I have a problem with my xperia t3, i inadvertently install this file M2_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-30_v01, and since then the touch screen gives me errors , pulse on the screen and not for where I hit, striking me down and opens the settings, it is as if the screen was set larger
Sorry my english isn´t very good.
Thank you
I'm not shure but you propably flashed kernel from m2 to your T3. You should flash a proper original kernel or original rom with flashtool. T3 does not have custom kenels and roms yet.
i tried
and I tried to install the original rom and still the same

Altpugh kernel seems to ne oroginal on your phone try last time to flash original software with flash tool, make sure that there is not chceckmark in the "exclude kernel" option and if problem persist than it is probably hardware problem.

A forum search turned up nothing, so I'm asking here:
On most Android phones, you usually go to Settings->About Phone and look under the "Kernel Version" section to see the name and version of the kernel you are running.
With my Galaxy Nexus, I don't see kernel names. Instead, I see something like:
Code:
3.0.31-g6fb96c9

No matter which kernel I flash, it always seems like the same type of info but no names or version numbers.
I was okay with that as long as I remembered what I flashed last. However, I recently reverted to stock but the kernel looks like it stayed the same. Is there anyway to check if I'm back on stock kernel or still running the last kernel flashed (franco, in my case)?
I'm running leankernel 4.3.0 it says the version

Most (if not all) kernels have a name similar to stock. But there is usually something amongst the numbers and letters which point to what kernel your running.
For instance my phone running trinity.
I know its trinity because it says dirtymorfic, morfic being the xda name of the trinity kernel developer. I only use stock kernel and trinity so can't comment on the others, but it will always look similar but also always have something pointing to the kernel your using. Hope this helps

1. Kernel and rom are developed much earlier, you weren't cheated.
2. Video clarity? Do you mean the video recording quality or the screen quality?

To my understanding, 4.1.2 allows home screen rotation and minor performance enhancing (i may be wrong) but if you flash a rom and it puts you on 4.1.1 its not a big deal as there are mods you can flash that will enable that option and it's actually built in to some roms. There's tw (touchwiz) roms and there's aosp roms, I suggest you do your research about the difference between the two before flashing either and of course make a backup before flashing anything in case something goes wrong. I also suggest no matter what rom you flash read the OP and at least the first and last 10 pages of that thread, that will give you a good idea as to what issues users have ran into and most likely the fix. Im no expert by any means and I do more reading than posting because just about any question i have has been asked and answered already. You can't go wrong with any tw rom and they all have different mods/tweaks...nothing wrong with trying them all...and the developers are incredible and more than willing to help you out (users are too) as long as you did your part in trying to find the answer your looking for before posting in they're threads. I can't say much for aosp because I stick with tw but I'm sure the devs/users there would help out as well. I can't stress enough about doing your research before flashing anything and always make a backup first. You had a successful root so your off to a good start, good luck man
Hello Everybordy,
I've recieved my brand new Galaxy S4 mini with it originial Samsung ROM (I9195XXUBMJ7 all exact data are specified here after **).
After only one week of use, I've rooted the phone and the day after, I said good bye to the Samsung ROM to install the last stable ROM CM10.2.
I only appreciated 2 or 3 stuffs from the previous ROM such as the notification sounds (whistling sounds or original musics) and a lense halo effect when unlocking the screen...
If you have any idea about how I could retrieve or download the original SGS4m sounds ?
If you have any idea about how I could retrieve the Smasung screen unlock animation ?
==> I would thank you very much !!!
Best Regards
Alex

