Hi I went back stock via nandroid to 4.18.401.3 and I got update to 4.18.401.4 when it boots to cwm recovery and gives zip error, what's wrong?
You need to flash stock recovery,

Well I went back to my stock nandroid backup, it said there was an update (official from HTC) so I download and try to install. It just goes to recovery and says "E:signature verification failed Installation aborted". I put back the stock kernal as well if that means anything. Ideas?
stock recovery is needed..

Hi,
I have a branded HOX and flashed Arhd 9.7.2 on it .before I make a nandroid backup of my stock Rom .To get back to stock ,it's enough to restore my backup?Or is there anything else I must do ?

Best would be to re-lock the device and flash the RUU, if you don't get the RUU then restore the backup and flash the boot.img too.
...and flash stock recovery to be able to install the OTA.
I've unlocked the bootloader on my HTC One X but Clockworkmod won't allow OTA update. I'm still using the stock ROM.
Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You cannot flash OTA through Clockworkmod. Flash the stock recovery and then run the OTA.

I read something once about Finding the OTA zip (after Downlaod) just choose install later, and rename it to update.zip and move it to the root of the SD
then install update.zip using CWM
I have NOT tried this my self, but why not to try?
and don't forget to make a nadroid backup before trying anything that can affect your current ROM
anyway if this doesn't work, you'll have to flash stock recovery back

hi,
I just want to ask some noob questions, as I don't play around my set so much.
1) First of all, do I have to be on stock recovery to check for updates also ?
2) I rooted my phone using Hasoon's Toolkit and installed TWRP Recovery (didn't install a custom rom yet, on stock 4.1.1), but made a backup before flashing recovery. Do i have to flash stock RUU to come again to stock, or I can flash the backup I made before flashing the recovery ?
3) How i can find my stock RUU, my CID is TMOB_005.
Regards,
Kashif Rafiq
100+ views no reply, no one is ready to help ?
Can anyone with same CID confirm, whether update recieved or not ?

You can receive OTA updates if you have the following; stock recovery, stock rom, locked or unlocked bootloader.
I don't know where the RUU is for your CID but I'm sure there is a thread with it in somewhere.

Since u haven't flash a custom Rom you are stock, u just need to flash back the stock recovery and wait for tmobile to release the update. No need to relock.

I have downloaded stock recovery for my CID (TMOB-005), will executing these commands in fastboot mode restore stock status
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecoveryfile.img
fastboot erase cache
I have stock 4.1.1 rom already installed.

correct
And just to answer your other question, save the backup you made in twrp onto your computer in case you need it later, this is your nandroid. Then if you install a custom Rom and need to go back to stock at some time you just need to flash the boot.img from your backup and then flash your nandroid in recovery
Now go get the cakes
i've flashed the stock recovery, but after flashing when i try to go into recovery it shows red triangle with exclamation mark

is this the stock recovery, with no options of backup and restore (i haven't seen this before) ??? strange
anyone with CID TMOB-005 confirm whether update received or not ?
Nothing yet, we'll be one of the last carriers to get it as always...

Hello.
I have a HTC ONE X on CID HTC_001
I am on 3.20.401.1
I want to unroot but there is no RUU, I tried system recovery and clicking apply from update and then it said invalid command and rebooted.
I don't have a back up.
I want to unroot and return to factory so I can update my phone.
I do have both Nandroid back ups for 3.14.401.27
But I don't know what to do with it with jb hboot too?
I do have OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.20.401.1-3.18.401.1_release_314819jljj0efsej28nkon.zip
I tried doing Ractory RUU .zip in HTX one x all in one and it said it could not find the android-info.txt
Bootloader is unlocked with recovery: CWM 6.0.2.7
Whenever I try the new update in CWM it says aborted?

I've also got the .zip of the 4.18.401.1 update
I tried flashing ractory RUU zip with the 3.20.401.1 OTA
It said remote: 12 signature verify fail
I tried doing
fastboot flash zip upadte.zip
Where update.zip is the 4.2.2 update
And got Remote: not allowed
You don't need to unroot your phone if you want to update.
