[Q] Samsung Professional Audio - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I've tried searching, but to no avail... Hope this is the right forum.
Is anyone implementing / attempting to implement the Samsung Professional Audio SDK with the N7100?
My thoughts are around the latency-free audio and being able to use the new Amplitude iRig for android for Guitar FX.
Cheers,
S.

[request] Audio Quality Fix during Video Recording (Auto Mic Gain Control?)

Would love for someone to be able to implement this fix either into an app or a kernel possibly. I can't stand not being able to record live music or really even anything with loud ambient noise/bass/variable sounds. The Video is pristine, the audio makes it completely unusable for anything.
I'd be willing to start a bounty for this.
I have the some problem, recording audio is useless right now!
Anyone? I need this also
if anyone knows of a way to do this, it would be awesome!

I was reading the s2 forum on this found a app called Hi-q that has a mic gain control, however its just a audio recording app. Wish there was a camcorder app that has the same function.

has anything come up in the past months to improve this ? I just went to a gig yesterday and came back home with great video with farting sound
saw something about GNex Toolkit having some mods for sound but I think it only runs on Windows ? (it's an .exe file). However if it's a mod I guess the specific mod can be extracted and installed on the phone using adb or whatever..
bump again...this must be annoying a lot more people
bump, still need this
Me too.
Would be nice...
Glad to find this one - Sad that there is not really a simple solution yet... bump
i just cover the mic with my finger while recording in loud environments it works for me xD

Actually can anybody give.me.the best preset because I searched Internet and did not find any
LOL, what do you mean best preset? Every body has different tastes as far as sound setting goes. Why don't you try different presets to see what suits you the best? I personally usually set it to "rock", but that's just me.

Video/ Sound stereo/mono recording

I'm on a HTC 10 full port ( Real Sense 8.0 & 8.0_g (S.Team) DualSim (S.Team) and everything works like a charm. But I found out, that comparing to the stock ROM, when shooting a video, the sound doesn't record in STEREO mode. I need help finding the right place in the system to modify and turn this feature on, please. Stock rom has it on. ALso, where to find the file to modify and make sound recording apps to stereo record also? Device is Desire 816dug ( Dual sim Qualcomm version
@kinghunki , maybe you can help?
please help me
EDIT:
Latest v.3.0.0 S.Team rom works fine with the stereo recording when shooting video. my last question is - how to make our device record stereo sound in Sound Recording apps? Even on stock roms they are mono. What part of System needs to be modified?

There's a couple xml files in /etc that may take care of it.
Like I said, I'll have to look into it further.

as I remember, someone said, when I was wearing a cyanogen rom. on my galaxy s4, which had stereo recording on stock roms., so that forum member answered my question in this way - As basis, AOSP or Android Original roms don't support 2 mics recording. That's all I know.
thanks for taking an interest on this!

Increasing headphone volume?

Hi there!
I'm just wondering if anybody knows how to increase the volume when having headphones connected. I've already installed Viper4Android yet I still find the sound to be rather insufficient... I've tried swapping some values in mixer_paths.xml but the changes won't stick after a reboot... Just curious if anyone has an idea or something?
I use VLC player for music on my microSD card. In advanced settings under Audio out change to OpenSL ES. The sound is much louder.
But only in VLC, not other apps.
Possible solution
Hi again guys!
I think I might have found a solution to the insufficient audio the solution was editing some values in mixer_paths_mtp