Hello Yannick,
Thanks for your answer, I knew the path but obviously, the installation of the CM10.2 ROM erased the data included into this folder...
Any other idea ? maybe somenone with the original Samsung ROM with a Rooted phone could extract all the data contained into the folder / system / media / audio ?
Many thks for your help
Alex
I did all the process: unpack, change ramdisk to cloudy, repack and put into zip installer using my D802 I don't have pc, so here is the most far way to modified a kernel.
I use @somboons 30B stock bumped kernel & his bump script to made this un-important thing
You got nothing except newer build of stock kernel.
30B open:
Code:
[email protected]:/ $ su
[email protected]:/ # cat /proc/version
Linux version 3.4.0-perf-g88e404c ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.8 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Apr 16 22:21:38 IST 2015
[email protected]:/ #
CloudyG2 default:
Code:
[email protected]:/ $ su
[email protected]:/ # cat /proc/version
Linux version 3.4.0-perf-g2a934ab ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.8 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Apr 3 16:41:35 KST 2015
[email protected]:/ #
How to install: Flash from twrp.
Download:
30F stock for CloudyG2 3.x:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ue12JCB2NgRmszMlhhNWhNc3M/view
30B stock for CloudyG2 3.x:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ue12JCB2NgY1JwNzJHb2dBa2M/edit?usp=docslist_api
CloudyG2 3.1 default (original) kernel:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ue12JCB2Nga216bWlwZ0dod0E/edit?usp=docslist_api
Update:
1. I was thinking that the default kernel in Cloudy 3.1 was came from 30a open or 30d vdf (the first d802 LP build) but now I have sure that the default kernel (zImage) is came from 30e vdf so it's a new build too, only a few days older from 30b open.
2. I attach the script to create this mod if anyone curious howto modified a boot.img straight from the phone
3. Fixed the modules path. Thanks to @zioriky for the correction.
4. Both kernels tested works for Stock 30B.

I just download the file & flash again to see anything wrong. Seems everything is ok to me.
I attach the last_log from my cache/recovery folder, maybe you can compare the results from your log to see what happens.

The modules are in the lib folder?

You're right :good: sorry, I put the modules in wrong path
Thanks for your correction. Will fix it later.
Edit: Done the fix. Seems using different modules from 30e on 30b or maybe others are compatible & worked. I still see a working texfat module when check "lsmod" from terminal emulator.
So how it goes? Flash the kernel 30B and then flash the fix, and the reboot?

I fix the download link (remove the old one), just download and flash it & check the version from terminal emulator or hidden menu system info. Both are stock lp kernel with different build date.
What's the difference between the stock kernel and this one?

As stated in op, basically you got nothing except newer build date. Cloudy using 30e vdf zImage and I use 30b open. Both very similar just like you can install somboons bumped 30b kernel into his 30e vdf rom.
So it's useless? Not for me I already show a possibility to repack a kernel straight from my d802 for future experiments it's possible to use other custom zImage kernels like dorimanx repack with pure cloudy ramdisk. Of course the features of cortex brain script will lost, but still a nice experience for me to try
This would work withCloudy 3.2?

Yes, this works for cloudy 3.2 too. No kernel related was changed in Cloudy update.
Both kernels on op, tested works for Stock 30B too.
The explanation is simple, because both are stock zImage. The ramdisk part slightly changed by Cloudyfa, like removal of lg security check and set selinux permission to 0 (permissive).
Added newer stock kernel from 30f
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ue12JCB2NgRmszMlhhNWhNc3M/view
The modules still came from 30b but everything should works fine.
I think this kernel should works on stock 30F rom with selinux set to permissive. Not tested yet...
Hi All.
I am new to XDA so please be gentle and I need some help.
I have a GROM V-Line system installed and it has been giving me hell these last 11 months and I am unable to get a refund from the buyer. It is android powered and uses a custom rom etc. I was wondering if anyone out there has any knowledge of these units and can guide me through a way to maybe update the system to remove custom ROMs so I can use it as a normal android type device.
The current set up is running on Android 5.1.1
Kernel version: 3.10.0 [email protected] #11
Build number: Lite_VL1.6.0.0
Not sure if there is anything I could, I am ready for throwing this out of my motor now.
Please help.

Hi Ta,
I installed the Vline VL2 in my Lexus two weeks ago and initially had issues.
Here's my versions out of the box.
System update is Android 8.1 with last security patch dated Jan 5, 2019 and won't update further.
Kernel: (gcc version 6.3.q 20170404 (Linaro GCC 6.3-2017.05))
[email protected] #3
Fri Mar 19 05:27:15 PDT 2021
Vline shows VCore: V20VL3.37.0.0
VBase: 32.38 (L22)
No further updates available.
DashLinq version: 5.5.2.5
Knob Helper version: 1.0
WebView Shell version: 1.0
---
I was initially pissed too but after several resets my system is pretty stable.
One item that remains an issue is crashing when I have any SD card installed...As long as no SD card installed then system runs pretty good.
Several issues via launch controller were fixed with a $1.99 replacement launcher named AGAMA by altercars.ru. https://altercars.ru/#about
