Hey All,
Has anyone used the wireless display functionality on their Note 8 tablet? I have the Actiontec Screenbeam pro, which works with Miracast and Intel WiDi certified devices. I am not sure if the Note is Miracast certified since it uses its own kind of wireless display technology, but it can see the Screenbeam no problem.
When trying to connect to the Screenbeam, it connects, then says successfully connected. However, before it displays anything on screen, the TV shows 'Pairing failed' and the Note shows "Wireless mirroring could not be started due to a hardware error."
I am currently running Terok Nor v2.0 ROM and CivZ-SphereXtreme-Rev3.2 kernel. could it possibly be due to the rom or kernel I am running?

HI, I hope someone can help me with connecting my HTC One M8 to the Toshiba Smart TV using MIRACAST/WIFI Direct.
To clarify:
I dont want to use HTC Media Link Accessory.
I also dont want to use Chromecast Dongle Accessory.
My HTC One M8 is with KitKat 4.4.2, sense 6 Stock. I believe any android 4.4 onwards is MIRACAST/WIFI DIRECT enabled. My Toshiba TV is also wifi-direct/miracast enabled.
The phone finds my TV as a miracast enabled after scanning through MEDIA OUTPUT option. When I press connect, the TV screen screen shows a pin to use which I put into my phone request box and then after a few seconds, the phone displays " UNABLE TO CONNECT TO TOSHIBA TV "......
It is driving me crazy. I have trie dit many times, reboots etc. but same result all the times. I have successfully connected my previous samsung galaxy note 3 to the same tv using exactly the same process and worked like a treat for screen mirroring.
Is it something wrong with HTC M8? I heard that there is some problem with Sense 6 ?
Anybody please help ??? Appreciate it in advance
I would like to watch a TV show say on USA network on my phone and mirror it with sound to my smart TV. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I have a roku but the shows I want to see are only on the network web site
Hello everyone,
I am about to buy a smart TV soon(a Samsung smart led TV model ua48j5200) and it's specs includes screen mirroring but Samsung website mentioned that all devices must be on the same network and that internet connection is required!!!
My question is will I be able to cast/view my mi max screen on such tv ? and why is internet needed for such connection?
Well it states "Mobile to TV - Mirroring, DLNA"
http://www.samsung.com/us/televisio...s-smart-tv-48-class-47-6-diag-un48j5200afxza/
What it Doesn't state is what WiFi module is integrated.
I had a problem with the Mirroring on Sony, it worked but rather whose too slow & unless probably the WiFi 2.4 GHz module on the TV side, so I switched to DLNA casting using Nero Stream app & so far it works.
Hi,
I received today my phone, I updated to Android Pie, and now I see that I cannot discover my TV which supports miracast. I also tried to switch off Wlan.
Of course I considered downgrading to Android Oreo, but I read it's a bit troublesome (dual sim stops working when downgrading).
By the way I'm asking to xioami forums too (I cannot post external link), but I don't think I can expect a fast fix
Any idea? Thanks.
