpg

try a program called rltoday. you could make your own skins, and they can be ne-thing and everything you want.
just search for rltoday.
Thanks!
Now I have to download and try.
Somebody made this for rlToday?

Click to collapse
Nice job tslany!
Removing bottom bar: copy extracted dciNobar.exe to Uni (i.e. \Program Files or anywhere), create shortcut, copy shortcut to \Windows\Startup & you lose the bottom bar & soft keys every soft reset. [taken from LG KS20 thread]
Remove tray icons except bluetooth (I don't have it) by installing individual attached cab files.
Let us know if you are successful in this project!
Thanks, catch-22
Here is screenshot of ver. 0.4:
SnapVue.zip contains skin for rlToday and LCD font, SnapVue-tsk.zip contains TSK file
(for remove BT icon (Widcomm stack) I move BTTray.lnk from StartUp folder to My documents and softreset )
Getting better tslany!
Now, we need to put something on the empty space in the middle of the screen like the original SnapVUE. Perhaps align the calendar, email, sms icons in one row and use standard WM5/6/6.1 today plugins to fill up the screen.
Better yet is to enable today plugins above to appear in the empty space between those icons. Wisbar Advance and/or Advance Desktop cannot do that, but I don't know if rlToday can do that either.
Anyway, great job & thanks for sharing. Let me know if I could still be of any help. Will try your design over the weekend, you're welcome!
I had a (little) pause, but now I'm going to work on it. Here is screen with "SnapVue" service from Shift
A if is able to somebody send video with demonstration of all function original SnapVue today plugin, I would have thankful
Sorry if this is the wrong thread.
MSVC is pretty useful but mapping a long key press can be annoying. Especially with the quick links now available in the new manila.
But there doesnt seem to be a way to add the msvc exe. Does anyone know if it's possible?
Using file explorer, go to your program files folder and open the ms voice command folder. Copy the .exe file. Now go to to windows, start menu, programs, and paste a shortcut there. I suggest renaming it and taking shortcut out of the title so it looks better. It will now be available for you to choice when mapping the phone key, or what I have done was add it to one of my top home tab shortcuts so it is easily available.
Hey thanks for that!
Wasnt even sure if it was possible but it works! finally, voice commands the easy way!
cheers.
EDIT: actually, just one more question... does anyone know if it's possible to have mp3s open in the manila music player when opened via MSVC rather than opening in media player.
Hi, I want to be able to change the fonts in the confluence skin. Using ES explorer and looking into the hidden files I cannot locate where that location is on the ftv file structure. (ie /sdcard/Android/data/xbmc/files/.xbmc/media/fonts, isn't there)
My intention is to get a larger font similar to the new one Kodi offers but in Arial then figure out a way to push that into the ftv. Any wiz out there please help.
Kodi has forums : http://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=125
Hi dumb question maybe not the right place to ask
I have a confluence pulsar skin and un like the other skins I use I cannot figure out how to change a menu item name as easily as other skins give you that option this one does not so if I misspelled a word while adding a addon on a skin I have to re add it all over again, same if I want to change the font color. Am I missing something? Ive tried looking it up in different locations seems no one has the same problem, Im running a Jarvis 16.1 rooted Fire TV, Thanks and sorry in advance if I did not post in right place Im not very good with forums.
