So, I did figure out my sim card problem, if any of you happened to see that issue. Here is where I am at now. I have LG g pad 8.3, and it is the verizon varient. It is running 4.4.2. I need to root, install a recovery, and find a rom. I am scared the v500 roms won't work for it, and cannot find information on how to root the VK810. ANy help is greatly appreciated.

I bought my LG G3 D851 brand new. As soon as I charged it and powered up I got a notice for a system upgrade. Naturally I did it. So it made Lollipop 5.0.1 on my phone. My next step was to root it. Well that's when the hell started. There several guides and tutorials. None are working. I'm with Wind Mobile in Canada ?. Not that that should matter should it? My question is will I be able revert my firmware back to the original and root it easily.? I was told that trying to root with ? is not likely going to work. How can I put my phone back to the "out of the box" state so I can root it?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Hi all
I followed this guide to downgrade my Android OS from 5.0.1 to 4.4.2 http://www.androidexplained.com/downgrade-lg-g3/. I did everything as suggested, used LG Flash with the D581 BIN and DLL files. The downgrade worked and I was able tto root the phone.
However, when I put in the SIM card, it says service is disabled. The card works fine (using it now on another phone), and it worked in that phone when it wad Lolipop, so it must have been the downgrade. I also checked the imei on the Tmobile site and it's fine too.
What can I do to repair it? What should I download? I'm pretty inept when it comes to all these processes, but I really want to fix this, having the phone working and rooted. I'd really appreciate any help. Even just getting it back to Lolipop would be great. Or would flashing a.custom ROM, like Cyanogenmod, end up fixing the SIM.card situation?
Thanks so much!
pardon me if this has been answered before, but i cant seem to find anything on the forums.
I have D856 dual LTE and i recently flashed stock 6.0 on it using LGUP flash tool. i need help rooting it and installing TWRP on it.

I am working on rooting my Telus LG G4. I have done a bunch of research and I noticed that LG has finally allowed people to root and void warranty in europe. Has anyone done this in Canada? Does this work on MM in Canada?
My other option is to downgrade to LL, I have already downloaded the KDZ I need and LGUP. I have everything backed up, before i go about this has anyone downgraded with success?
Thanks again I miss having custom rom installed, Plus we all know the LG G4 has its negative im hoping the roms will help with them.

As I have done some more research I see custom roms will not happen but there are WAY more reasons I want root on this thing. Again thanks everyone.
Hello!
I've got a little or maybe a big problem with rooting my LG G3. For now i've got android 6.0 Marshallow installed.
I spent on this whole day and I think i tried every possible way.
I tried stump root(i guess it only works for kitkat) , purpledrake root, kingroot..
Moreover I tried to downgrade to android 5.0 but my device is "unknown" for LG UP. Also, I tried LG Lash tool but it returned an error too.
Do you guys know any other way to root this device? Thanks in advance ;c
I got the same problem.
Hi! Sorry that I'm responding so late. I found that i had the problem with downgrading becouse of wrong LGUP zip.
I found correct one here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81kb6fqHxUo&list=LLF_c9VT9RRrxMaH_s9qwFWQ&index=1&t=283s in video description.
Now with LP installed root should be possible.
