Greetings, I'm not sure if anyone has encountered an issue with their network with Google 5.0 rom. Everything else works amazing, the only thing I've experienced is that the only way I'm able to get signal is when I toggle network mode to "GSM ONLY", it won't work with lte/wcdma/gsm or wcdma/gsm either. I re-downloaded and re-installed and still have the same issue. I reverted back to previous ROMS and the network works fine on both. The only thing I could think of is updating my modem but not sure. My current baseband version is M919UVUAMDL. Thank you for your time.

Hi.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 T999 model on carrier T-mobile. Lately the phone has gone nuts and will get stuck on dialing out and will never make the call. Everything else works fine. Sometimes I have to soft reset, pull the battery and that will fix it for a call or two, then it will get stuck again. I have contacted T-mobile about this over 5 times and none of them can help. We tried to change the sim, reset the account. Etc and nothing. I have reset the cache, factory reset and even put in a good working sim card from another phone and the same problem comes up. During my latest troubleshooting I have narrowed it down to where I switch "network mode" to GSM only and that can make calls out all the time, but the data stays on E (which then I can't use the internet because it's so slow) When I switch back to auto I am sometimes able to place calls again, but only a few. After I test a few calls and leave the phone for a few minutes the phone will get stuck back on not making calls out and just saying "dialing".
Has anyone had the same problems or know of a fix? Currently I have been trying to flash the modem to different versions to see if that fixes the problem. The first two modems I have flashed did not work and came up with "unknown baseband".
If anyone can help I greatly appreciate it.
This is a known issue with 4.3.. What firmware are you on? Assuming you flashed the correct baseband for your device, the 'unknown baseband' message sounds like you are in 4.3 but what build? You can't flash any modems successfully less than 4.3

I was previously on 4.1.2 when the problem first started. I updated it to 4.3 and still the same problem.
jss15j.t999uvuenc2 build. (I put this one back on last night so at least I can use the phone today when I am at work)
I was just hoping that the device didn't go bad when it was on 4.1.2 because it was working just fine before the problem started.
Was it official update to NC2 by OTA/Odin or you just flashed a ROM?

NC2 was OTA. After doing some searches it said that OTA could of been corrupt, so I went and downloaded KIES and did a reinstall that way.
When I upgraded to 4.3 I tried that default baseband out and had the same problems. That is when I was searching on google and came across this forum and also the thread about flashing modems.
What APN (Access Point Name) are you on ? Also what is your Preferred Network Type set to ? Its located in Settings > More I think.(I don't use Stock Firmware)

APN is epc.tmobile.com
Network Mode current set to GSM (the only way I can make calls out without the problem occuring)
WCDMA/GSM (Auto Connect) is what it should be on so my data is at 4G, but the calls is the problem here
I am not sure but can you check the settings of the Dialer to see if there is ways to choose Lookup providers ?

Nope don't see anything in the dialer about selecting a provider..
Its supposed to be something about Choose Lookup Providers. At least that's the way it is on AOSP.
I suggest Odin flashing the stock NC2 firmware and then factory resetting from stock recovery. (Backup first of course!) If it is still an issue, it will most likely be a hardware problem. From what you have said so far, I believe that you will find this to be the case. Could've been due to damage from a drop, or even overheating at some point. Or it could just be that its simply due to hardware degradation over time.
Hey buddies!!

1st MethodEnter into service mode
By Dialing 5457#*988#
Change network mode to lte+global
or
wcdma only for 3G
lte for 4g
2ndMethod If 1st Method Does Not WorkEnter into service mode
By Dialing 5457#*988#
select wcdma service menu
Select wcdma/gsm band and select automatic
if does not work then try by ticking all frequencies
Hi,
i'm currently running the latest CM13 and have a problem with the Preferred network type. It stays on "LTE (recommended)" and i can't change it to 3G or 2G. In Phone information (*#*#4636#*#*) it stays on "GSM only" and won't change to anything.
When i go back to LG's Stock 6.0 all changes work. With previous versions of CM13 (first 5 versions i think) it works also.
Does anyone have any idea?

