I have problem with battery sensor. My phone says that battery is charged in 50% and can't charge it more. When I check battery in different phone it's fullly charged.
When my phone is discharged, in second one is about 70% left.
What can I do to solve this problem? I tried wipe cache partition, factory reset and reflashing rom. Currently I'm running CM11-M12

lately my battery was not at it's best so I decided to do a fresh wipe/install of latest cm7 nightly (38). Now I charged my phone fully to 100% with current widget reporting 0ma and then wiped the battery stats, simple steps I always do with a new rom or fresh install.
Now the weird thing is my battery was at 96% after a phone call and I decided to pull the battery out the phone and plugged it straight back in, when I turned the device back on battery dropped to 84%..???
I wonder why the at has happend? Was the battery not calibrated properly lately therefor causing a bit of an issue for me, it read 96% but 84% was the real value? e.g. was my phone never fully charged lately due to bad battery stats (which I wiped everytime)...
Just wondering if someone can shed light on this situation and or if you had similar experience ?
I'm now charging my battery back to 100% and hope I finally get my good battery life back...
Why did you pull the battery?
If this happened shortly after you wiped the batterystats it's probably because the phone hasn't had enough time (ie charges and rundowns) to gather enough information to make the new batterystats accurate.
normally , phone used up more power to boot. if your have 100% and then you reboot, you will lost 1-2% or at most 5% if you do wipe cache & dalvic cache because the phone need to rebuild the cache.
but if you lost >10+% , it must be that the battery calibration problem. maybe you still have more than 90% after you take out the battery but the display is wrong.
I calibarted the battery for more than 10 times, and yes i did it correctly..
but still every time i discharge the battery below 50% i get weird charging effect.
the device is charging fast until 80%, then chrges slowly until about 88%, then suddenly the precent is jumping to 100%..
its a bit annoying, anyone have a solution?
Which ROM are you on? I think a wipe and reflash may do it. Other than that I think you may have a faulty battery.
i use leedroid and it started since i rooted my DHD, i dont think the baterry is faulty because she have amazing capacity, and the full voltage is 4.2, it looks like to battery health is fine, its just that annoying precents in charging..
btw
this precent jump accour only when charging, when discharging all fine..
In that case I would start with a full wipe and reflash.
Okay, so my HTC One X wont charge to full, no matter what. Heres what I've tried so far...
- Wiped Battery Stats from recovery, then tried charging.
- Turned off the phone and left on wall charge for over 6 hours but still was less then 10% charged, then wiped the battery stats from recovery, and it gained 40% charge.
- When I wipe battery stats, phone does gains about 20% to 30% charge, but then starts to drain even when on charge saying "Your phone is using more power then supplied, close apps or turn off the phone."
- Once calibrated it when the charge was half, that was the only time it showed me 100% charged, but then again same problem.
Phone is rooted and running JB stock.
Any help would be appreciated....
batterystats.bin has absolutely zilch to do with this. It only logs things like 'x app ran for y ms' and does not affect the battery charge shown in any way.
Anyway, did you try charging with a different charger? Does charging from your computer change anything?
Yes, tried charging using my laptop, but still the same.
My htc desire HD gets unusually warm at the bottom close the sim compartment and drains my battery thats 100% charged in just an hour and few minutes. Even in airplane mode.
Whats worse is even when the phone is put off it still gets warn and my battery drains, I have tried everything possible to fix the problem from buying a new battery to installing battery saving apps and even flashing roms and even stock roms but Nothing works.
When i check whats using up the battery, it shows that the screen uses about 76% of the battery even when my backlight is deemed to the lowest.
Pleaze has anyone had this sort of pblm before? could it be a hardware pblm since the phone still gets hot when the phone is put off and the battery still gets drained.
Wipe Battery Stats
Try wipe battery stats in ClockworkMod.
Recently, I have replaced the battery and I have tried to completely to drain the battery and charge the phone offline up to 100% to recalibrate it, but although the offline charging logo shows the battery at 100% once I turn the phone on the battery icon shows it at 87% (and in twrp recovery as well). Again, this happens every time and this is my fourth attempt to recalibrate the battery without any success so far. I can charge it to 100% online but it looks like the phone doesn't like to hold it at 100% and quickly goes to 99% in a minute which is strange.
Another odd thing I noticed is that the battery starts to charge offline at 1% instead of 0% despite being completely drained and the phone unable to be turned on.
I also performed a total firmware reset using Odin but to no avail. Now suspicious if it's a motherboard or vendor issue. I had these issues even before the battery replacement and reflashing a stock firmware.
I'm running ArrowOS 11 with the latest bootloader (SM-960F - DBT)
