[Q] TWRP Hanging - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

My wife's phone gets stuck when booting into recovery. It had 2.7.something installed, I put 2.8.3.0 on it with Odin and just tried 2.5.0.2 because some older posts suggested that.
Any suggestions? The blue screen that says teamwin shows up, but nothing else. Something potentially worth noting is that her phone always has a notification that says her SD card is blank or has an unsupported file system.

Flash newest recovery again and see if it still hangs. If it does, pull battery and reboot into recovery again. If it still hangs flash full firmware and try again. For the SD card, you might have to format it

[Q] Boot Loop and No recovery console

Hi,
I have become really stuck with this issue
ROM - 2.29.405.2
I origonally had a rooted phone with clockworkmod installed. I subsequently wanted to put it back to stock. Which i ran the latest RUU with the goldcard. I now am getting a continuous white HTC screen then vibrates and keeps doing this. No matter what i do i cannot get the phone into the recovery menu it just starts the reboot loop again.
I can get on fastboot and resend the same RUU to the phone. This installs without any issue and says that it is going to reboot the phone and going straight back to the rebooting loop.
I somehow need to get clockworkmod reinstalled so i can resolve this problem as it seems that the recovery partition is damaged somehow. I have s=on so i cannot force the restore of the recovery console with the colckworkmod as i get signature failure.
Is there an origional HTC recovery file i can use which gets past the signature failure??
"Clear storage" from HBOOT.
And give a try to the other way - download this zip , rename it "PB99IMG.zip" put it in the root of your SD card (not in a folder) , pull battery , plug it back , enter HBOOT (power+volume down) and apply it.
Edit: use goldcard if you are branded. If I understand you correctly, you say this "I subsequently wanted to put it back to stock. Which i ran the latest RUU with the goldcard" - if you flashed your original stock ROM, then you didn't need a gold card.
Branded
Yes i am branded.
Sure i tried this last time where it showed a blue meter on the right hand side. Went all the way and rebooted to the same if i rememeber.
But i will give it another go see if it works. Cheers.
I managed to get it to run the PB99IMG in the end which updated all parts without an issue. On rebooting of the phone it still does it boot loop.
I really done know what is causing this.

bootlooping after internal sd format

So i formatted my internal storage before a fresh install, which has sent my phone into a bootloop. I've pulled my battery and manually tried to boot into twrp and the blue "TWRP" screen comes up for about 3 seconds and then i'm back to bootlooping. I have the mjb bootloader or I would odin back to stock. download mode does work, and i tried to reflash my recovery which did pass via odin, but I get the same results. Any help would be great

Internal flash corrupted?

Today my N7100 suddenly rebooted without any warning and got stuck at initial Samsung boot logo (even sound gets into loop). I managed to enter recovery and tried to wipe cache partition. But every time I try to wipe anything or delete via twrp file manager - phone reboots
Should I try re-partitioning via Odin? What pit file do I use?

you can try to use Odin, but probably you have faulty eMMC, many similiar cases around the forums about rebooting and stuck on Samsung logo.
Probably PC won't recognise your phone and there will be nothing else to do, but to give it to service
Miracles happens! Re-partitioned and fully erased nand via Odin and managed to upload the rom! Have tried 3 time before it succeed (crashed few time on system and cache image writing). Everything seems fine so far. Won't upgrade the rom from the stock 4.1.2 for a while to keep phone working. I have the insane emmc chip by the way. Hope it won't fail again.

Phone wiped itself? And other problems.

Hello. I have a i317 Note 2, running on T-mobile. It is rooted and was running Blisspop 5.x rom. I had set my phone down and noticed it was on the Samsung screen. Figured it was just a random reboot; but it never booted up. I reboot into recovery (TWRP) to find that there is no OS installed. It says my internal storage is 0mb, my external storage is 0mb (I have a 32gb sd card). I cannot mount nor access external storage, or anything internal. I cannot format data. I am able to see my phone while it is in recovery on my computer. But once I put it in download mode, it can no longer be seen. ADB cannot see it in download mode, I cannot fastboot (unless I'm doing it wrong). I used Odin, which can see it in download mode, but it did not fix anything. Also, now the phone says it is unable to format to remove encryption.
Prior to this it had a problem where it would be unable to stat things. Is there any way to fix this? Or am I SOL?

You used Odin for what? Did you try flashing stock rom? Try using the rescue option in KIES. It has saved me in the past when I had messed up my device.

Sorry about that, forgot that bit! I used odin to flash the stock rom, and even tried a .pit repartition. Kies does not see the phone. At most, it sees it but will not connect. So there are no rescue options to be had.
I thought I made progress. I was able to do the firmware reset with Keis. The phone got to the blisspop launch screen but just stayed there. I rebooted into TWRP and it still said I had 0mb of internal storage, and still had no OS installed. ADB still didn't see the phone, either. Now the phone will no longer boot to samsung, or to recovery, or TWRP. If I hold the power button the proximity sensor shines for a moment but that's it.
Same problem here, same phone but t0lte that ran many ROMs over 4 trouble-free years . Still at the pre-Kies stage, thus still can access twrp. Tried overwriting twrp with philz or CWM - Odin says PASSED but reality say no dice - twrp is still the recovery. Tried flashing stock - Odin again said PASSED, but still have twrp reporting 0MB.
Spent 1day surfing xda to ensure I have correct files and procedures.
Wonder if there has been any solution found...
When flashing a new recovery, do not check auto reboot. Flash the recovery in Odin. When you see the word reset in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot into recovery. Hopefully, this method will work.

Stuck in install loop - keeps getting wiped on boot?

I'm trying to install LineageOS 17 on a OnePlus 6.
I can boot into twrp and the install process appears to work successfully. I can swap slots and install into either slot.
When I reboot the phone I get to the screen that says "Start" and "Fastboot mode" at the top. If I try to start the phone it comes back to this screen. When I go back into twrp, the contents of /sdcard is empty. I can copy over files using adb push, install the rom and then reboot. However, every time I reboot it seems like it completely wipes the phone including the install it's just done and /sdcard is also wiped.
When I booted into twrp previously, it required my unlock code. It now no longer does that. I wonder if this is part of the problem?
If I install just oxygenos, it takes me to the oxgenos recovery screen but I cant' do anything from there. I'm guessing that won't allow me to boot with an unlocked bootloader?
Can anyone advise how I can get out of this? Installing anything using twrp looks like it works, but it's like it gets wiped every time I reboot.
I can't even seem to get OxygenOS back to working.
Can anyone give me some tips on where to go from here? Nothing I can do from TWRP seems to help. I have tried wiping everything in both slots and reinstalling oxygen, no luck
Still stuck?