I have the same issue on my LG G4 h815. I cleanly flashed the latest nightly of CM13 (cm-13.0-20160102-NIGHTLY-h815.zip), after first upgrading to the stock 20A image and installed TWRP. I flashed CM13 using TWRP. Then I flashed nano gapps. H+ is the fastest cell tech here, and my phone just can't use the cell network (it seems to connect, but never shows H+ and no data bits are routed). And when I went into the menu to select 3G as the preferred network, it won't let me change it from LTE. It clicks when I choose 3G and 2G, but the selection stays on LTE. When I go into the special menu for radio options, same thing, I can't select a different network mode (it simply stays on the current selection). Wifi works just fine, but cell phone use doesn't work -- no calls, no data. I also upgraded to the next nightly, but it didn't make any difference in behavior.
@Chipstepper Can you tell me which CM13 image worked? I'm going to try cm-13.0-20151125-NIGHTLY-h815.zip ..
Same Problem here on my Moto X 2014. I tried every CM13 nightly between Christmas and early January. I was never able to change the Radiobutton in Preferred Networks and connection in phone information was always GSM only. I also tried a clean flash of the cm-13.0-20160108 nightly, still the same problem.
Now I switched back to my CM12.1 backup where it's working.
Can somebody name a nightly where it's confirmed working?
Hey guys,
i recently clean Updated from Fulmics 2.7 to latest 7.5. Everything worked fine until i suffered from Network completely droping while Wifi is active.
I tried different scenarios. The Bug is now reproducible.
1. LTE/3G/2G Auto Mode + Wifi >> Signal loss
2. LTE/3G/2G Auto Mode without Wifi active >> Signal stays active
3. 3G/2G Auto Mode + Wifi >> Signal stays active
4. LTE/3G Auto Mode + Wifi >> Signal loss
I tried almost every Modem available for the G3 in development section(21A,21C, Those hybrid types etc.). I tried different Roms now (Cloudy, Fulmics 7.0, ZOEs).
I made a clean install of the original Firmware (V30B via LGFlashTool). Reinstalled my Backup from Fulmics 2.7
Then i tried setting different APN Settings and tried messing around with LTE Bands in the hidden Menu. But nothing worked so far.
The Issue stays over all Roms and Firmwares and Modems and Fixes i tried
I really don't know what i can do now to fix this. Maybe s.o. got a Clue or Hint what else i can try.
The LTE function is essential for me because my Provider (O2 Germany) only builds LTE Networks and 3G got less coverage here.
The only thing i can imagine is that the SIM Card or the SIM Card Holder somehow got damaged??? The Card worked proper with Fulmics 2.7 for about 2 years now. Until the Update.
Thanks in advance

No one suffers from this?
Having Ressurrection Remix installed now and it works fine. So it has something to do with the Stock LG Rom?

I was having this problem on Fulmics rom but it was not total loss of signals. It keeps on connecting and disconnecting after few seconds. Stock works fine though.
I have the same problem. Using T-mobile lg g3 d855.
Trying to resolve still...
Hi,
I have been facing problem of not getting 4G LTE network on my One Plus 5T. And after a while I realised that it's after the latest OS update of OOS 5.0.3. I am in a full 4G network area and my sim is also working fine when I put it into different phone. So I know for sure that it is not a problem of Network or Sim as both are working fine. I have also searched on google abt the same and lot of people are facing the same problem however I could not find any fix or resolution for the same. I have tried clearing the cache from the recovery but no help, also I have selected LTE only thru *#*#4636#*#* but still no help. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
I'm assuming your APN name is correct?
It seems like almost all problems with Oreo updates are caused by dirty flashes. Typically a clean install fixes everything.
If you didn't do a clean install that's step one.

Hello
For information:
On ROM O+ 9.0.4, the 4G hook works better on the "Global auto (PRL)" parameter.
